VARU by Atmosphere

Over the years we have visited several resorts in the Maldives - this is top of the list. Our beach villa with small pool was beautifully situated only metres from the beach and within easy walking distance of all resort facilities. The villa was equipped to a very high standard including complimentary mini-bar, and was serviced twice a day. The all inclusive 'Varu' plan is great - no wrist bands here or cheap alcoholic substitutes, quality drinks only are served. The staff (too many to mention) are a main feature - very friendly, take time to learn who you are and have time to interact. Many nationalities were staying here so people watching was highly entertaining, especially at cocktail and dinner time. We booked a Beach villa with pool as, from experience, the overwater villas look great but only have views over the ocean and can involve a long walk to the main facilities, but golf buggies are available. If we could make one suggestion - a blue tooth speaker in the villa would be nice.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at VARU by Atmosphere. The resort itself is beautiful, the surroundings are breathtaking and the whole experience was truly special. But what made our stay unforgettable was, without a doubt, the people. From the gardening and beach-cleaning teams to housekeeping and every member of staff we met, everyone worked incredibly hard to keep the resort beautiful and spotless for all the guests. We truly appreciate their work, even if we didn’t manage to learn everyone’s names. We would especially like to mention Mamum and Janaka, who looked after our two rooms. They were both fantastic. Mamun was incredibly attentive and surprised us every day with beautiful decorations and drawings on the bed. Janaka was amazing with all the little details and was there to help us immediately when we had a problem with the safe, making sure someone came to assist us straight away. From our conversations with him, it was clear that he is genuinely a wonderful person. Dewi and her colleague at Elena Spa (I’m so sorry I didn’t get her name) gave us an incredible massage. They were both so kind, caring and attentive. We left feeling completely renewed! Fauzen at Kaagé was wonderful. He took the time to explain the dishes to us and, even though our English isn’t fluent, he made sure we understood the ingredients and what we were eating. You could really see that he genuinely enjoyed helping and sharing his knowledge with us. Ziyan was another person who really stood out to us. He was always cheerful, friendly and ready to help whenever we needed something. Such a lovely person. And Chhaya at Bay Rouge so nice and lovely! She was incredibly kind, professional and attentive. On our first day, she took the time to explain how everything at the bar worked and made us feel so welcome. She continued to treat us so wonderfully throughout the rest of our stay, always with the same warmth, kindness and professionalism. She was genuinely lovely, and I’m sure she is a wonderful person. I was honestly sad that I couldn’t say goodbye to her on our last day because she was off that day. 😢 Chef Edi at Lime & Chili was always smiling, friendly and attentive. Every morning, he made us feel welcome from the very beginning of the day. Hasara, at both Nü and Bay Rouge, provided exceptional service, professional, helpful and attentive. Hamant and Lalo were also always so friendly and attentive with us. We also have to mention the wonderful musician couple. They were incredibly talented, so much fun and added such a special atmosphere to our evenings. They really helped make our nights even more memorable. A special mention also goes to the entire Bay Rouge team. Unfortunately, we didn’t manage to learn everyone’s names, but every single person we interacted with was exceptional. Professional, friendly and genuinely welcoming. The snorkelling excursion team were also fantastic. Everything was explained perfectly, we felt safe and well looked after, and we absolutely loved those experiences. The sunset fishing trip with them was another unforgettable memory. And finally, Mazey — whose name I’m pretty sure I never managed to pronounce correctly! 😅 He was exceptional throughout our stay. He arranged every activity we asked for, was always incredibly helpful and replied so quickly to every question we had. He made everything so easy for us and was simply amazing. People often say that beautiful places create beautiful memories, and VARU certainly has one of the most beautiful settings we have ever experienced. But for us, this trip was so much more than the beautiful beaches, the turquoise water and the sunsets. Places can be beautiful, but it is the people who make them truly special. I say this because, for me personally, even the most incredible place in the world wouldn’t make me want to return if the service wasn’t good. At VARU, it was the complete opposite. The kindness, professionalism and genuine warmth of the staff made us feel truly cared for, and they are the reason we left already knowing that we want to come back. To every member of the VARU team we had the pleasure of meeting: thank you. You made our honeymoon even more special, and we sincerely hope your hard work and dedication are recognised, because you are truly incredible. ❤️ VARU will always have a very special place in our hearts. 🌴💙

We used it for our honeymoon from Japan. Every experience was fresh, enjoyable, and happy. The scenery was beautiful, the food was delicious, and the experiences included in the plan were very enjoyable and fulfilling. Above all, the staff's hospitality is wonderful. Everyone was kind and attentive, so even we, who don’t speak much English, could relax and enjoy ourselves without worry. Especially sandeep,you are the best staff member. You greeted us with a smile, made us delicious drinks, and always looked out for us. Thanks to him, the trip became even more enjoyable. Thank you very much. It was the greatest and happiest experience of my life. I promised to come again with my husband. Wishing happiness to all the staff. Thank you very much for the wonderful time.

very nice Ville to take honeymoom

We've been coming to this island for three years in a row, and every time our vacation is unforgettable! The family villa with a pool is the best choice for our family: grandma, mom, dad, and a 5-year-old boy. The villa has two separate bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, which is very convenient. The beautiful beach with sunset views and a wonderful lagoon for swimming in the sea. The private pool allows for a complete relaxation with a child. I'd especially like to note that the hotel staff is very friendly and strives to fulfill all your wishes. Every year we are happy to see our friends again: Butler Firey, waiter Moaz, who knows how to approach any child. When my son injured his leg while playing tennis, he received immediate medical attention completely free of charge. We really enjoyed the food in the main restaurant, Lime and Chili, thank you chef! You can always try Maldivian, Indian, Chinese, and European dishes. The selection is nice and everything is very fresh. We also liked all the à la carte restaurants. I definitely recommend it for families with children.
