Maya Ubud Resort & Spa

We had such a wonderful stay celebrating our anniversary. From the moment we arrived, the stunning grounds and incredible views created a truly relaxing atmosphere. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a villa, which made the experience even more special—it was peaceful, beautifully presented, and the perfect place to unwind. The entire property was spotless, with all facilities clean and very well maintained. There was also a great range of dining options on-site, and we really enjoyed sampling the cocktails throughout our stay. A special mention to Desi at the Tree Bar, who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome—nothing was too much trouble, and their service really stood out. Overall, it was a memorable and relaxing experience, and we wouldn’t hesitate to return.

We stayed 6 nights and every day was amazing. The food, service and facilities are brilliant. All the staff from reception to gardeners were friendly and respectful. It was probably the best hotel we have stayed in.

Oh Maya, we love you! We had a pool villa and loved the gorgeous forest view and the occasional monkey families playing in the trees outside our little perfect villa. We didn’t use the pool and next time we would happily stay in the main building. The adult pool is in the most tranquil forest setting - it is heaven. All our dinners were superb, we loved the live music and dancing each night. Such attentive kind and happy staff and helpful butler service via Whats App. The shuttle when tired is great around the expansive grounds. One distinct advantage is that it feels so remote in the forest with a river and nature walks. But it is also very close to the main Ubud strip which is an advantage over some similar luxury hotels if you want to go to other restaurants, have a cheaper massage or go to the markets. Mosquitos weren’t an issue but we wore repellant always. We loved Ubud and I am obsessed with the tranquility and gentleness of Maya. Thank you for the reset! We will be back!
