Ocean Heights View Hotel

By far the worst holiday I have ever had. I don't expect luxury or a five-star standard. But when I book an all-inclusive holiday, I expect decent conditions, respectful treatment and the possibility to actually relax. Unfortunately, this holiday was a huge disappointment. The hotel was average at best, with dirt, a neglected and unpleasant surroundings, organizational problems and, above all, extremely unfriendly staff. The “all-inclusive” formula was far from what we expected. In practice, it felt more like three meals a day. The food was monotonous, leftovers were often reused in other dishes, snacks were rationed and counted by the piece, and even drinks were limited. It was difficult to feel like we were actually enjoying an all-inclusive holiday. Our initial rooms were so disappointing that, after complaining, we were moved to one family room. Instead of two rooms with separate bathrooms and proper beds, we ended up with one bedroom and three single beds. There were also ants in the room, which I had to report several times. We were initially charged the accommodation tax for two rooms, even though after the change we were using only one. Despite expecting a refund for the second room, we never received it. The reception staff were particularly unpleasant, and I personally witnessed Polish guests being treated dismissively when asking for rooms that matched the advertised offer. Unfortunately, many Polish tourists I spoke to had similar experiences. It genuinely felt as though Polish guests were treated as second-class customers. The hotel entertainment was almost exclusively in French, which made it difficult for Polish guests and children to participate. Some situations involving Polish children were particularly unpleasant. One bright spot was Raphael, one of the animators, who made an effort to include English and engage everyone. He was also genuinely kind towards the children. The number of problems was so extensive that my complaint eventually reached 10 pages and was supported by more than 70 photographs. The area around the hotel was also dirty, unattractive and often unpleasantly smelly. The most telling part of the entire experience? I was more excited about the flight home than I had been about the flight that brought me here. Definitely not the holiday we paid for, and certainly not an experience I would recommend.

for Greece.. regular hotel. far from everything. the market is not an external one, is inside the hotel.. so same thing.. far from the beach, one si gle shuttle for the beach, only 2-3 times a day, at fixed hours; no private beach of the hotel or something to drink at least a bottle of water. wild unused beach, near the street, actually . The hotel is full of french tourists- only french programm for kids at night. not one single song in greek, in a week.. what to ask more, for at least one night with greek specificity.. food more or less the same, rather small variety. not to come back, anyhow. and the ultimate discovery in tbe last day, they took all our all inclusive bracellets down at check out, even if we had all day to stay in the hotel (the check in was in the laste afternoon, evening..). nowhere have we experienced such humiliation.. like if you want to eat, you have to pay until the bus cones after you in the evening.. no way

We booked this trip expecting a relaxing holiday, but it turned out to be the worst hotel experience we have ever had. The reality on-site was completely different from what was advertised. The Rooms & Hygiene: Outdated: The rooms are extremely old, run-down, and look nothing like the promotional photos. Pests: We had ants, bugs, and even lizards inside our room throughout our stay. Lack of Maintenance & Safety: The AC barely worked during peak heat hours (and only ran when the key card was in). The shower had no holder for the showerhead, and the safe didn't come with a key, making it useless. Privacy Issues: Ground-floor balcony doors opened directly onto a public walkway, meaning we couldn't vent the room without risking someone walking in and stealing our belongings. Separated Beds: As couples traveling together, we were given separate single beds that couldn't even be pushed together. Reception repeatedly brushed us off when we asked to change rooms. Food, Drinks & All-Inclusive: Discrimination: There was a completely separate, better drink menu for French guests. Polish/international guests had their drinks strictly limited in both quantity and alcohol content. Fake "Snack Bar": The snack bar was virtually non-existent—just limited portions of pancakes or donuts served after waiting in long queues. Monotonous Food: The main buffet options were very limited and disappointing. French-Only Entertainment: All animations and activities were conducted exclusively in French, completely excluding everyone else. Service & Atmosphere: The owners and management were extremely rude, hostile, and unhelpful. Instead of addressing valid concerns, they treated guests with total disrespect. Right after midnight, staff would deliberately shut off all the outdoor lights around the bar area to force sitting guests to leave. Save your money and avoid this place at all costs.

