Diani Sea Lodge

Rooms: REALLY POOR CONDITION. The curtain rods kept falling. Water temperature is never constant in the bathrooms, it turns cold and extremely warm anytime; there is a typical odor in the rooms. Food: BIG NO-NO FOR VEGETARIAN FAMILIES. This lodge only caters to Eastern Europe visitors. The chef was kind enough to prepare special meal for us but preferably look for a place that caters vegetarian food. Amenities: NO BOTTLED WATER. Check before booking. Every single day you have to fill a form to get stuff refilled for mini bar. Animation staff is great.

I was extremely disappointed with my stay at Diani Sea Lodge and would not recommend it to anyone expecting a quality all-inclusive experience. The buffet selection was very limited and seemed to be the same every day, with little variety throughout our stay. To make matters worse, there were flies everywhere around the buffet area, which was both unpleasant and concerning from a hygiene perspective. The service was also frustratingly slow, especially when ordering drinks. It often took far too long to receive even the simplest beverage. The snack bar food was of very poor quality and nowhere near the standard I would expect from a resort. The “all-inclusive” package is also misleading, as food and drinks are only available during restricted hours rather than throughout the day and night. The room itself was very basic and lacked the comfort and amenities I expected. The water pressure was weak, and maintaining a consistent water temperature was almost impossible, making showers unpleasant. Another major disappointment was the checkout process. Checkout is set at an unusually early 10:00 AM. We asked if we could extend our stay until 12:00 PM and were even willing to pay for the extra time, but our request was refused without any flexibility or attempt to accommodate us. As someone who is accustomed to high standards of hospitality as a VIP Radisson member, a Gold member with Marriott, and a Silver member with Accor, I have stayed in many hotels around the world. Unfortunately, this was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I have had. I would never come back and cannot recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing, high-quality holiday experience.

If you are looking for a place to relax for a short period then this works. I did not like my room as it was right at the back looking back onto where the workers were and i always felt paranoid when in shower as if not closed you could see through. The room was decent cleaniless and the bed comfortable. I was not a fan of all the creep crawlies than can come into the room from the gap under the door but was able to block this with a towel. Not a place I would return to but for the price and value you get what you pay for and it's not exactly 5*. Staff are friendly

Me and my friend were staying at Diani Sea Lodge for a relaxing girls trip and the hotel was everthing we hoped for! It was so beautiful! Nice rooms, close to the sea, a nice pool, good food. The staff was also really friendly and were very welcoming and helpful. Especially the animation team, which stood for activities were really nice and made a difference for our trip. Especially Ida, Britney and Sebastian made our vacation even better. We Can only recommend this place and we would definitly come back another time!

We had a wonderful stay at Diani Sea Lodge. Every single staff member is so sweet and helpful at all times. The whole hotel area is always kept super clean and tidy and is a beautiful place to relax at, plus the beach at Diani Sea Lodge is the very best. An additional great experience was getting to see all kinds of monkeys that kind of co-live with you in the hotel ;). Special thanks goes to the Animation-Team, especially my favorite Ida, who always kept us entertained with aqua fitness and more. Also wanted to thank the kitchen staff, the kind and welcoming cook Esha and also Yusuf, Paul and Ali who were also very nice. We also thank all of the waiters, especially Omar for being a very attentive waiter. Definitely recommend and hoping to come back one day!
