We visited as a family of 6, having 2 rooms (one family room and one double room). The hotel is beautiful, very clean and with excellent facilities. There are lots of activities and we really enjoyed the archery and the aqua cycling. The staff are excellent, with deserved mentions to Sam and Micheal on the pool bar and Fabien in the restaurant. The TUI entertainments team work really hard and are friendly and engaging. The whole family enjoyed the "Jukebox" show and so a big thank you to the team. There are a large number of sun loungers and there is no morning rush to get them - you can enjoy breakfast and easily find sun loungers at 10am. The beach is small pebbles and you will need water shoes, but the water is crystal clear and there are plenty of fish to see. The watersports team on the beach are great and the Jetski's are brilliant fun. The resort is out on its own and there is only one fish restaurant nearby, but the onsite "special" restaurants were enjoyable - our favourite was the Trattoria Italian. The main restaurant team are brilliant and our children loved the freshly cooked pizza section. The food was good, with a large variety and all dishes good quality. The restaurant does get busy at peak times (7.30pm - 8.00pm) and sometimes you have to queue for the main grill section, but it is not an issue. Lots of tables both inside and outside the restaurant and the team organise tables and help seat families. There is a local bus to Lindos or Rhodes, with a bus stop at the entrance to the hotel. It is cheap and easy to use, but the buses run on their own schedule (not the published one!) and there are only a couple of buses back to Plimmiri each day. The hotel is big, but the golf carts are brilliant and will easily zip you to where you want to go. A special mention to Christien who would arrange times to pick us up from our door and take us to the restaurant - our children loved riding on the back of the golf carts! The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with huge showers and good air con. Now for the negatives / areas where the hotel can improve. The white wine in the restaurant is undrinkable - it smells and tastes like the homemade wine dads used to try to make in the 80's - it was terrible. The rose was drinkable and that was the girls go-to. It is windy - nothing the hotel can do about that and it isn't a problem, just bring towel pegs to secure the towels to the loungers. The biggest negatives are with blocks 12 and 13 and block 64. The hotel has an onsite sewage treatment plant located next to block 13 and opposite block 12 - it stinks, constantly. The hotel state that the smell is transient, dependent on wind direction, etc - no it isn't. The smell was 24/7 and can be smelt when trying to enjoy the balcony. For clarity, the smell is by block 12 and 13 only, not the rest of the hotel. Block 64 has some of the best sea views of the whole hotel - genuinely lovely. BUT, block 64 is by the rear of the Taverna restaurant which has 5 large fans associated with the kitchen, they are constantly on and during the day relatively quiet (you can hear them, but it is a low background hum), but in the evening when the restaurant is busy, they are on flat out and you can't have quiet enjoyment of your balcony / terrace. The hotel know about both of these issues with the hotel / blocks. The management / owners, need to allocate some Capex and sort out the horrendous smell from the treatment plant by block 12/13 and divert the sound from the fans out to sea by block 64. My daughter was also disappointed by the silent disco - she loves a silent disco and it could have been so good but for the poor DJ's. They need to learn what a good tune is and how to pack a dance floor! Overall the Tui Magic Life Plimmiri is a beautiful resort, with brilliant staff, great facilities, good food and extensive grounds / pools. I would return to the Tui Magic Life if I could pick my block. If I couldn't, I wouldn't.

Just had a week away with family (wife, 13 year old son and 11 year old daughter) at Tui Magic Life Plimmiri, Rhodes. Had an absolutely lovely time. Some thoughts set out below: Our room: Separate double bedroom for my wife and I. Children slept on two separate sofa beds in the lounge area. This worked perfectly as we have found it difficult in recent years to find places that have a separate bedroom and the option of two separate beds for the children. On first sight, the place seems enormous. Arrived at about midnight and got taken to our room by one of the golf buggies. Over the course of the next day or so, it's all walkable and not as big as it first seems. We were in the rooms towards the family pool and beach. This is on the lower level of the site, the genius of the elevator that takes you between the two levels is welcome (works fine, no glitches). Facilities: Used the gym every day. Well equipped and relaxed atmosphere. Two pools on the upper level were great. Lots of activities in the main pool. There was absolutely no pressure to join in but was available if you wanted too. Food: Despite being a big hotel, it never felt crowded. We went to dinner at around 7:30 each evening. Did not have to queue for tables at any point (there are inside and outside options). Food was great. Some repetition as always with large hotels but it was always fresh and really nicely presented. Breakfasts were great with lots of options. Lunch was plentiful and lovely too. All inclusive: Pool bars had lots of drinks options. The one practical thing that is perhaps different from other all inclusives (and this is not a criticism but an observation), there was no where to get ice cream or chips for the children at the upper level of the complex during the day. There was a snack bar in that area and that served lots of different filled rolls etc. But kids like chips and ice cream. Staff: Were wonderfully friendly and helpful. I can say no more. Other residents: Seems to be a mix largely of British and German guests. No issues, staff spoke multiple languages. A testament perhaps to the nature of the guests was a noticeable lack of football shirts - a refreshing change. Weather: Cloudless skies, 30 degrees. At times a bit windy but it didnt really upset anything. Transfer: It is a longish transfer (2 to 2:40 hours dependent upon hotel drop offs). We arrived at around midnight so that was tiring. Nothing can be done about that though. Overall, a lovely relaxing holiday. Overall, a lovely time
