Couples Swept Away

absolutely beautiful beach and resort. So welcoming and the BEST fitness facilities and staff. Loved the couples massage at the spa. Godwin, our server at Feathers and OShane at Patios added to the joy of our stay!

Just got back from Couples Swept Away and I cannot wait to go back. It made me feel line I was 28 again. I made a ton of friends, everyone is so nice, piano bar karaoke every night, beach is amazing. Food was great, romantic, island feel. Absolutely nothing to worry about. Tennis courts, massages, free water sports. I learned how to wind surf. Catamaran Cruise was excellent as well, really fun and breathtaking water scenery, we got to swim in these really cool caves and slide off side of the boat. So we met a bunch of ppl who have tried all different resorts around Caribbean and they all said that was the best one, they just go there now. Also the best friend i made on trip stayed at an upscale non all inclusive place and said he regretted it. Shout out to Z and Ultimate Chocolate at Piano Bar karaoke!

Honestly.. I wanted to love this place so much because I read such good reviews, but I'm not "swept away". I'm used to going to Cuba, but with everything happening over there lately we decided to try Jamaica. I was suggested this resort by my travel agent and reviews looked promising. The first day, room service didn't come at all (no big deal). But then I realized how LOUD it is there.. I couldn't even sleep because of how much noise is happening at all hours of the night. Frogs croaking, weird lizard noises, people talking, construction sounds, traffic.. the list goes on. At least my husband was smart enough to bring ear plugs - I did not. I guess it's my fault for booking the atrium suite? The food is decent, however when ordering breakfast room service you're asked to fill out a card and hang it on your door (same process to have the mini bar filled). Well, I filled out both cards the night before as requested. When our breakfast came the next morning half of it was missing and the mini bar never got restocked. Then the thing that really aggravated me was how hard it is to find a covered spot on the beach. Cuba has endless covered huts so you don't have to scour the beach for some shade. Here, there's maybe only 10 huts in total and some areas where they provide you with an umbrella if you're lucky. Well, one morning I got up (what I thought was early enough) and headed to the beach at 7:30 AM. All the huts were taken... so I found one that just had 2 towels hanging on the chairs and no other belongings like a purse, sandals, hat, etc.. so I assumed the towels were just left there from the night before and it was free for the taking. After sitting there for an hour I had one of the workers come up to me and tell me someone was sitting there. I said we'll that's funny because I've been here for an hour and no one has come up to me to tell me that? He told me they left their towels there and went for "a run" down the beach. Ok, cool? So they can just "claim" a spot by leaving a couple of towels and go about their merry way until they feel like coming back?? So after a bit of back and forth I told the guy I would just move but he insisted I stay. So now after an awkward altercation it's fine for me to sit here anyways. Ridiculous. If they aren't going to have enough huts they need to have a strict policy where you can't just "reserve" a hut with a couple towels and then go about your business. I paid over $5,000 for my husband and I to celebrate our honeymoon there. Not at all impressed and from what I was expecting from Jamaica.. disappointed. Thank God the scenery and water was beautiful because that was the only thing that made me happy.

Another wonderful holiday at CSA with my husband, daughter and her boyfriend. This was my 3 rd visit and there were some very positive changes from previous visits. We especially enjoyed the coffee shop by the lobby. The staff were friendly and attentive, the coffee delicious and it was so nice to have the addition of gluten free cakes. The sports team were very welcoming and Narson was always around with a big smile. We very much enjoyed the tennis coaching and my daughter enjoyed the pickleball coaching. The beach was beautiful, though there was still beach- bed hogging despite letters left in everyone’s room. I was especially annoyed by an American lady who had reserved 3 seats for herself and her husband and despite me having nowhere to sit, refused to let me have the 3rd chair. The food was good, especially in the specialty restaurants, though the buffet was disappointing for me ( gluten free). Labelling was very inconsistent with maybe only one dish being labelled as gluten free. The music in Palms in the evening was appallingly loud- absolutely impossible to have any dinner conversation or hear what the server was saying. I remembered this from previous visits. It actually made the evening unpleasant. My poor husband is deaf so found it incredibly difficult. Unfortunately, as relatively late eaters, it was impossible to avoid the deafening music and being zapped by my watch warning me of the too loud environment! The breakfast music was delightful- just the right volume for eating. My other small gripe was with the reception staff ( Collington in particular).Our door swipe stopped working and we were locked out of our room for 18 hours. Reception was really quite abrupt and accused us of doing something wrong ( we hadn’t! ). Thankfully we were on the ground floor and could leave the patio door open ( not ideal) as it took 3 visits to reception to get the maintenance crew. I must add that the lady on reception was lovely. A special thank you to the chambermaids who did an excellent job of looking after our room. So, overall, we had a wonderful trip. It wasn’t perfect, but it was very good. We are very much looking forward to our return visit in September.

An excellent resort with exemplary staff who could not do more to make our experience the best ever. Thoroughly recommend.
