Hard Rock Hotel Bali

We had a great stay at Hard Rock Hotel Bali, particularly because of how much our teenagers enjoyed it. The location is relatively close to the airport, and both check-in and check-out were smooth, with lovely and friendly staff throughout our stay. We also arranged a taxi through the hotel, which I would highly recommend—it was excellent and made our arrival and departure very easy. The surrounding area is a little run-down, although that is simply part of the reality of Bali and we didn’t explore the area too much. We did walk to Waterbom Bali, which took around 15 minutes and was a huge hit with the kids. Waterbom itself was fantastic—lots of great rides, good food, extremely clean and very well maintained, and surprisingly little waiting around once inside. One tip: go early. Even with pre-booked tickets, you still have to queue at the entrance and that queue can take quite a while. We also visited Gordon Ramsay’s restaurant, which is located just outside the main hotel but is essentially part of the resort experience. The food was delicious and we were very well looked after. Now, the hotel itself. I would definitely not describe Hard Rock Bali as a five-star hotel. In my opinion, the rooms and overall hotel standard are closer to an upper three-star level. Our room was fairly basic, although it was kept beautifully clean every day by Darmika, who deserves a special mention. He was such a lovely, smiling, attentive and professional gentleman, and we really appreciated the care he put into making our room so nice every day. Thank you so much, Darmika! You are the BEST. Where the hotel really shines is the staff and, especially, the pool area. The pool is fantastic for teenagers, with beach volleyball, water polo and plenty of other activities organised throughout the day. It can get VERY loud—especially with the Aussie crowd and a few drinks involved! 😂—so this is definitely not the place to come if you are looking for a peaceful, relaxing pool holiday. In fact, forget relaxing by the pool! You need to get up early and secure your sunbeds with your towels, and make sure you choose a spot with some shade because it gets extremely hot. If you want a cabana, book it at least two weeks in advance. Having spoken to other families with teenagers while we were there, it became clear that Hard Rock Bali is very well known as a destination for families with older kids and teenagers—and I can completely understand why. Our teenagers had an absolutely fantastic time and, honestly, that made up for the fact that the hotel itself didn’t feel like a five-star property. So, would I recommend it? **Yes, particularly for families with teenagers.** If you are looking for a luxurious, quiet, five-star resort where you can relax around the pool all day, this probably isn’t the place for you. But if you have teenagers who want activities, music, other teenagers around and a lively atmosphere, Hard Rock Bali is definitely worth considering. For our family, the experience was really about the kids having the time of their lives—and they certainly did!

We stayed as a family of 6 in 3 different rooms for 10 nights. Rooms are a good size and depending on which room you pay for, really good views. Breakfast had a lot of choice but does get really busy on peak periods which means you might have to wait a few minutes, pool area is the biggest plus point with loads of space, various options with cabanas or loungers. There are lots plenty of options for food/drink during the day but we never ate in on a nighttime preferring to go out and about. Big shout out to the staff, especially our room cleaners as they left towel animals etc daily which was a nice touch Overall on our 2nd visit here it was excellent and family enjoyed it

Perfect time here even though it was a short times May be juste one thing : too much noise at night time and early morning around our room

Had a wonderful time at the Hard Rock in Bali! It was perfect for our family holiday as it had so many activities and things for the kids and for us all. The staff were amazing - thank you to Novi, Regita, Rini, Dessy, Widya, Amanda and team for making our stay so amazing! Cannot wait to come back! Could not recommend highly enough!
