Diani Sea Resort

Pros- Room was clean, staff was friendly. Great location, beach in front is nice. AC in the room. Bed was very comfortable. Cons- The AC can only be turned on while you are in the room therefore it is always hot when you first enter and takes a while to cool down. No fans in the rooms for are flow. The restaurant is open-air with minimal fans that are not on high. So it's extremely hot where you eat breakfast, lunch and dinner. There's also a ton of flies in this area, all over the food and while you are trying to eat. Pretty gross. The food is meh. I barely ate any food there. The food is better at the pool bar (which is where we ate for lunch everyday). The beer on tap isn't very cold either. Tap is the only option that's included in the package.

We’ve just returned from two weeks at this resort. Overall, we enjoyed our family holiday, but there are several areas where the hotel could improve. We arrived at 5:30 a.m. after an 18-hour journey, and the night receptionist/porter didn’t seem to be expecting us. It took about 15 minutes for him to acknowledge our booking. After such a long trip, a warm welcome and a smile would have made a big difference. We were given access to our rooms at 10:30 a.m., which we appreciate as check-in is at 3 p.m., but it would be great if the hotel offered a temporary room for early arrivals to freshen up. Our rooms (202 & 111) were fine. Room 202 had a partial sea view and a large shower, while the air conditioning worked better in Room 111. Bathroom amenities could be refreshed during the stay, but the shower was excellent with hot water every day. Restaurant: This area needs attention. There were too many flies around the food stations, and not enough fans in the dining area, making it uncomfortable at times. The food was okay, but salads didn’t change throughout our stay, and adding mayonnaise would have helped. Desserts were limited—unless you grabbed one early, you’d miss the feature dessert. Small cakes improved over time but tasted synthetic. Cream, custard, or ice cream (only twice in two weeks) would have made a big difference. On the positive side, the staff were lovely, helpful, and very friendly. Dinner was also moved outside a few times and down to the pool area, this was so much nicer than sitting in the extremely hot dining area. Pool Bar: This could be amazing! By the second week, staff were more welcoming, but at times you could wait 10 minutes at the bar without being served. Food quality varied—sometimes hot and fresh in 15 minutes, other times a lukewarm pizza after 30 minutes. Ice creams would be a great addition. Afternoon tea at 4 p.m. was perfect—fresh pancakes, sandwiches, and cakes. Drinks on the AI package are basic, and the cocktail list could be improved (e.g., Pina Colada, Daiquiri, Negroni, Aperol Spritz). Pool Area: Lovely, but no breeze. The pool was fine, and the animation team worked hard to involve guests in activities. Plenty of sunbeds, though the hotel wasn’t full. For beach-view beds, you need to be up by 6 a.m., and by 7 a.m. for the grass area. Animation Team: Very friendly, and evening shows seemed popular (we didn’t attend as we preferred the cooler pool bar). Mini golf was okay but needs daily cleaning and some repairs. Overall, we had a good holiday and didn’t feel the need to complain during our stay, but we wouldn’t rush back.

Ambient environment. Food not to standard. Good rooms, bed but no accessories ( toothpaste, combs in room). Inclusive package but the most basic local drinks charged separately. If you are a drinker carry extra cash despite the inclusive package. Good for limited time not a long stay

The location is good, but the hotel falls short in a few areas. Basic amenities such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, and combs are not provided, so it’s important to carry your own. The restaurant also needs improvement — there were many flies around the serving area, and the food was average. Please also note that not all drinks are included in the (All inclusive) package. Overall, it was an average experience, so it may be worth exploring more options depending on your preferences.
