Rixos Downtown Antalya – The Land of Legends Theme Park Free Access

Disappointing and not what we expected from a five-star Rixos Unfortunately, we wouldn’t stay at Rixos Downtown Antalya again. The rooms are extremely tired and badly need refurbishing. The main buffet restaurant is also quite unattractive, and the food was very mediocre. I normally have no trouble finding plenty to enjoy at an all-inclusive resort, but I struggled here. We also really disliked the number of cats around the hotel. When eating outside, cats jumped up at the tables, sat underneath them and tried to get our food. Although guests were told not to feed them, many still did. When we tried to shoo the cats away, some hissed at us. It made eating outside extremely uncomfortable. Even more upsettingly, there was a dead cat outside the hotel during our stay, which was left there for a considerable amount of time before anything was done. The beach bar food was awful. The chicken was dry and burnt, while the Caesar salad and croutons were soggy. I wouldn’t recommend eating there. The private beach was also very stony and wasn’t particularly enjoyable. You only receive one included visit to an à la carte restaurant during your stay, which is very disappointing for a five-star all-inclusive hotel. At other resorts, we have been able to visit each à la carte restaurant during our stay. This was particularly frustrating because the buffet food was so underwhelming. We paid extra for the teppanyaki restaurant, but it was only average. The food wasn’t great, and the chef focused more on trying to be funny and spraying water at the children than delivering a good teppanyaki experience. We have definitely experienced much better elsewhere, and it didn’t feel worth the additional cost. On a positive note, the hotel does have an initial wow factor. The reception, hallways and main communal areas are very pretty and impressive when you first arrive. Sadly, the rest of our experience didn’t live up to that first impression.

We chose Rixos Downtown Antalya primarily because of its location, and it turned out to be an excellent choice. Everything was great: the housekeeping was impeccable, the service was outstanding, and we really enjoyed the food, gym, swimming pool, beach area, and the transportation service to The Land of Legends. Everyone was incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive. A special thank you to the two dark-haired ladies who were working at the reception around lunchtime on August 8, especially the older of the two. You worked a little miracle that turned our holiday into something truly wonderful. Your kindness and willingness to help made a real difference. Thank you — you are amazing! There are a couple of things that could be improved. During very hot weather, getting around the hotel sometimes means going through heavily air-conditioned indoor areas, and there is unfortunately no alternative route. For us, the sudden change from the heat outside to the very cold air conditioning was not particularly pleasant. Also, the information about The Land of Legends could be much more detailed. There was very little information provided in advance. It would have been helpful to know about the wristband system, lockers, food options, towels, and how everything works once you arrive. We had to figure most of it out ourselves. Fortunately, it was not our first visit, so we already had some idea of what to expect. Overall, though, Rixos Downtown Antalya is a wonderful hotel with excellent service and a great atmosphere. We had a fantastic stay and would gladly come back. ❤️
