We had a joyful 10 days at Sandos. I would like to recognise Olga the fantastic yoga teacher with 15 years experience. She got our day off to a great start at 7.30am with yoga for around an hour. She is the best yoga teacher I have ever had and I've been doing it many years. She has also for the first time been able to get my husband into it. I'd also like to recognise Mireia the assistant manager who provided excellent customer service. The Eco Pmethouse rooms are recommended! The staff are all very hard working, welcoming with a smile. It was an important family celebration for us and we spent it at a fantastic place.

We had a wonderful experience at Toscana! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was lovely, and the service was excellent. A special thank you to our servers Abel and Jesus — they were absolutely the best! They were friendly, attentive, professional, and made sure we had everything we needed. They truly made our experience special. ❤️ We will definitely come back and highly recommend Toscana, especially because of the amazing service from Abel and Jesus! 🇲🇽🍝✨

Amazing place, we had the best time here at Sandos Caracol. Rooms clean and spacious with water cooler and mini fridge stacked with soft drinks and beers, otherwise fairly basic but everything you need. However the resort is anything but basic, it’s like a village with stunning nature and scenery everywhere you look. The restaurants are absolutely 5 star and despite what some of the other reviews say, we had no problem booking into, just need to book a couple of days in advance. Highlights for us were the cenote swimming and morning yoga by the cenote. The staff here are wonderful, everyone is so friendly and there are loads of staff so always someone on hand if you need anything. Evening entertainment shows are really professional with talented acrobats and performers. Definitely worth booking the adults only select club if you have no kids with you, access to the adults only pool and beach club meant lovely calm relaxed environment also breakfast and lunch in the Brazilian restaurant was fantastic. Excellent value for money. Can’t recommend this place highly enough. Will hopefully be back soon!

What a ripoff. First of all I find it weird there are only positive reviews visible for this place. I’m pretty open minded and easy to please but this place was so horrible my family and I checked out even though they refused to refund us. Someone else mentioned the travel agency was no help and they are correct. First of all the staff we met were great. We booked a Superior Room with Pool View ( based on their website, the most luxurious they had available) instead they gave us a 1 bedroom that had the view of the back of the beach chair and mechanical equipment. The entrance to the room smelled like raw sewage. The room itself was nice, a bit dated and had dead bugs all around, but it’s the jungle so that didn’t bother me too much. What they advertise on their website is not what you get. A majority of the restaurants were closed. Really could only rely on the buffet that had long lines because it was this be of the few places you can get food. The food is not good, then there are the flies, so many flies landing on your food as you try to eat…. My second morning there we went to the taco place for breakfast, because the buffet line was long… we had to abandon breakfast because of the food onslaught of flies, my poor kids couldn’t eat because their little hands weren’t quick enough to shop the garage of flies. I do understand the resort is in the jungle, but the resort we went to when we left here was 15 minutes away in the jungle and we did not have issues with flies all over our food. The drinks here are horrible everything tastes like chemicals, they showed me the simple syrup they used in their drinks and it’s some mass produced bottom shelf garbage. I asked them to use brown sugar to make my drinks, it was the only way I was able to even have a drink. The beach is looked like an abandoned fishing village , they cenotes were filthy and closed ( they were cleaning it the day I left) . The pool was average and crowded when I asked the staff what’s up with the vast difference between the website and the resort they say bad management. When we spoke to the manager she could care less, she gave attitude and pretty much said tough luck, we can switch your room but that’s all and there are no refunds. Didn’t even pretend to empathize with my experience. We hooked somewhere else and the staff tells us way better choice than this place, you know they know. This was a complete bait and switch experience.
