Kuredu Island Resort & Spa

5 stars – A fantastic holiday and genuinely lovely people We’ve just returned from Kuredu and honestly had a fantastic time. The beach, snorkelling, activities, food, service and spa were all excellent – the food in particular was probably the best we’ve ever had at a resort. We had All Inclusive Plus and would strongly recommend it. Without it, we think the extras could become very expensive quite quickly. The island is clearly making an effort to be sustainable, which we fully supported. The desalinated water was fine, but we moved across to mocktails and soft drinks in the end as it wasnt as nice as home. Probably more noticeable to us as two non-drinkers who drink a lot of water! The thing that stood out most was the staff. Everyone seemed genuinely happy to be there. They remembered who you were, greeted you and couldn’t have been more helpful. We particularly noticed the respect between the staff and management. Jorge, the manager, fist bumped staff and ate in the main areas on one occasion, which gave the impression of a really positive working environment. We also think the unsung heroes deserve a special mention – the people constantly sweeping leaves, maintaining the paths and keeping everything looking beautiful in the heat. Our cleaner was always out with his cart and still had a smile on his face. Our villa in O Beach was very comfortable and had everything you could want, including a coffee machine, soundbar and TV, plus a lovely outdoor bath, jacuzzi and shower. We really liked the adults-only O Beach area. We found the main area busier and preferred the O Beach bar and restaurant, particularly the decking as the other restaurants had sand floors - a lovely touch, especially as the island really is 'barefoot'. I gave up with any type of shoes after a few days! The food was outstanding. Fresh food every day, loads of choice, several salads, bread and sides, always fish or meat, and an amazing selection of freshly made desserts, sorbets and fruit. There were also good gluten-free options. The island itself is beautiful and very well maintained. We walked or ran every day and loved exploring the beaches, paths and gardens. The buggy service was great, but we actually found it easy enough to walk everywhere, so wouldn’t necessarily bother with one. We also had two massages at the spa. They weren’t cheap, but they were very good. The therapists actually listened to what we wanted and concentrated on the areas we asked them to, rather than just following a routine. A few special mentions: Priti, who was a lovely server, Maruti the chef, and Akash in the Sangu Bar, who were all fantastic. We don’t drink alcohol and Akash happily adapted cocktails to suit us. He was a genuinely lovely young man. We also had a photoshoot and got a fantastic photo from it, although we felt there was an opportunity to make much more of the incredible scenery and beauty of the island and perhaps would have bought some had there been more options available. Overall, we’d absolutely return (and already planning it!). Kuredu is a perfect island for families, friends and honeymooners alike. The combination of the island, food, activities, entertainment, size and, above all, the people made it one of the best holidays we have ever had.

This was our second visit to Kuredu and it is nothing short of exceptional, the staff the food the rooms are all out of this world. It’s not an ultra modern hotel it’s has Maldivian character but the feeling you get when stepping off the sea plane is like no other a sense of peace and tranquility. The staff are unbelievable so friendly so attentive and make your stay so memorable. We went all inclusive and had a great selection of drinks however it was also handy as if you wanted premium drinks you got 50% discount which helped the bill at the end of our stay. Please do the dining experiences. This time we done Teppenyaaki - 10/10 for food and the experience Beach BBQ - food exceptional with lovely entertainment and the perfect setting Full Moon Dinner - this was a memory we will never forget watching the most perfect sunset - eating a 7 course meal under that stars and watching the night change for the most incredible full moon - I doubt we will ever be able to top that view/setting This time we stayed in a beach villa as the hotel was at capacity and couldn’t get the room we originally wanted however the room itself was so much nicer we just prefer to be on the other side of the island with having a child with us it’s easier to nip back to the room. We preciously stayed in a jaquzzi beach villa which is in the perfect location on the island (for us). Ignore the rainy season it rained twice on our visit and both times overnight so didn’t impact us whatsoever so for the difference in price I would 100% recommend August. This place just gives you a feeling of peace tranquility and being able to completely switch off for the duration of your holiday - we can not wait to go back already!

This was our 2nd visit and it will definitely not be our last. This visit was just as good as last year, we were made to feel so welcome again. I am awaiting a hip replacement so walking was an issue they went above and beyond to arrange buggies to pick me up and take me to any part of the island I wanted to go. We stayed in a Premium Beach bungalow as we were given a upgrade by our agent from a beach bungalow but the only difference is the Premium bungalows have a tv. The bungalows are very well equipped having tea, coffee etc, mini bar, water as long as your on all inclusive. Beach towels are provided and you have your own sunbeaches outside your bungalow. We asked for milk and cartons were delivered and placed in our fridge, we celebrated our 40th Wedding Anniversary whilst here and they decorated our room and left a few surprises. All staff here are a credit as they can't do enough for you, I am unable to name all of them but I will list a few, Manu, Jennie, buggies drivers who are friends from last year and it was lovely to meet Sandy another buggy driver, all 3 of them making sure I was able to get on the buggy safely, Machindra our waiter in Bondti resturant who was always so welcoming, Supanna resturant lady who greated you always smiling and welcoming, Kumar who was one of my husbands favourite omelette chef having his omelette ready even before he had gone up, Seemi the chef in restaurant too who was always friendly, Krishma resturant supervisor who went above and beyond even coming and finding us in other resturants to check we were ok, Akila Sous Chef in beach resturant who came out to check everything was ok with our meal, Nima on the pool bar was very chatty, Ajith our housekeeper thank you for keeping our room spotless and all of the towel art. So many staff I just can't name all of them. Just another thank you to our waitress from last year Rasma who was serving in another resturant this year but went out of her way to spend time with us whilst on this holiday. An absolute amazing holiday again and see you all again soon.

We had an incredible holiday from start to finish. The island is absolutely beautiful with lots to see and do. The dolphin spotting sunset cruise and snorkelling with the turtles were highlights. Our room (Sangu jacuzzi villa) was extremely comfortable and well equipped. The staff weee so kind and friendly. We are already looking to book a return.
