Diani Sea Resort

This was our 3rd visit to Diani sea resort and once again we left with happy memories after receiving excellent service from the ever smiling staff, we've made friends with several of the staff from past visits and left with more after our 12 nights this time. Everyone from security, gardeners, food and beverage waiters and the animation team never failed to greet us with a smile and "Jambo". Special mentions to Godwill from the animation team for making morning water aerobics such fun and Millie for her giggling happy personality. In food and beverage special mentions to Nzai, Maureen, Lydia, Amani and Sabrina for their hospitality and hard working Selena who never seemed to go home. These are just a few of the lovely staff who all deserve praise and are a credit to the Hotel, I never had to go to the bar myself for drinks once throughout our stay such was the good service. The food at DSR includes an extensive tasty breakfast buffet with eggs, sausages and bacon cooked freshly and a variety of fresh fruits and cereals. We ate lunch at the poolside snack bar that offered toasted sandwiches, Kenyan curry and pizza while for dinner which was sometimes served outside there was a good selection to choose from including a pasta station and different meats cooked freshly. Evening entertainment included acrobats, a circus act, traditional dancers, a live band and Karaoke usually all ending with some party dances. There was a small issue with room allocation at reception on our arrival but didn't detract from a wonderful stay, many thanks to everyone.

Best experience and customer service

Our stay at Diani Sea Resort was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. The resort itself is beautiful, with stunning ocean views, well-maintained gardens, and a relaxing atmosphere! The animation team was fantastic! They brought so much energy and fun to the resort with their daily activities! They were engaging, friendly, and made sure everyone felt included! A special mention goes to Rashid Swaleh, one of the waiters, who was exceptionally kind, attentive, and professional throughout our stay. His warm smile, friendly nature, and genuine care for guests really stood out. He went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and well taken care of, and his positive attitude made every meal even more enjoyable!

Great hotel and atmosphere. Our waiter, Rashid Swaleh, was the best! Highly recommend, and we would definitely come back.

Pros- Room was clean, staff was friendly. Great location, beach in front is nice. AC in the room. Bed was very comfortable. Cons- The AC can only be turned on while you are in the room therefore it is always hot when you first enter and takes a while to cool down. No fans in the rooms for are flow. The restaurant is open-air with minimal fans that are not on high. So it's extremely hot where you eat breakfast, lunch and dinner. There's also a ton of flies in this area, all over the food and while you are trying to eat. Pretty gross. The food is meh. I barely ate any food there. The food is better at the pool bar (which is where we ate for lunch everyday). The beer on tap isn't very cold either. Tap is the only option that's included in the package.
