Octant Ponta Delgada

We loved the Octant hotel whale watch bar. Cassia and Joana were the absolute best...They made our Azores trip experience most memorable. From suggesting day trips to dining at the best restaurants, they were always perfect choices. We always loved returning from our daily activities, running upstairs to tell them about our day, they honestly became our friends. Really lovely hotel. We stayed in a family suite which was perfect for us plus three children - one door opened onto a common area then two rooms inside. Breakfast was lovely (shout out to fabulous egg man who made all the omelettes ) and loved the little touches of stories and teddies left for the kids and fizzy sweets on the front desk. Really helpful staff - Miguel as we left brought water, bags and helped pack our car. We ate in the restaurant one night and it was delicious.

Great hotel in the heart of Ponta Delgada. Within walking distance to the marina, restaurants, town center, and all the sights. Great location to easily explore the south side of the island. Stayed as a family of four with two adjoining rooms. One was a corner room on a high floor with floor to ceiling windows. The absolute best view of the entire town! Rooms are spacious, updated, and clean. Each room had a small but useable outdoor balcony. Service was great, very welcoming upon check in with hand towel and espresso! Valet parking is super convenient. Complimentary breakfast buffet is delicious and includes quite a bit of options. Fitness center is small but serviceable. Rooftop lounge is very cool. Pool is on rooftop and has cool sights but is a little small and cramped. An overall large hotel that is lively but in a good way, not too noisy. A bit pricey but decent value considering what you get. Great hotel but if you’re looking for a quaint, boutique feel, this is not it. Know what you are getting.

Really a great property, the customer service was outstanding, there was a little issue the first morning at check in but they more then made up for it, great Amex FHR hotel, Luis at the front was particularly helpful.

The hotel was beautiful, clean, comfortable, and well maintained, with friendly and attentive staff who made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The room was spacious, the breakfast was excellent, and every detail contributed to a relaxing and enjoyable visit. The Azores are absolutely breathtaking. The island's lush landscapes, volcanic lakes, dramatic coastlines, and charming towns make it a truly unique destination. We loved exploring the natural beauty, trying the local cuisine, and experiencing the warm hospitality of the people. It's the perfect place for anyone looking to enjoy nature, tranquility, and authentic culture. We would happily stay at this hotel again and highly recommend both the hotel and the Azores to anyone planning a memorable vacation.
