Grecotel Casa Adele

We had a wonderful family stay at Grecotel Casa Adele with our three children and we felt so happy and welcome throughout our holiday. The staff were truly amazing. They were warm, friendly and always willing to help with a genuine smile. You could clearly see that they enjoyed their jobs and took great pride in looking after their guests. Their hospitality was excellent and they made our whole family feel special. The children really enjoyed the kids’ club. The staff there were lovely, patient and engaging and made the activities fun for them. It gave the children something exciting to look forward to and also allowed us as parents to relax knowing they were happy and well looked after. The entire hotel was very clean, peaceful and beautifully maintained. Our children loved the swimming pool and we also enjoyed the easy access to the private beach. We left with so many lovely family memories. A big thank you to all the staff for making our holiday so enjoyable. We would happily return and highly recommend Grecotel Casa Adele to families visiting Crete.

We have just come home from an 8 night stay as a family of 5. We booked last minute and really liked the look of the area Casa Adele was in. The hotel looked great but it was so much more than that! We had the best stay here. We arrived around 11pm via private transfer to a member of staff at the front of the hotel who had whisked our bags away before we knew it! We sat in reception whilst we were given a brief (as it was late) but thorough run down of everything we needed to know. We were then shown to our rooms. We had asked for our 2 rooms to be as close as possible and they were, one below the other. The hotel has been renovated and was so clean and modern but with a warm feel. This was the same with our rooms. The ground floor room was great with double bed in bedroom and sofa bed all made up in lounge. Tvs, with prime video, Netflix, BBC news etc in lounges with studio kitchen, fridge with small freezer and air-conditioning throughout. The furniture in the bedroom on the lower floor was all dark wood which was a bit dated and didnt really go with the fresh feel of the room. Beds and linen were spotless. Bathrooms all looked renovated and showers were in the bath but this wasn't an issue for us. Showers were powerful and perfect temp. Housekeeping came every day and did an amazing job. Upstairs rooms were the same layout but with lovely cream wardrobe which was gorgeous. Lots of cupboard space and safes in each room. Lovely upstairs balcony and lower room had a lovely garden balcony. The gym was modern and large enough with lots of machine and dumbell rack, air con was a bit hit and miss, felt hot after being in there for a while. There is a spa with indoor adults only pool which we didn't use but looked lovely. 3 other pools, one by main hotel which is the biggest and always manged to get beds, another longer pool which seemed to be where families with younger children went as it was partially shaded and another pool near the spa with swim up rooms off it. All pools were gorgeous and very clean. Infact the whole place was spotless, people constantly cleaning and mopping the tiles outside, never saw any litter or rubbish. We had bed and breakfast and were greeted with such helpful friendly staff every morning, they honestly couldn't do enough to help you. Breakfast selection wasn't like a huge all inclusive, it was well though out and personal; cereals, fruit, nuts, breads, cheeses, meats, the most amazing greek yogurt, all hot breakfast available too, porridge, cakes, it was perfect. Casa Adele is right in the middle of Plantanas, which is the best location for popping out for tea, shops all round, tavernas, no 20 bus stops outside door to go to Rethymno Old Town (15 mins away, get tickets in the supermarket 2 mins walk away) and they also offer their own area on the beach over the road, with sunbeds and parasols. There is so much more I could write, I dont normally do reviews but if your considering it book this hotel, we had the most amazing holiday here, Crete is beautiful, and Casa Adele was the perfect place to see it all from. The staff and the running of this hotel were amazing. So professional, clean, safe, ideal location, modern and friendly. Would highly recommend. 5 stars.

We stayed at this hotel with friends for 10 days. The room had everything you needed, including a kitchen. Cleaning was good, and fresh beach towels were always provided. Sunbeds and umbrellas were provided free of charge on the beach. Be aware that there are rocks near the entrance to the sea; it's best to wear appropriate footwear or go left to another part of the beach. Another problem is that if it is very windy, there will always be high waves on the coast. The hotel offers good breakfasts and dinners. If you're looking for something to eat at lunch, you can go to one of the tavernas, which are just down the street. The only thing we didn't like was the coffee at breakfast, all the other food was excellent. The staff is very friendly, both the waiters and the receptionists. They were always ready to help and advised other beautiful beaches to visit. We'd like the pools to be open longer. Swimming was not allowed after 7 p.m.

We stayed here recently for our first holiday abroad with our two children and couldn’t recommend it enough. The staff are amazing and so friendly, the hotel is immaculate and kept very well. The food was a highlight, we went half board. The meals are in a buffet style with so much choice, everything is fresh and delicious. I looked forward to breakfast each morning. Evening meals featured local dishes, Greek classics, lots of salads, handmade pizzas, pasta dishes, fish, various meat dishes, rice and vegetarian options, the list goes on! We stayed for 7 days and each day the food was different, never had a bad meal. The hotel has a private section on the beach about 3mins walk from the hotel. The kids loved the pools and there is also a spa should you want to treat yourself. Excursions around the island can be booked from shops just up the road and local supermarkets are a short walk. I would highly recommend staying here for a family holiday.

We returned home a month ago, but the wonderful feeling from our two week stay is still lingering, and once again, our expectations were completely surpassed. This was our fourth consecutive year here, and it speaks volumes that many of the same staff members are still here year after year. From the moment we arrived until we checked out 14 days later, we experienced warmth and helpfulness far beyond the ordinary. The team’s approach is wonderfully professional yet familial, and everyone makes a genuine effort to give guests the best possible experience every single day. Whether it was the smooth welcome at reception, the personal and attentive service in the dining room, or our fantastic chats with the chefs, every moment felt special. We also made regular use of the gym, which is clean, well equipped, and spacious enough to never feel crowded. We truly have only positive things to say and are already looking forward to returning next year!