I would strongly advise against this hotel – reality is far from the photos and the 4-star rating. The biggest problem is check-in and check-out. We arrived at 5am after a sleepless overnight flight, but check-in wasn't until 15:00 – we were told to wait in the corridor or by the pool, 10 hours in total with no room. Check-out works the same way: if your flight is in the evening, you still have to leave the room by 11am, and your all-inclusive wristband is cut off immediately – leaving you with no food or drinks for the rest of the day. Internet is practically non-existent. There's a shared network and password, but it doesn't work in the rooms, and in the lobby near reception it barely connects and is very slow. The food was the worst we've experienced at an all-inclusive. The same reheated dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner, often "recycled" from the previous day – e.g. a salad made from leftover cold cuts mixed with pasta, or rice with sliced sausage from the day before. Coffee is from a machine, but instant, not ground. No juices, only soda and 3 types of drinks from a dispenser. Staff, especially the Greek staff, were mostly unfriendly – you don't feel like a valued guest, you're anonymous. The receptionist who tried to push us into a family room instead of our booked sea-view rooms refused to give her name when asked, then implied we could be thrown out of the hotel if we posted a negative TripAdvisor review. A pleasant exception were the Filipino housekeeping staff – rooms were properly cleaned, though only swept, not vacuumed. The hotel is organized entirely around French guests – all animation and activities are in French, and French guests get different wristbands giving access to more drink options and better, renovated rooms. Polish guests (separate outside entrance) get worse rooms and only 3 identical non-alcoholic hose-dispensed drinks, plus cheap vermouth and watered-down beer. Rooms are noticeably below the photos – old, not renovated, air conditioning leaks (a puddle forms on the floor and desk), and for some guests it didn't work at all. Hot water runs out in the evenings, and the showers are neglected. We paid extra for two adjoining sea-view rooms and instead got rooms on different floors – one small one with a sea view, one larger one without. The AC unit on the balcony is loudly noisy. On top of that, there's an extra 10 EUR/night charge for the "4-star" category, which the standard doesn't match. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere – the nearest beach (rocky) is about 1 km downhill, and there are no shops or restaurants nearby – the only way out is to rent a car (around 60 EUR/day). Pools are small, not very clean, with a noticeable chemical smell, and there's no proper pool for swimming laps (the longest is only 1.2m deep). Loud music plays constantly, cicadas are very noisy in the shade, the shared pool restroom smells unpleasant, and in several spots dead grass has been replaced with artificial turf. The gym is run-down, has no air conditioning, and the equipment is broken.

I spent 5 days at this hotel, and I’m leaving with incredible memories. I truly enjoyed every moment of my stay from beginning to end. The food was excellent. There was a wide variety of dishes at every meal, with something to suit everyone’s taste, whether you prefer local cuisine, international dishes, fresh salads, or delicious desserts. The hotel is modern, beautiful, and impeccably maintained. I especially appreciated its peaceful atmosphere, which made it easy to relax and fully enjoy my vacation. Everything is designed to make guests feel comfortable and at home. The staff are always smiling, welcoming, kind, and attentive. A huge congratulations to the entire entertainment team! Without a doubt, they are one of the hotel’s greatest strengths. You can clearly see the excellent teamwork, their genuine friendship, and their outstanding coordination. They welcome guests with a smile, create an amazing atmosphere, and always take the time to listen to everyone. The activities are varied, fun, and suitable for all ages. The entertainers are energetic, funny, caring, and always in a good mood. They take the time to chat with guests, encourage anyone who wants to join in, and create a warm, friendly atmosphere where everyone feels included. The evening shows were absolutely fantastic. They are the perfect opportunity to discover each entertainer’s personality and talent. You can tell how much time, effort, and passion they put into making guests happy, and it truly shows in the quality of the entertainment. I highly recommend this hotel! I had an exceptional stay, and I’ve already booked my next vacation in Crete at this hotel! I can’t wait to come back and relive this wonderful experience. 🫶🏻
