Sunset at the Palms Resort Spa

This was my 3rd visit to Sunset at the Palms. I have to honestly say, I was not as impressed as my last 2 visits. Customer service was amazing, but there was something a little off. The food at the beach was awful. My husband and I spent a lot of time at the beach restaurant next door. Lynette at the gift shop and Mikesha were great! Still a great place and I will continue to return home❤️

I just wrapped up an absolutely amazing 8-night stay. I fell in love with everything about this resort, and am already trying to figure out dates for next year. The property and grounds are gorgeous, and beautifully maintained. My treehouse was perfect. I loved it, from the decor, down to the small touches, like towel animals. My porch day bed became a cool place to rest during afternoon showers. I was worried about the food, because I'm a picky eater and not adventurous. I found the food to be fantastic! My fave is Lotus Leaf, and the awesome all-inclusive fresco breakfasts in the courtyard each morning. As a solo traveler, I always felt safe, too. I would be remiss if I didn't give a couple of "shout outs" to some of the staff: Nadine the bartender (rotates between Martini bar/ pool bar/ beach bar) is an absolute gem. She is the kindest person, and we had great conversations. I honestly miss her! Kevon who greets you at the beach, and helps you set up your palapa, towels, and table is fantastic. Always smiling and helpful. Very friendly guy. It's great to start the beach day with such a great, attentive guy! And... of course, Paul on the piano in the Martini Bar. He's so entertaining, and we shared some fun conversations. I can't think of anything I would change. I can't wait to return!

2 weeks of heaven at Sunset at the palms. The standout thing about this resort is the staff every single one of them were outstanding. The concierge team were fantastic and could not do enough. Rooms are lovely and clean and maintained daily. Its a chilled relaxed vibe here, Entertainment is limited but Paul the piano man was a breath of fresh air. Britney was wonderful on the bar, Jason and beautiful Tameika serving us daily were a ray of sunshine. We didn't want to leave.. Food great and beach lovely too.

Negril - amazing beach you can never tire of. So beautiful. The resort is very tropical, and peaceful. The bird wildlife is fabulous to see, every morning sitting with a coffee was wonderful watching the Humming Birds. The guys on the beach look after you so well, making sure you’re comfortable and have everything for a good day, They have such a good vibe! The food was really good, we don’t like buffet usually, but there was lots of choice and it was good. We made our own entertainment one night with friends we met from Quebec, thank goodness for them, we were going a bit stir crazy. We knew it wasn’t a party resort that’s why we chose it, but it was definitely lacking in any form of entertainment apart from Karaoke. We know lots of people go there to escape which we completely get, but just a little bit too quiet for us. Still a beautiful resort.

My husband and I just got back from a week's stay at Sunset at the Palms. We had a two story treehouse that was perfect! So beautiful and quiet. We've been to a bunch of all inclusives in the Carribean so we had a lot to compare it to. When we arrived no one greeted us. We ambled over to the concierge desk and said we are checking in. Then they provided us with a drink and towel. Normally people greet you as you get off the car ride to the hotel. The drive to the hotel was long--- but we knew that going into the trip. It made for a full day of travel from Philly. The food was good but a bit repetitive...but it was good overall. The most disappointing thing for us was the fact that you have to cross a street to get to the beach. I knew this going into the trip but I didnt realize it was such a busy road. Then the beach itself is covered in trees, so if you like to sun bathe you may be disappointed. The water was gorgeous--- clear blue and no seaweed. Service at the bar on the beach was not good. They give you a red flag if you want a drink. I tried it once and they took my order but never brought me the drink! They were not busy by any means. The bartender at the beach was a bit gruff and that was awkward. The beach property itself is quiet, but there is loud music coming from the restaurant next door and from the boats. I didnt mind this because i liked the music but my husband likes to listen to the sounds of the ocean instead. The in room refridgerator is only stocked with water, red stripe and soda. No crackers or peanuts. After the beach we were wishing we had something to eat since dinner isnt until 630, but that's just us. We enjoyed the piano bar some evenings-- that was a nice touch. The Lotus was our favorite restaurant. So, overall it was a good trip...we spent a lot of time in the ocean which is why we went. But some of the amenities that other resorts have this one was missing a bit.
