Where to begin.. firstly, this is absolutely not a 5*! It is very clean and the backdrop of the mountains are beautiful BUT the family rooms on the rear of the hotel run parallel with a very busy dual carriageway that can be heard all the time.. Yet no mention of this in the hotel write-up, or the Jet2 description - how odd! The Family room did indeed have 2 rooms but they were very small. A single sized wardrobe with the usual insufficient amount of hangers. Drawers that were hard to open and nowhere near enough storage space. Second bedroom wardrobe door fell on me as I opened it. When letting guest relations know, they said oh no, that should not have happened, we will get it fixed - which they did, but still, this should be checked by housekeeping whilst getting the room ready. The beds were incredibly hard and uncomfortable, so too were the pillows, they were like breezeblocks. Upon arrival at gone midnight, the mini bar had not been replenished and so there was no water in the room that night. Guest relations apologised but, this is an example of the small details that let the hotel down. Attention to detail in a supposed 5* hotel should be consistent. This hotel does not welcome, nor does it cater to, Brits. We were made to feel very unwelcome for our entire stay.. some of the bar staff even laughed at our pronunciations of drink requests. There were a couple of exceptions but on the whole, the staff were unfriendly, sullen and unapproachable. Corendon and Jet2 should be ashamed of themselves. This hotel does NOT welcome British people. Hardly any of the staff had even a basic understanding of English and this made it incredibly difficult to converse. There was also nowhere near enough staff, the wait times for drinks was too long at times. In the restaurant there were not enough tables to cater to the number of guests, waiting for a table and then waiting for it to be cleared and set was a chore each evening, it was then also a challenge finding a member of staff to order drinks and so most nights we took a drink in from the bar to avoid the disaster of trying to find someone, and then hoping they understood what we wanted.. because if they didn’t understand, they just guessed and brought a random selection over! This hotel has a party vibe with VERY loud music all day and all night, they welcome groups of single men who openly leer, letch and stare inappropriately at very young girls. The restaurant was disappointing, food was average at best and apart from the bbq night, was very repetitive and boring. Thank goodness for the food court just across the way, choice was a little better there - service was just as bad here (again, apart from 1 or 2 members of staff). Overall the food was a huge disappointment - NOT 5*. No sunbed wars thankfully, assuming that the vast majority were sleeping off the drink from the night before until midday and then wandering down for the daytime drinking to begin again. It was a little like a Turkish hotel offering a 18-30’s experience… NOT family friendly at all. We have stayed in some true 5* hotels in Türkiye and this does not compare at all. This is at best a 3* and I’m afraid that it has spoilt our love for Kemer and of Türkiye. We will never recommend this hotel and we will not be back. Jet2, this needs to be removed from your destination list for Kemer. So so disappointing.

The staff are incredibly warm, friendly, and attentive. The food and service are excellent. I am very happy with my stay at your hotel. I hope I’ll be able to visit you again with my family next year. 🤍

Grand Correndon Playa Hotel, Kemer We chose this hotel as the reviews were really good, it had a relatively short transfer (~ an hour) and it had it’s own private beach. We arrived at the hotel just after midnight, the check-in was slick, and the first question we were asked was if we were hungry. . . with two young children in tow, the answer was a resounding ‘yes’. After being escorted to our room, we were taken to one of the restaurants (the ‘food court’) and given a hotel-specific QR code to scan and access the menu available. Within literally minutes our meals came out and we all simply smiled. The room was a ‘superior sea view’ room and it was a lovely one bedroom looking out to sea. The supply of bathrobes, toiletries, slippers and mini-bar that was restocked daily, were all nice touches. The hotel has all you could want on-site, with restaurants, pools, some small slides and a private section of beautiful beach, and still feels perfectly compact and relaxed. The main buffet restaurant is vast and offers a wide selection of food. There is also a lovely cake shop and ice-cream hatch, not to mention the ‘food court’ which is open 24/7, so they ensure that no-one goes hungry. There is a compact, but useful gym, with a PTI based there. It had all the cardio and resistance equipment you would need, and did the job nicely. It didn’t ‘officially’ open until 8am, but on arrival I was kindly advised that I could access it from 7am, which was perfect for me (many thanks 🙏). We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel, and will no doubt return soon. It is lovely!
