Hotel LIVVO Valle Taurito

Just back from a 1 week stay and we had a lovely time - I think a lot of the other reviews are harsh. Check in was quick and room ready upon arrival at lunch time. Yes one of the lifts is currently out of order but we managed to get in the other one quickly and make it up to our 6th floor room. Room was spacious and clean - no issues whatsoever. We were very happy with the food - plenty of choice at every meal - they really have thought of everything and very flavoursome. Kids enjoyed pizzas and multiple varieties of pasta. Not that many staff but no issues and they were all polite and welcoming. Enjoyed pool - quite busy as it is peak summer but not an issue. Always got a sunbed at the back part by the small baby pool which suited us just fine. People are putting towels out before 7am at the main pool - nothing new to anywhere else! Snack bar had burgers/hot dogs on alternative. And fruit etc. All good for us and kids can get small pots of ice cream. Water park water was salty but did not bother us - again always managed a sun bed and kids enjoyed. Beach just a short walk away. Entertainment was fine - enjoyed the circus type performers and Grease show. Difficult to get a seat sometimes as a shared area with other Livvo's and the benches are a little hard on your back side, but we coped! Did not leave the resort all week - we were here for relaxing mainly and we didn't get bored. Transfer on the way there was only 30 mins as everyone on coach was going to this hotel. On way back to airport 90mins plus as multiple pick ups so it could be as much as that on the way. Enjoyed this resort Overall good vfm and a brilliant holiday!

I’ll start with the positives… The staff are genuinely lovely and helpful, speak very good English and go out of their way to help in any ways. The location of the hotel is also good, lots of shops, some restaurants on the beach if you fancy going out and the beach is quiet. The pool also isn’t busy even when the hotel is full and we always got a sun bed. Now the less positives: The lift, singular, the second lift has been broken since before we arrived which meant the entire hotel is using a single lift which is the slowest lift ever. You can be waiting 5 minutes for it to arrive from 4 floors away. The room is nice, nothing amazing but the bathroom is sub standard, felt more like a 2 star bathroom. Our shower screen leaked and flooded the bathroom every shower, I reported it and it wasn’t resolved but you can see from the pictures it’s been happening a while and nothing is being done about it. The wall need tarting up. Now my biggest issue is the title of all inclusive. The three main meals are included correct but outside of that, no children’s drinks available except water or fizzy drinks, the children’s basic ice creams are behind the bar and the snacks are the same every day with no fruit. Ironically there are more signs about the hotel being cashless than there are choices of drinks included on the all-inclusive. We come to all inclusive so the kids don’t need us to get them everything but this holiday we have to get them everything. To summarise, I wouldn’t come back and I think 4* hotel rating is generous as the place feels dated and the all inclusive is probably the worst we’ve stayed at.

We've been staying at the Valle Taurito hotel for 9nights. Lovely hotel, clean , friendly staff with it being true to pictures. Food was really good and although not a huge selection plenty to choose from daily with different theme dishes . Pool is lovely no hassle with sun loungers unless you wanted right by pool. Pool is lovely would say it could be bigger with more room to swim when busy with lots families but definitely didn't put me off hotel . We kept busy with lots choice entertainment in evenings . The hotel is spilt into two halves Valle and Livvo with entertainment in middle . Amusements with bowling alley, trampolines, go karts to keep kids entertained all reasonable prices. My children also tried VR lounge and crazy golf again reasonable price. Pool tables and ping pong is in hotel as well One morning I treated myself to spa next to hotel. I had a lovely back massage followed by use of spa facilities afterwards. Good selection of shops around the Valle and beach with shops & bars too . We also got the local bus into Puerto Rico one day very cheap to use and friendly driver so easy to locate and use . Overall loved the hotel perfect for our holiday aims this year and I definitely recommend it .

What is really sad about this hotel is it could be absolutely amazing if the hotel group pulled things together… Super quick arrival, lovely friendly welcome and some packed food as we arrived late (sandwich, biscuits and a water / not the best) Room (319) very good, nice deco, big bathroom, double (twin) bed and a sofa bed (double) for kids. Would be made better if there was a partitioning for kids rather than one big room. Restaurant We never had an issue here, always something to eat, freshly cooked meats (help yourself off the joint) and themes but did get very monotonous towards the end of the 10 days!! Always some sort of Pork dish Always kept clean and staff work really hard here Pool area and Poolside Bar Really needs a good clean and some TLC. Bed policy not upheld, reserved from 06:30am. Pool poo’d in twice and closed for two days Only ever one staff member on bar, queues regularly, area not kept clean and bins often overflowing. Snacks are shocking, not kept fresh so avoided these for the whole holiday. Drinks are very syrupy. One good point if you dont drink alcohol is they have 0% available on All Inclusive Entertainment and Venue Well this is piss poor too. They try their best but short staffed, what is advertised does t always happen. The show venue is dangerous with lose/broken floor boards, not enough tables for the number of people on resort and mimed shows…. Golf, run down, water switched off and looks like an abandoned part of the complex… dont pay €5 each if a 4 - you can share clubs Spa Again needs alot of TLC but is good value at €15 for 2 hours Waterpark Again very run down, needs a good clean and some TLC. Two slides not working when we arrived, one not fixed at all by time we left. BE AWARE this is completely salt water venue. Bit of pool (tiles) missing and water not filtered and bits floating in it Overall resort Just needs a good clean. Can’t really walk anywhere and remote. Good bus links to neighbouring towns and very cheap. On resort shops are not to expensive, a few good bars on the beach showing live sport and serving good food if you want a change Conclusion We always make the best of our holidays, kids enjoyed but this is defo not a resort we would choose to come back too

The rooms are spacious and clean, the staff are friendly, and the hotel facilities and water park are a solid 10/10. However, there were 2 major downsides that unfortunately spoiled our holiday: First, the buffet. Before booking, I had read several reviews about the poor quality of the food, and unfortunately I have to agree. Honestly, I would recommend booking accommodation only rather than the all-inclusive package. This is not the staff's fault at all, you can clearly see they do their best with the ingredients they are given. During the day, the all-inclusive snack options are also very limited: just 2 types of salad, burgers, and hot dogs. Not ideal if you cannot eat meat or pork as it is mixed meats (pork, veal). Fortunately, the restaurants near the hotel are excellent and very reasonably priced. The second issue is that the hotel is huge (6 floors) but only has 2 elevators. During our 1-week stay, they broke down several times, which made getting around quite inconvenient. On the positive side, the entertainment team is fantastic, especially for children.
