Sunset at the Palms Resort Spa

Sunset at the palms is a tropical oasis nestled between huge chain hotels. It has less than 85 units in total which are little raised bungalows. We had a two story unit that accommodated 4 adults with two full bathrooms and great air conditioning . The staff was super friendly and accommodating and the food and drink were excellent. The buffet meals at this all inclusive were great, but we highly recommend going to the sit down dining experiences of Lotus Leaf restaurant and the chef’s Showcase. These are for those looking for a more upscale dining experience. They are included at. I extra charge you just need to make reservations. We did all this before we left home. The pool and beach were also nice and we never fought to get chairs. The dining staff and bartenders were nice and always ready to suggest something new. Super relaxing family vacation with wife and two 20 something daughters. The only downsides of the trip were the gym didn’t seem to be air conditioned and we had to leave after our week there :). Highly recommend to visit if you can

My husband and I stayed at Sunset at the Palms in late June to celebrate my birthday, and it was exactly what we needed. The resort has such a peaceful, quiet, and relaxing atmosphere that made it easy to truly unwind and reconnect. The staff was exceptional. Everyone we encountered was warm, friendly, and genuinely committed to making our stay memorable. Their hospitality really stood out and made us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived. The food was really good, with plenty of variety and fresh flavors throughout our stay. If you’re looking for a beautiful adults only resort where you can escape the crowds, relax, and enjoy outstanding service, Sunset at the Palms is a wonderful choice. We left refreshed and recharged!

We had an extremely pleasant experience at Sunset at the Palms. We really loved the elegant, cozy, and very private treehouse rooms and the incredibly beautiful and lush garden in which the accommodations are set. To get to the beach, you have to cross the road, but it’s not a big deal since it’s a very short walk anyway, and help is provided to cross safely. The beach is also spacious and nice, although the view is slightly spoiled by a large and invasive resort on the left side of the bay. But it’s still very pleasant with crystal-clear light blue water and great services provided by the resort. The food wasn’t exceptional by our standards, but this applies to all the places we’ve been (we wouldn’t recommend Jamaica as a culinary destination...) and in any case, we always found something we liked. From all the several places that we've explored in the Negril area, we believe that Sunset at the Palms is the best resort for a special, romantic, and relaxing vacation, and we would choose it again if we ever decide to return to Jamaica.

I had a Great stay at the Sunset! The Tree House Rooms are the Best! Surrounded by lush gardens that are well maintained daily. The overall Staff is outstanding ! The small Boutique setting allows for the dining experience and the preparation of the food to have the real Jamaican flavors to be experienced. From the curried dishes, stewed, and Jerk seasoning dishes the food was quite delicious! As in many of the Carribian Islands I’m seeing more cats on the resort premises. I understand their purpose. Unfortunately I’m not a “cat lover” so it was a little annoying for me to enjoy some meals in the dining area while the Guest are feeding the cats while they’re also eating dining. I know the cats purpose and if Guest are feeding them…Anyways , I can’t wait until my next visit!

We initially were blown away with how beautiful this location was, but several following factors made us regret booking this hotel. We suffered a power cut, fair enough that happens, but over 12 hours was too much, no A/C, limited services, having to negotiate moving around the resort in the dark was just dangerous, the staff did what they could and shared their feelings on this with us, no management to be found. What was disappointing was there was no back up generator and no customer assistance. With an existing medical condition, we did struggle. The mini bar consists of 2 cans of red stripe and a few soft drinks. The walk to the beach (which was stunning) left us retching with the smell of the open waste site and watching huge rats scurrying about. Pool bar food was extremely limited and if u wanted lobster you had to go next door to the office of nature to buy for around $50 each. But they came from the same beach???? We let reception know we had some gastric issues and they just shrugged their shoulders at us, we had to purchase Imodium at the gift shop for $20 a pack, clearly profiteering from guests misfortune. At least 9 other guests also had this. But we are home, on antibiotics with a diagnosis of salmonella. The authorities here are dealing with this, Public Health England and Environmental Health.
