Hotel LIVVO Valle Taurito

went as a family of 7, 5 adults & 1 child & 1 infant, we had 3 rooms, all inclusive for 7 nights. we booked double rooms but all rooms were single beds. Hotel is very dated, rooms basic - cleaning very poor minimal done. day passes are given to the locals - I am no prude but don't think its appropriate at a family hotel to women to be in the swimming pool topless pool area- while we was there towels where left on sun loungers for 4 days before they was removed. life guard spent most of his time on his phone or chatting with work man. flooring around the pool was dirty & grimy - never cleaned in the 7 days we was there. water park was very basic and salt water, paid £13 per adult & £8 per child for all inclusive - not worth it food/drinks again very poor, if someone paid for the food they got better quality. Food & drink- the all inclusive drinks limited & watered down, cocktails pre made and did not seem to have any alcohol in them. pool snacks were very poor & basic hamburgers & hotdogs with stale bread, cakes very dry. buffet restaurant caters for other nationalities & not British & very repetitive - food not served hot even when brought out fresh ( choice very limited ), guests at sister hotel which is 3 star had better food options than Livvo Valle Taurito. entertainment - is off the hotel ground held at sister hotel but very poor

We spent 8 unforgettable and relaxing days. We were originally supposed to stay at a different hotel, but easyJet changed it, and we are absolutely grateful to them for that. I neither accept nor understand the negative comments about the hotel. While there is certainly room for improvement regarding the food, entertainment, and the room like ...tea and coffee facilities, soundproofing ,But the service, location, and value for money are excellent overall. I would definitely recommend it, and we will be back.

I think the hotel its great, and some of the review before are a bit too much. However, not too sure why its 4* hotel, where there is no T&C facilities or free toiletries? But there is a fridge - which is bonus if you want to keep drinks cold or milk for your child. Amazing food, everything fresh. Pizza made fresh every day, fresh salads and fruit. A lots of choices of different meat etc. Didn't really use hotel pool as there was never free sunbeds, but the water park across the road it's great, clean, safe and plenty to do. Rooms was refreshed everyday, staff very nice everywhere. Bring your own beach towels, as there are not provided by the hotel. The all inclusive is at the pool bar and also a the Plaza arena while entertainment is on, which it's great. Lots of shops, mini market, pharmacy as well. We didn't use the Spa, just shower on last day after check out. So the food is included still after you check out even tho the welcome letter says different. I would highly recommend this hotel and the area, it's nice and quiet there is you looking for relaxing holiday. There is also shops were you can buy trips. We did dolphins, jet sky and buggies. Amazing experience!

Summary - Livvo Valle Taurito. The reviews aren’t too far off with this one. We went as a family of 5, 2 adults 3 children age 21, 11,11. So we have 2 rooms. All inclusive for 7 nights in August. Location is quite isolated. Although there is decent public transport. Hotel is fine. But dated but clean and staff were good. Food is very much average at best. Limited and no accounting for dietary requirements or restrictions. Hotel - The hotel was nice enough. Not sure 4 star is quite accurate though. I would put it more a 3 at best. It was clean, spacious and the staff were nice. Entertainment- poor! Very poor. The entertainment started at 8:30 in the evening. Even for the children. Food and Drink - The all inclusive alcoholic drinks were very limited! And the cocktails didn’t even seem to have an alcohol in them. Kids drinks / soft drinks were decent though. Snacks - poor! There was a rotation of hot dogs or burgers which were pretty awful. There was salad bits and fruit. And on occasion so dry cake. It also seemed like they were serving the children cocktails which was slightly worrying. All inclusive food - probably my biggest issue (apart from the location) One of my children is a very difficult eater. And I am a vegetarian. Whilst that is out of the control of the hotel, I thought the food options would be better. The choice was very limited to say the least. And the quality was poor. My daughter only ate rice and bread for her lunch and dinner (she is an problematic eater and that’s not the hotels fault but it was very difficult to have her eat anything) we had to top up at the local supermarket so she did eat something. I found the non meat options pretty awful. I ate predominantly salad and veg. Which was fine but certainly not the 4 star all inclusive level I would have expected. Good luck to anyone who has more significant dietary restrictions or allergies. Pool - the pool area is nice, quite deep but clean and tidy. But the towel situation was terrible. People were leaving their towels out the night before. Which meant that all the beds around the pool were taken before we even went down for breakfast. Madness. The lifeguard was very disengaged. Not really sure what the point of them were. Rooms - 1 family room and 1 sole occupancy double room Family room - It was clean, and big enough. Had a nice view of the sea. Our 11 year old twins are boy + girl. So the bed situation wasn’t great. There was 2 single beds pushed together to make a double for the adults. But it was a double sofa bed for the children. This wasn’t great for us. The children really didn’t want to share a bed but staff were unable to provide an alternative. Room 2 - sole occupancy double was fine enough. Next door which was convenient for us as a family. However, one evening, there was someone who decided to bang on the 21 year old daughter room (where she was alone) frightening her. As a single woman it really wasn’t very good. Thankfully it was a one off and we didn’t bring it to the staffs attention. Water park - this was a saving grace. As it’s included it was very helpful. Clean enough. Not massively busy, even during peak season. The water is really deep in parts though. The food and drink there isn’t included in the all inclusive but they were more than happy to leave the towels on the chairs and go get food from the hotel and return once eaten. You can’t take food or drink over to the water park front the hotel. But you can take food and drink in like a picnic or something. Location - My biggest issue. The hotel and others are located in what I can only describe as a canyon. The entertainment plaza and water park on the middle of multiple hotels. There is access to a beach but the beach is filthy and the waves as quite high so not suitable to you get chosen. We don’t spend a great deal of time on the beach. However, would recommend watching the sun set there as it’s beautiful. I assumed, wrongly, that because there was direct beach access there would be places to walk from the hotel but there wasn’t. You are completed stuck (unless you taxi or public transport) This, for us, wasn’t good. We like an evening walk along a beach or promenade but we couldn’t as there wasn’t no where to go. All in all, I wouldn’t go back to this location. For a number of reasons. Having left to go to Mogan and Purto Rico on excursions, I would choose to stay in Purto Rico or Amadores (I think that’s the spelling) as they seem to have a bit more life and facilities for families.

Overall we had a nice holiday here but some things need a little attention. Positives...Lovely location. Staff are friendly, hotel itself is very clean, rooms are clean (you can choose on arrival which days, we choose daily) and spacious. Food is ok, always found something to eat. Plenty of shops nearby. Beach and other restaurants only a short walk. Bus to Peurto Rico only takes 10 mins. Negatives...Snack bar food isn't great. Some parts of the hotel could do with updating. Only 1 lift working most of the time we were there so this took forever. All those in our group that went to the water park only went once, they said the salt water was horrible. No inflatables allowed in the pool. Top tips - 1, don't put your door card near your phone! 2, get over to the evening entertainment early not enough benches. Don't be put off by the 1 star reviews. I was worried after reading them but we had a nice holiday here :)
