We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel. Everything from the facilities and the overall look of the resort to the food quality was absolutely perfect. The aesthetic of the hotel is beautiful, and the quality of service is top-notch. A huge plus for us was the lovely little playground right next to the restaurant. It allowed us to enjoy our meals peacefully while keeping an eye on our children. However, there is one major downside that prevents me from giving a full 5-star review: the "sunlounger hogs." Guests start reserving sunbeds with towels early in the morning and then disappear for hours. Unfortunately, there is little to no monitoring from the hotel staff regarding this issue. It is incredibly frustrating to find a sea of empty beds covered in towels with nowhere to sit.If management starts enforcing a strict "no-reservation" policy, this hotel would be an absolute 10 out of 10. For now, it is a well-deserved 4 stars.

Second visit to the Victoria after our first one in 2023. We loved it then and still do. Having tried a number of similar priced “5 star hotels “ around Europe , this one blows them out of the water . It’s important to realise “ each to their own” and some peoples paradise is someone else’s nightmare , but it gives us exactly what we want . We get 1 holiday a year and after last years disastrous trip to Turkey for the same price point we needed to get it right . For us , we want to avoid sunbed wars . Whilst immediately around the family pool , they are mostly taken by 10:30 , there are still plenty available in other places throughout the day . Cleanliness … the rooms are properly cleaned every day , absolutely everything is done as if just checking in . They leave the place spotless. Same goes for around the communal areas of the pool too . We were half board and the breakfast is amazing . You can have literally whatever you want . There are tens of every type of pastry, 10 different types of eggs, cooked meats , 8 different types of milk , 5 types of honey , a whole selection of breads , umpteen different type of sausages (inc English ) . Chicken breast , different types of potatoes ( inc chips 🥴) . Beautiful fruit , smoothies , smoked salmon …….. it is that incredible . If you get there before 9-9.15 it is also quite calm Evening meals , similar on the choice . Meats / fish , cooked to order , Italian section where there are freshly made sourdough pizzas , and any pasta dish that you want them to make . The desserts look amazing but not really to my taste , due to the bizarre ingredients that I would never put together , but that is my taste and there is still the option of fruit and ice cream …. Not to Mention the pic n mix sweets from the kids section . No fighting for tables The most amazing adults only roof top pool The gym is abs amazing Aircon works perfectly Plenty of storage Whilst it is a big space , on 250 rooms , so it all seems very peaceful ( even in August ) Location perfect The only criticism of the entire hotel ( which isn’t actually their fault ). Is the behaviour of some of the guests in the restaurant. We saw some interesting manners . I know the hotel want to show a relaxed feel , I really wish they would police things better . The food is so obviously carefully prepared and presented by the staff and I have no doubt that the highest food hygiene standards are adhered to however it is all pretty pointless of you are allowing guests ( mainly small children, although I did catch a few older guests ) to compromise food hygiene . Unsupervised kids , with their fingers , hair , arms etc poking around in the food on display . Kids literally jumping into the ice cream as not able to reach, kids licking their fingers then dipping them into the chocolate fountain . Staff not saying anything . Personally I wouldn’t allow my children to be unsupervised at that age at the buffet , but clearly a lot of people don’t think like that . I hope the hotel acts to maybe have a minimum age where children can be unsupervised 🤷♀️. It would just take a small outbreak of food poisoning to significantly affect hotel and the guests . There is a little problem with kids running around , banging into waiters and other people . Again , whilst the hotel shouldn’t have to , I think this could be policed better . The staff are all lovely and it genuinely gives off a feel that they all get on really well ( maybe not the case , but that’s what it looks like ) Not a criticism just a bit of a request … the hotel is less than 10 years old , we love how clean and modern it is , a bit of ageing is starting to creep in , ( loose. Cracked tiles , loose handles , slight rusting on beds… no big deal but please keep on top of this , it’s beautiful and really hope it stays like this …. We will be back ❤️

Our third time staying at the GF Victoria. We had such great holidays on our previous two visits that it’s now become a very safe choice for us! The hotel is a 20–25 minute transfer from the southern airport. Its surrounding location is really nice. Directly out the front is a shopping centre with high-end brands. It’s a classy part of town, and several beaches are a short walk away. Check-in was very smooth. A welcome drink is provided on arrival, and your bags are taken from the taxi to your room. The hotel is impressive in its scale. As it goes up the hill, the hotel’s lowest level changes, with the building stepping up the incline. Reception is on level 0, the family pool is on level 2, and the splash park, right at the top, is on level 5. The grounds continue to be immaculate and well maintained. One of the charms that keeps bringing us back is that the hotel never feels busy, almost quiet at times, which makes it lovely and relaxing. That continued to be the case. The room was great. Two single beds for the kids and a king made up of two single beds pushed together for the adults. Big bathrooms with two showers and two toilets. Like everything here, it was clean and well maintained. The AC worked well, and we very rarely heard any noise from other guests. Housekeeping was excellent, with the room attended to daily. Very comfortable. The hotel has a web app they encourage you to use for booking activities, checking the itinerary for the day, etc. We found it useful. The Wi-Fi works well in the rooms but doesn’t have great coverage around the pools. We chose to stay bed and breakfast for the second time, having previously done half-board on our first visit. The buffet restaurant in the evening is nice, but we prefer to get out and explore a little more. There are plenty of decent restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. The hotel’s buffet restaurant is great. Never crowded. Never any queues. Plenty of tables available. Usually, a buffet can feel a bit like a cattle market. Again, one of the reasons we keep returning is that this just isn’t the case here. It’s chilled and relaxed. Breakfast was excellent, with a superb choice of everything you’d want. Plenty of juice is freely available, and a hot drink order is taken on arrival. There are several pools to choose from. The main ones are the family pool and the quieter general pool next to it. For those without children, there are also a couple more to relax at, but we didn’t use them during our stay. At any time of day, at any pool, you’ll be able to get a sun lounger. However, it was a little disappointing to see that reserving the better loungers has started to creep in. One of the big draws for us previously was seeing staff remove towels from loungers when people hadn’t been there for a while. This time, I didn’t see that happen. The kids were allowed to use sensible-sized floats, with most having rings. Towels can be exchanged as frequently as you need. Waiters take food and drink orders around the pool. It never feels too busy and everything is very clean and well maintained. The Splash Park is great for younger children, with a decent toddler area and three good-sized slides for bigger kids. Our 10-year-old loved them. Next to the splash park is the surf pool, which you can book a slot on for €10 for around 10 minutes. Great fun and worth the extra. Since our last visit, they’ve given the gym a big upgrade, which was much needed and great to see. There are plenty of other sporting activities to do as well. Tennis, padel, ping pong, and a MUGA with football and basketball. You can usually just jump on anything straight away. The poolside entertainment during the day is quieter than at other resorts. There are opportunities to do some brief exercise, such as aqua aerobics, but it’s not a mass takeover. It fits with the overall vibe of being a more relaxed pool area with plenty of space rather than an over-the-top party atmosphere. The evening entertainment takes place on a stage outside. There’s plenty of seating and table service for drinks. It’s nice to sit outside in the evening rather than in a hot room. The acts were all fine, and we recognised a few from last year. It’s nice to have something to do each evening. The staff, without exception, are friendly and polite. A fantastic break which lived up to every expectation we had following our previous visits.
