Amazing place, delicious food, deserts were out of the world so perfect and delicious, lovely staff. We have spent amazing time in a lovely hotel with most friendly staff. Highly recommend.

While some of the facilities and particularly the rooms are a little dated, this is easily outweighed by the incredible service and genuine dedication of every single member of staff. The rooms may be showing their age, but they were exceptionally clean and very well maintained. From the executive chef (Kathapermaal), the pastry chef (Ruben) who our son adored, to the gardeners, and from the restaurant managers to the waitstaff, everyone went above and beyond to make our stay special. Every member of the team seemed genuinely attentive to our needs, providing thoughtful, personal service without ever feeling forced or impersonal. They were also wonderful with our two-year-old son, constantly engaging with him in such a warm and playful way. The food was excellent, and the service was truly second to none. Whether it was preparing special food for us or our little son, providing a power adapter when we needed one, or simply surprising us with extra food and drinks, the staff consistently went the extra mile. The Kids Club was a highlight, especially for younger children. It had plenty of sand toys, balls and age-appropriate things to play with. The hotel’s private beach is also beautiful, with stunning turquoise water and a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. We particularly loved the stylish Bali-inspired furniture and decor throughout the property – especially around the beach bar, reception and in the gardens. It gives the whole place a very charming character. Overall, what makes this hotel so special is its size and the incredibly personal atmosphere. It feels less like a large resort and more like a small, welcoming place where the staff genuinely get to know you and care about making your stay enjoyable. We absolutely loved our stay and would happily come back.

Our stay at Friday Attitude in Trou d’Eau Douce was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, the whole experience felt warm, personal and genuinely welcoming. It wasn’t just a holiday — it felt like we were truly looked after What really stood out was the exceptional personal touch and service from the entire team. Chef Ruben deserves a very special mention. He was constantly checking in on us, making sure we were enjoying our meals and that everything was exactly as we wanted. What impressed us most was the care he showed towards our children. As they are quite fussy eaters, he went out of his way to prepare special food for them and made sure they were happy and well fed. That level of thoughtfulness made such a difference to our stay. Kishan, who served us at the restaurant, was also fantastic. He was attentive, friendly and always made us feel welcome. His service added another special touch to our dining experience. Another thing that made a real impact on us was the hotel’s commitment to supporting Mauritius itself. We loved seeing the emphasis on local products, local suppliers and Mauritian craftsmanship. Knowing that the choices made by the hotel help support local businesses, producers and the wider community made our stay feel even more meaningful. The fact that the Attitude Foundation also supports environmental, cultural and social initiatives, including marine conservation and community projects, is something we really appreciated. It’s wonderful to see a hotel not only offering a beautiful holiday experience but also giving something back to the place it calls home. The combination of the beautiful surroundings, warm Mauritian hospitality, wonderful food and, most importantly, the genuine care shown by the staff made our stay truly unforgettable. A huge thank you to the entire Friday Attitude team, and especially Ruben and Kishan, for making our family holiday so special. You made us feel cared for, welcomed and genuinely valued. We left with wonderful memories and a real appreciation for the people behind the experience. We would happily return and would absolutely recommend Friday Attitude to anyone looking for a relaxing, authentic and genuinely special Mauritian experience.
