Maya Ubud Resort & Spa

The hotel is very complete. The location is excellent and the service is also outstanding, but without a doubt, what stands out the most are its gardens and the incredible views that can be enjoyed from different areas of the hotel. I know there are many luxury hotels in Ubud, but I sincerely believe this hotel is one of the best options in terms of value for money. It is a place that perfectly combines tranquility, beautiful surroundings, and excellent service. Highly recommended for any type of trip: as a couple, with family, with friends, or even if you are traveling solo.

Everything about this hotel is great. Organised a dining experience which is situated on a balcony overlooking the hotel grounds.. We were superbly looked after by Wira who couldn’t do enough to make the night special. They even had a reserve table inside just in case it rained. Also a special mention to Dedi who came out from the kitchen to explain the food. The hotel is very spacious and has a lower level more for adults with a second infinity pool, restraint and spa all set in a beautiful valley. Would definitely come back…..

Everything about the dining experience here was top tier! The breakfast spread had so many delicious options, all fresh and beautifully prepared. The restaurant staff were so friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed every morning. Dining with such a gorgeous view made it even better. Highly recommended!

The location is beautiful but there were a few things that kept me from loving this hotel: - As soon as I arrived before having even checked in or even seeing the room was being upsold BBQ dinners and massage upgrades (despite already having massages included with the room). - The breakfast food was good but they never had someone there when I walked in to show me to a table and when I finally ordered a coffee it would take half an hour time to come each time and I was finished with my food by then. - Likewise when I went for dinner at the restaurant one night for the advertised fire show when we walked in there was nobody there to show us to a table and we had to find someone. Food was good but service was very slow and I ended up giving up waiting for my last beer which I think they forgot. For some reason the fire show never actually took place either. Also was seated right next to a family with screaming kids running around. 🤷‍♂️ - A few little random things like housekeeping taking the towels but not replacing them, not replacing coffee pods etc. - The pool villa is pretty but we were placed in a villa directly looking into the yoga studio so not nearly as private as the pictures made it out to be. - One morning when using the shower it then started to leak from the outside roof randomly onto where my clothes were drying maybe they are in need of some renovations. The staff are lovely but I think they might be a bit understaffed or something.
