Serena Beach Resort & Spa

We visited Serena Beach Resort in August 2026 to celebrate our son's 1st birthday. First off, I would highly recommend calling the hotel directly to book your stay. I personally found that the rates with direct booking were cheaper as compared to using an agent/ booking via the online booking platforms. Special thanks to Priscilla for making the booking process seamless. The location is very convenient. The hotel environment is very serene, calm and welcoming. We arrived quite late on our first day, at around 10:30PM, and the hotel was very kind as to keep the restaurant open till we had our dinner ( This was way past their normal dinner times). The rooms were very clean and they remained very well maintained throughout our stay. The option of half board accommodation is also great. The meals were awesome and there was always a great variety of well prepped meals. I really loved the fact that the hotel has a complementary offer of free well prepared meals for infants. The highlight of our stay was the well thought out birthday surprise for our son. The restaurant staff prepared a nice cake and sang for him. That was amazing and truly memorable. We loved the kids club and Zawadi did a phenomenal job in keeping the younger ones well entertained during our stay. Overall it was an amazing experience. I would definitely recommend Serena Beach hotel for family vacays. Looking forward to visiting the hotel again in future.

A Beautiful location inside the hotel grounds and Very friendly staff. The room and bed were spot on and much needed air conditioning was ideal. A reasonable size pool with swim up bar and entertainment on some evenings in the upstairs bar. Overall very pleased and would recommend staying here

Located in a relatively quiet street, very easy to find. Great atmosphere. Way better than in many hotels I have visited in Europe, but falls just short of the value for money of hotels with similar star ratings in Asia. Cosy rooms. The hotel is old but they have done a good job in renovation/maintenance. Value for money: rather on the high side compared to, for example, Leopards Beach Resort and Spa in the South Coast that offers a lot more by way of entertainment and activities. Despite this, the staff do an excellent job.

The food was fulfilling but the icing on the cake (pun intended) was the celebration team when they brought the cake for the birthday girl..
