Hard Rock Hotel Bali

If you have kids, Hard Rock Bali is basically low-key Disneyland with cocktails. Honestly, for families looking for fun it’s one of the best stays ever… If you don’t have kids, or you want a peaceful Bali experience, imagine attending a rock concert where the opening act is 400 sugar-fuelled Minions running around wet, screaming, and committing minor poolside crimes ("Cannon-Ball!"). Any fantasy of serene tropical luxury will disappear approximately 12 seconds after check-in. That said; as a parent of a daughter with sensory autism who loves waterslides, I actually found it surprisingly manageable. We were able to find quieter spaces, and sometimes paid a little extra for more private pool areas which helped enormously. The staff were lovely and we never felt uncomfortable. Also, the location is fabulous. Kuta gets such a bad rap, but I had peak mum-holiday moments: Elsa/Anna style hair braiding, Zara shopping, nail appointments, YouTube on demand, room service… perfection. Our group of five ranged from ages 5 to 50, and genuinely everyone had a great time. Final advice: Come for the fun. Come for the beautiful chaos. Come for the giant pool, waterpark and cocktails and family time. But DO NOT come expecting peace and quiet.

Our stay at the Hard Rock Hotel Kuta was nothing short of incredible and exactly the kind of family environment we were hoping for while travelling with young kids. From the moment we arrived, every single staff member made us feel genuinely welcomed. It never felt forced or scripted — it honestly felt like they were truly happy to have us there. Every request we had, no matter how small, was taken seriously and handled quickly with kindness and professionalism. What really made this place special was the atmosphere created by the people. Everywhere you went around the resort, staff would greet you with huge smiles, wish you a great day when leaving the hotel, and welcome you back with so much warmth and energy that it was impossible not to feel good being there. By the end of our stay, it genuinely felt like we were surrounded by extended family rather than hotel staff. Travelling with young children can sometimes feel stressful, but here we were actually able to relax and focus on spending quality time together as a family because the team around us made everything feel effortless and enjoyable. The buffet breakfast each morning was outstanding. The variety was massive, everything was fresh, and there was something for everyone. The fruit was incredible, the coffees were made with care, and staff were always happy to bring anything we needed to the table with a smile. We honestly felt spoiled the entire stay — like royalty. We wouldn’t hesitate to come back again. The only thing worth mentioning for first-time visitors is that Kuta itself is very busy and the streets around the hotel are filled with shops and people trying to sell products or services, which can feel a little overwhelming at first. It definitely took us a day or two to adjust to the energy of the area. That said, we actually felt extremely safe the entire time — honestly safer than we currently feel back home in Melbourne — and we were completely comfortable walking around the streets surrounding the hotel at night with our family. In saying that, you could book a trip here and never have to leave the hotel. A huge thank you to everyone at Hard Rock Hotel Kuta for making our Bali holiday so memorable. You created an experience our family will never forget.

very good hotel, the employes so kind and helpful

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Hard Rock Hotel with two kids. The rooms are clean and well air conditioned , beds comfortable with smart TVs and block out blinds, the pool is amazing with plenty for the kids to do and kids don’t want to leave the resort. Our daughter enjoyed the kids club, the hotel is well run and great food and drink options which are reasonably priced. All staff are very friendly and caring, special mention to Son at Splash Restaurant and Aria for the cool pillow art. We very much hope to be back.

We enjoyed our experience at hard rock bali. The staff are always inviting, helpful and friendly the whole place was always clean and well presented. This is our second time here and would reccomend to families indeed.
