Mercure Bali Sanur Resort

Old run down and very very tired. Grounds are lovely, team are very friendly and nice but the place is well worn. Room although clean has every surface scratched and marked and sure it has never been refurbished in its life. Don't waste your time trying to get into your room before 3 pm, your wasting your time.

The room was really tired and run down. Weird kitchen area in the bathroom, make a nice cup of coffee while doing a poo! Shower drain blocked and my young son managed to flood the whole room while taking a shower. It's unbelievable that this is a 4* hotel. We came from the Marriot Element in Ubud which was spectacular. I would class the room as something you would expect to find in a high end backpackers. It's fine, but not for the price. On the plus side, the communal areas are kept very clean and tidy and the breakfast options were good. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Very nice place front and direct to the beach. Nice breakfast front the beach. A lot of rooms in a big garden. All the rooms need a small renovation but very nice.

Stayed at the Mercure Sanur for 5 nights in the first half of July 2026. We were a family of 4, with 3 other families also staying at the same time. The location is great, so too is the main pool. Some of other families faced problems, being dirty room, leg falling off bed, tv not working, or room being in very noisy spot. Our room fortunately didn't encounter these issues. For some unknown reason, the Mercure make it difficult to get the Wifi password... you need to ring reception, who knows why they dont just provide the password in the room? On the first night we had a drink at the Mercure bar on the beach called the Breeze, it wasn't a particularly busy night, but it took 45 minutes to get our drinks - it took an age for them to make the cocktails. I was excited to stay at the Mercure in part due to the tennis court, but found out on arrival that the court is booked every day at prime hours for non guests for coaching - it is only available for guests 10 am to 3 pm in the heat of the day. This was very disappointing. My wife also requested a face cloth, and despite reception ensuring they would provide one, they didnt - until she forced the issue days later. The buffet breakfast was ok just... but definitely inferior to other buffet breakfasts we've had in Bali. The hotel is getting a bit tired! The resort food that we ordered for lunch on the odd occasion was pretty good.
