Maya Ubud Resort & Spa

We had an amazing stay at Maya Ubud Resort & Spa. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful stay. Everyone was incredibly caring, attentive, and dedicated to making every moment special. A very special thank you to Gus, our butler, who was always listening to our needs and took great care to ensure our villa was perfectly prepared and fully met our expectations. Thank you as well to Dewi and the entire restaurant and bar team for their kindness and professionalism. The food was refined and absolutely delicious, and the cocktails were perfectly crafted. We also truly appreciated the staff who refreshed and prepared our villa several times a day, as well as the gardening team who maintain the stunning tropical surroundings. Their work makes this hotel feel truly unique and magical. The entire property is perfectly designed for relaxation, surrounded by a lush and peaceful natural environment that immediately makes you unwind. The villas are spacious, comfortable, and beautifully integrated into the landscape, offering both privacy and serenity. A special highlight of our stay was the spa experience, truly exceptional. We enjoyed one of the best massages we’ve ever had, thanks to the incredible therapists Duita and Indra, who were both highly skilled and attentive. Overall, this was a wonderful and unforgettable experience. We will definitely come back to Bali and to this hotel for sure, and we will gladly recommend it to our French friends! Cédric

Great stay in beautiful resort near Ubud center. Resort very clean with 2 beautiful swimming pools. All people very friendly. The villa’s are large and well decorated. To make the stay complete and relaxing the butler service was so great. The butler’s Mana, Arya and Darmen were very helpfull, friendly and very fast in responding. When you need a buggy they were very fast to pick you up and bring you somewhere in the large resort. Terimah Kasih to make it special for me and my daughter

The hotel is lovely and quiet, super peaceful and small enough to be personal but also big enough to have some anonymity. We had a pool villa and loved it, the only critique I would make is the need for some more pool towels to be in the room (or at least have some more drying space for them). We found that if we swam in the morning, we’d need to lug our wet towels up to the pool and then get a fresh set again before swimming in our villa. Breakfast was awesome, the buffet was extensive and made to order hot food and coffee is always appreciated. The staff were always happy to switch the overhead fans on at request to make the heat more bearable (all of the dining venues are outdoors so have no aircon). The hotel shuttle to town is a great help, and we used it a few times. The drop off/pickup point is still quite far from the main areas, and we did have a few questionable people come up to us on scooters attempting to ‘sell’ us some wares when we were waiting for the shuttle to come back. It’s easy to organise everything using the butlers (special mention to Gus, Ricky and Yoga!). Having them on Whatsapp to ask any questions or to arrange anything was super handy. Yoga did an amazing job doing a surprise birthday set up and cake for my daughter, arranging to get this done when we were out at lunch. They also organised an external driver for us when we wanted to go out for a few hours. The floating breakfast was AMAZING! The food was beautifully presented, and we enjoyed the experience (even after the avo toast fell in the pool!!). All of the dining outlets are good, with attentive service and accommodating staff. I had a wonderful treatment at the spa, Ariana was lovely and I found myself nodding off a few times with the relaxing treatment plus river below sending me to sleep! The hotel is listed as accessible, but there are a LOT of stairs. Even to get in to our villa, there is a set of stairs. To get anywhere, you need to walk up or down stairs – even with the lift to the spa/adults pool there is still a lot of stairs to get through. Perhaps the hotel rooms are a bit easier, but the eating outlets/pool/spa etc all have stairs. The hotel also allows outside drivers inside, I sent laundry away a few times and noticed a lot of Grab and Gojek drivers/deliveries each time. This is handy as there are no shops within walking distance to the hotel. We enjoyed the jungle setting and animals it came with (monkeys, squirrels, birds, lizards and even a snake in the tree next to us at breakfast!). The hotel provides cream mosquito repellent and room spray, we still got bitten a lot so would suggest plug-in machines be provided in the rooms. The rice paddy and river walk are pretty, but a bit of a non-event I would not be in a hurry to recommend (especially when it is super hot and humid). Overall, a wonderful and a memorable time for sure. We can’t wait to be back!

We loved this hotel. Food is excellent - we had breakfast, afternoon tea, cocktails&snacks as well as dinner and tried almost everything! (A special thank you to lovely Parka, Dyanita and Krisna.) The beds are very comfortable and everything is super clean. The 2 pools (plus 1 kiddy pool) are excellent, towel service on point, and the view is priceless. Don't forget to visit the spa for a massage (or two). Thank you also to butlers Arya, Mana and Darmen, who helped book a table for dinner as well as room cleaning services. They made coordinating everything very easy for us. 🫶 We 100% recommend Maya Ubud and would love to come again.
