Sunset at the Palms Resort Spa

We're on our last day today, sat in the bar in an apocalyptic thunderstorm, so I thought I'd use the time to write a review. The previous 10 days, the weather was stunning!! We've thoroughly enjoyed our 11 nights at the Sunset on the Palms resort in Negril. We've found the experience both relaxing and enjoyable. As mentioned by many others, the staff make a holiday. They're all great and seem to enjoy what they're doing. There are lots of high fives and fist pumps and my wife absolutely loves being referred to as the Lady Boss. The treehouse style rooms are lovely and the gardens are amazing set in over 1000 palm trees. They are a bit rustic, but are large enough and all have a good balcony, a huge comfortable bed and a decent shower. The food is good, with enough choice. There could be more but it's only a relatively small resort!! The beach is the best bit. You have to cross the road, but when you get to it, it's a real wow moment. Fantastic white powder sand with lots of thatched Cabana's with plenty of shade. The hotels down the beach don't have the same shade which for some, might he a big problem. I for one don't like too much direct sun!! My wife and I have absolutely loved our stay. Thank you.

I could not say anything more about the staff being great could not do enough for you. The beach was great. Didn’t bother me going across the street. The only downfall is the food. There’s really no food there what food they had was good but no selection absolutely. no desserts. I only have pizza once a week. they need more of a selection very very limited. Great atmosphere even on the other side with the beach after three or four days of eating the same thing over and over again we eventually had to go out and get something to eat but other than that the place is absolutely gorgeous.

Hello Sunset at the Palms, what an amazing vacation this was, it started with being greeted at the airport with the Club Mo Bay, transfer to our hotel, went off without a hitch, greeted by Jamie who escorted us to our assigned rooms and went over some things with us, if there was only one negative thing it would be about the lack of storage (No Drawers), in the room, other than that it is a beautiful resort, variety of food, we did the Chefs Table twice and it was amazing, also The Lotus restaurant was great as well, crossing over to the beach with crossing guards was no problem and at the beach was amazing, Wow that ocean!! we went in every day, we did experience some rain just about every afternoon, did not stop us from enjoying ourselves though, Now what really sets this resort apart are the people, so warm and genuine as they come, I wish I could have gotten more names, here are some that I do have deserve a shout out Christine with her warm smile and fun personality, she came to us on our last night and serenaded for us What a Gem! Kashin too a real sweetheart, this is what makes this Resort so special, So do not hesitate booking this resort if you like a low key atmosphere, but genuine hospitality you will find it here

This was our third visit to SATP and we went not knowing what to expect following the recent catastrophic hurricane. There were certainly signs of damage to plant life and palms, fewer birds and definitely some supply issues regarding food offerings but we felt privileged to be there and offer our support to the wonderful staff who had performed miracles to get the hotel up and running. Our main reason for loving SATP is the unique combination of a small hotel with rustic treehouse style accommodation set in peaceful tropical surroundings and across the road a stunning vibrant beach scene with musicians and beach sellers accompanied by an often very loud reggae beat from the neighbouring bar. Food was very good although perhaps not quite the choice we have enjoyed in the past, the Chefs Showcase and meals in the Lotus Leaf were highlights followed by chocolate martinis whilst listening and singing along with the wonderful Paul in the piano bar. As always the staff were exceptional, both friendly and hard working and are a credit to the hotel. Service was excellent across all areas and credit must be given to the chefs working with supply issues and the gardeners who were working tirelessly and successfully in restoring and repairing the beautiful gardens. My only issue was the people who felt entitled to smoke on their balconies which on a number of occasions spoilt our evening drinks on our balcony and even worse was waking up to the smell of smoke in our room as most of the rooms have shutters and screens only. We look forward to returning again in the future and very much hope the hotel retains its unique personality.

From the moment we arrived we were treated like extended family! This was our second visit and we were delighted and surprised to be addressed by name like we had been here only a few hours ago and not a year since our last visit! We had asked for a room near to the centre of the resort due to my wife’s mobility issues and were given room 303! We were delighted with our room and the banner welcoming us back as repeat guests! As well as the returners special dinners which were fantastic! We enjoyed Lotus Leaf and Chefs showcase, the breakfast buffets, beach bar food and drinks and especially the pool bar! We loved the coffee bar visiting every morning! We met loads of new guests friends and staff friend and had a fantastic relaxing time !
