Sunset at the Palms Resort Spa

I will start by saying that I have traveled to most of the desired locations in the Caribbean ( all 5 star) and am here at Sunset at the palms now and am already looking to rebook for next year! The food in the alacart restaurants was like fine dining back home in Canada...the buffet while smaller has the best jerk chicken/pork, curried meat varieties, fresh fruit and salads, pastries, pasta and coffee and juices were all fresh and amazing....staff go above and beyond and are all smiling, singing and happy to serve! The treehouse accommodations are like your own villa and allow for complete privacy as you are surrounded by lush vegetation and melodic tree frogs and birds...Everything is steps away including pool, coffee bar ( amazing blue mountain coffee) lobby, restaurants, bars and gift shop...despite beach being across a road i found it to be closer than many resorts ive stayed at and guard s are there to help stop traffic for crossing every time! The beach here is probably the nicest beach on the island and has a layed back atmosphere with less congestion as the other popular 7 mile beach and there was no need for towel game as there was always a chair at all times and raising your red flag to get t drinks or food delivered was an amazing surprise The grounds are spotless as well as the rooms and bathrooms. If you enjoy fishing, see September ( his name) on the beach - his boat is called The Sea Rasta - fishing with him was like fishing with an old friend and he knew exactly where to go to make our outing fun and his instructions made it easy to catch a variety of fish and he will clean for you to take to hotel to cook. Not a cost effective place to visit but great if you can get a deal like we did booking through the resort which included mobay ( airport lounge and customs fast track) and transportation to and from airport. I would highly recommend Sunset at the Palms and Negril and fealt safe the entire journey both on and off property..we will be back! Thank you

Beautiful and quiet location with private beach access across the street. Laid back atmosphere. Private treehouse style rooms. Great food and drinks. Room and resort kept very well. We especially enjoyed the friendly service from the dining staff Christopher, Kashin, Shawn, Jason, and all others.

We booked our trip here because of all the fantastic reviews, and we were absolutely not disappointed. The resort is clean, the food is fantastic, and the staff are wonderful! We really loved the rooms and the beautiful lush jungle atmosphere, and of course the beach was absolutely stunning. We can't wait until we can plan another trip back here!

Sunset At The Palms will surely make you smile… from the minute you wake up in the morning and gaze out at the captivating surroundings until you return to your own private treehouse at night. You feel like you have found paradise! Happy is contagious here! You can’t help but smile back at the staff. Margaret was the first greeter on our return visit. She and Kenisha make the best omelets! Tishuana is a most memorable waitress, so likeable and a great photographer and educator (teaching about Sorrel Juice, a holiday drink)! Our dinner waiter, Ted, gets top prize for friendly and efficient! Kevon and Jovaine are the friendliest faces at the beach, greeting vacationers by name (making us feel like family) and keeping the beach beautiful! The beachside cook, Jadine, kept us happy with Jamaican nachos, jerk chicken, various burgers, salads, and outstanding onion rings! Kenny and Denver were highly impressive at the Chef Showcase with multiple entrees of snapper (with coconut topping), beef (with a savory sauce), and a superb chicken cordon bleu! All dinner options at the Lotus Leaf restaurant were exceptional! Favorite theme nights at the buffet were Italian (with made-to-order pasta) and seafood (Kirk Spence gets five stars for his grilled snapper and assorted toppings)! Every dinner was a winner, as were the servers (Jason, Kashin, Carleen, Andrika, Lorion, and so many others)! It would be hard to find an employee who was not wearing a smile! Another highlight of the vacation was a mixology class hosted by Gerald and Nadine. Favorite drinks were the Hummingbird and Nadine Special. Also noteworthy that Odine made the best Jamaican Sunrise drink at the beach bar! Last but not least, our housekeeper, Sherica, left room 106 immaculate every day! This was our second time staying at Sunset. My wife and I love to travel in the Caribbean and want to see all the islands and could not help but come back to Sunset. Our of any place we have gone, this is the best bang for your buck. The rooms are nice, buffet has some amazingly good food, pool is clean and fun, and the beach is beautiful. This is definitely more of a relaxed place to stay and there is not a big party scene, which is great for us. The biggest thing that brings us back is the amazing staff. They go above and beyond and I cannot say enough good things about them all. It does not matter if it is a bartender, front desk, maintenance, etc. They are all happy to see you and so nice.
