I loved everything about this hotel and I'm a repeat customer. It's a wonderful hotel where all the staff are always smiling. The food, pool, and rooms are all superb. This time, I was especially impressed by Diah's hospitality. I was troubled by the humidity in my room, but they dealt with it immediately. I love Ruby's performance of traditional instruments. The performers are very kind to children. This time, too, I paid for a professional photographer and got some wonderful photos. I'm very satisfied.

We stayed at the hotel from 21st to 24th April 2026 Hotel is part of tribute portfolio of Marriott bonvoy, picturesque location, small stream passing by, countless trees and lovely art on the walls everywhere, food has variety and great taste, however if they hire an Indian chef the hotel will just be an outstanding in the region. My stay at Sthala was my introduction to Marriott’s Tribute Portfolio. After exploring properties globally, it was meaningful to experience one here in Asia, especially alongside another Tribute property in Miami, where I live. Based on these experiences, I’ve come to appreciate that each property in this portfolio stands on its own—highlighting local character with a distinctive sense of grandeur, paired with an elevated bed-and-breakfast charm. What stood out most during my stay was how thoughtfully the experience was rooted in local culture. From staff dressed in traditional fabrics to the presence of local art throughout the property, every detail felt intentional. Nestled on a hillside, the infinity pool seemingly floats above the forest—serene and visually striking. I was also welcomed with a refreshing butterfly pea tea upon arrival—an elegant touch that immediately set the tone for the culturally immersive experience. The staff were exemplary in their hospitality. Service felt truly luxurious throughout my stay. I was consistently addressed formally by name, greeted with a gentle bow, and met with genuine attentiveness to my needs. One of my favorite moments was an evening with the resident guitarist, who invited me to request songs—and even welcomed me to sing, with staff cheering me on. As a well-traveled, middle-aged Black woman on a solo itinerary, that sense of warmth, camaraderie, and support—along with assistance navigating a few logistics—was deeply appreciated. This property over-delivered on service. Their responsiveness rivaled that of a five-star concierge experience. Our stay at Sthala was more than what we could have ever imagined. The service was exceptional, we felt so well pampered. Ever since day 1, the Sthala staff went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed. For example, as someone who has many dietary allergies, the staff did everything that they could to take care of me. Everyone knew our names from the start, and we felt so welcome.
