The Maji Beach Boutique Hotel

I spent 3 nights/4 days at The Maji during a solo trip to Diani in June, and it was exactly the relaxing escape I was looking for. The hotel has an incredibly chill, peaceful vibe that really helped me unplug and unwind. What truly made the experience special was the staff. Everyone was warm, attentive, and genuinely caring throughout my stay. A special thank you to Zipporah (Manager), Risper (Guest Relations), Nusra, Eresmus, Caroline, Violet, and the entire cleaning crew for making me feel so welcome and well taken care of. The location is fantastic, right on an amazing stretch of beach, and the food was consistently excellent. Whether relaxing by the ocean, enjoying meals, or simply soaking in the atmosphere, everything about the experience felt thoughtful and effortless. Highly recommend The Maji for anyone looking for a peaceful and memorable stay in Diani — especially solo travelers looking to recharge.

My friends and I stayed here on the recommendation of a friend. The property is beachfront boutique hotel, with amazing views of the Diani beach. The service and food were excellent, and the attention to detail was incredible. The staff are warm and friendly and always very ready to help, and took the time to know everyone staying with us during our four day trip. The staff also organised a complementary birthday cake for one of my friends when they learnt it was a trip to celebrate her, and also wrote her a lovely card. All in all, I would highly recommend The Maji for a boutique experience on the warm Diani beach

A fab boutique hotel with attention to detail and service that is hard to beat. It starts with your arrival. Evelyn and front office have everything ready and give you an o er ire how things work. Rooms fantastic. Cleaned twice and turn down service On a beautiful part of the beach, can swim during high tide just outside. Service is where they are unique. Lots of little detail, the service (thank you Erasmus and Zippy in particular), no buffets around here, the chef willing to accommodate different diets if the menu is not enough. I had an issue with my phone and front office staff (sorry I forgot your name) lent me her personal wireless charger. Fab fab fab, hoping to come back soon.

If you’re looking for the perfect boutique hotel on the Kenyan coast, look no further than The Maji — an absolute gem that delivers on every promise. We were blown away from the moment we arrived. Our ocean view was simply jaw-dropping and falling asleep to the sound of the Indian Ocean waves was an experience in itself. The food was delicious and there was such a variety. Special shout out to Simon, our server, who was an absolute star. He made me tea every morning with different spices he thought I would like. Truly the best!
