The hotel offers good value for money. The rooms are new, renovated, clean, and spacious. Efficient air conditioning. Very clean (new, renovated) bathrooms. We had rooms in the buildings in front of the pool, right by the hotel entrance with a sea view from the . The staff was very polite and friendly – from the reception, housekeeping, barman, manager, and even the bus driver. Breakfast is available at Mare Village, and lunch and dinner at Mare Blue. Shuttle bus runs between hotels all day, every 15 minutes during meal times. There are two buses available – a smaller one and a larger one – during busier times, the drivers switch to the larger one. It can take about 15-20 people, but if more people are waiting, the driver returns to pick up those who couldn't fit. The drivers are very polite and helpful – guests going for lunch or dinner are dropped off very close to the main restaurant. The walk from the Mare Village to Mare Blue (downhill) takes a few minutes (maybe 3-5 minutes) – there's even a tunnel under the road to shorten the walk. Breakfast at the Mare Village Hotel: constantly replenished, with a full breakfast until 10:00, then continental. Repetitive but sufficient. The only thing missing is live cooking – for example: an omelet station. The selection is standard for a 4-star hotel: fried eggs, bacon, sausages, beans, potato croquettes, pancakes, Greek dumplings, yellow and white cheeses, cold cuts, feta cheese, yogurt, fresh fruit, vegetables, muesli, cereals, jams, bread, croissants, and cakes. Lunch and dinner at Mare Blue: A large selection, constantly replenished even 15 minutes before the end of the meal. Live cooking – fish, grilled meat, Greek gyros – something different every day, repeated in 7-day cycles. A large selection of meat dishes, less fish – but at least one fish dish was available every day. A large selection of salads, vegetables, and desserts. I consider the buffet to be standard for a 4-star hotel; perhaps in a 5-star hotel, I would have expected more seafood. The dining room was quite noisy, but the staff cleaned it efficiently. We were a group of six and never had a problem finding a table. Drinks included wine (white, rosé, red), beer, water, and soft drinks – both carbonated and still – the drinks were quite sweet. The Mare Village pool: quiet and clean, with no sunbed reservations – finding a set was easy at any time of day. Beach towels available at reception without a deposit. The Mare Blue beach – large, with dark pebbles that get quite hot. The umbrellas and sunbeds are a bit worn, but still in good condition. You can still find free sunbeds and umbrellas around lunchtime. The sea is full of fish, practically right on the shore, a real treat for all swimmers. Even our teenage children admitted they'd never seen so many fish so close to shore. A huge PLUS! Free Wi-Fi, working well throughout the entire complex – both in Mare Village and Mare Blue. Safes in the rooms, with key locks – no extra charge, also a PLUS. DriveNow car rental service is in the hotel lobby – we used a car for four days – everything was very convenient, and the price was even lower than in Koutsounari. On the road between the hotels – there are three souvenir shops, several tavernas, and an additional car rental service. The bar at the Mare Village hotel: very friendly service. The drinks selection is limited. In my opinion, it's worth expanding the selection, even as additionally paid drinks. I'd happily order a Mojito, Baileys, or even a Frappé – even as paid option. This wasn't possible at Mare Village; a wider selection of drinks was available at Mare Blue. But honestly, we enjoyed sitting in the quiet of Mare Village in the evenings, chatting, and playing cards. But it is worth to mentioned that the bar staff was very polite and helpful. The drink selection is an area I feel could still be improved. Pool Water – During our 10-day stay, we experienced two days of strong winds. This unfortunately affected the pool water temperature, which quickly gets cold, even in August. When the wind isn't blowing, the water warms up very quickly, and after just two days, it was already warm. I've stayed in many hotels on different continents – including some very exclusive ones. Mare Village is a 4-star hotel – adequate for the price paid. There's no luxury, but it's clean, tasty, and comfortable. And the staff is really friendly.

It was an amazing holidays. We had a lot of great time. The location was perfect for us, and the atmosphere also. The rooms were beautiful and the village looks similar to Santorini so we were very happy and took a lot of photos. Service was very kind and helpful. I think we would come back here because it was the best hotel in the neighbourhood.
