Atlantica Bay

We spent 10 days at the Atlantica Bay Hotel & honestly it was one of the best hotels we’ve stayed in. The hotel staff were always friendly, polite & efficient. The reps Alex, Dan & Max were brilliant. We particularly got to know Max as he had just joined the team. His energy, enthusiasm & sense of fun were apparent as he got us joining in with everything from darts to giant jenga! His version of water aerobics was very funny! In the evening we really enjoyed line dancing led by Dan & the silent discos had us boogieing all night! We will definitely return! Thank you Atlantica Bay for a wonderful holiday!

A lovely hotel lovely friendly staff also entertainment staff Max & Stan you want to think about keeping Max he puts energy into his job of which Is brilliant , as being an entertainer energy in to the job is inportant , regards Adrian Shattock

On arrival to the hotel at 1:00am it was nice to be offered some food which included different wraps and a few other items, also a glass of bubbly, there was also water with lemons and limes in it. First downfall was not being able to get a drink at the bar as the all inclusive had finished. So we went to bed instead for a good night's sleep - we were on floor 4 and we were in room 428 which was a lovely and spacious room however faces the front of the hotel, what a nightmare of a sleep we had with what sounded like a generator all night long which was opposite the hotel. On the morning we asked to swap rooms, which the reception staff helped with we were given our new room at 3pm after other guests checked and the room was cleaned. Entering our new room which was now on floor 2 room 242 was much better, we couldnt hear the generator however could hear a lot of traffic and what sounded like delivery trucks arriving to the hotel early hours and this was daily also on a nightime when the staff were taking the rubbish to the industrial bins you could hear them getting crushed so if you were having an early night this was happening around 12pm. After spending the day around the pool and going back to the room I was very poorly with what i now think was sunstroke and my partner went to the minibar to get me some water to find the minibar had not been replenished from the room clean. She went down to the reception to simply tell the staff that the minibar was empty and could she have a bottle of water for me as I was not very well to which they wouldnt give her but they would send someone up to the room, she came back to the room and within 5 minutes 2 male staff knocked on the door and asked to check that the minibar was actually empty, we were extremely upset about this as we were only asking for a bottle of water we were not asking for wine or lager etc which is usually in the fridge on arrival. They checked and give her the water even though they knew I was in bed. The hotel itself is spotlessly clean and tidy. You can see the staff working hard. Its lovely and modern, with plenty of seating inside and outside. Just a real shame about the location. This is definitely not PAPHOS area it is Limasol. We were going to hire a car but it was 1hr 10 to paphos itself and longer to other places. There is any amount of sunloungers some days we were getting them at 12 on the afternoon other days we had to get them early about 8am. Just depends on departures and arrivals really. The housekeeping staff could do with cleaning the floor as our floor was not cleaned and our friends floor was also not cleaned. The location is absolutely terrible with only one pub to the left of the hotel passed the supermarket and passed the roundabout - the pub Chesters was lovely, we ate here twice and the cocktails were amazing. This is roughly 15 minutes walk from the hotel. It has lots of TVS so is classed as a sports bar but the foot was great. We got the bus to limassol marina which was advised to us, there was only two restaurants open and nothing else. Not sure if we just chose a bad time to go as people say limassol old town is really nice and busy. The bus was quick and make sure to hold on and sit down straight away as there is no waiting around. It cost us €2 each which was a good price. There is a lot of cats on the site which is nice to see that the vet comes round and checks them, they dont bother you really unless you interact with them. Some people feed them which makes them jump up at others and causes the cats to fight. There is a little feeding station near the white gates where there is always fresh water and biscuits for them to have. Service around the pool was sometimes minimal unless you went to the bar yourself which is okay but if your at the other end can get annoying. Special mention to Rana and Gajendra who brought ours when they were available. Both lovely lads. The pool itself was lovely and clean and had a shallow end and deep end , it was in the shape of a lazy river where you could do some lovely slow laps around. It was like a bath the water soon heated up with the sunshine beaming on to it constantly. Lenka and Rajan were exceptional nighttime staff- they knew our orders off by heart and were just continous with our drinks. Always smiling and very chatty which was lovely. The drinks options were okay, however no frozen cocktails are available on the all inclusive. There is also no branded spirits available only local ones. We participated in several around the pool activities with Max and Danilo, who are fantastic. We done Bingo, bracelet making, jenga, boules, hoop throwing, table tennis and plenty more. We also done cocktail making which was great we really enjoyed this one however it was quite rushed and was over with in 40 mins. My partner watched cypriot coffee making which she really enjoyed, we were supposed to do wine tasting but it got cancelled and danillo tried to sort something out for us with the bar staff but they were not cooperating with Danillo at all- to which he was very apologetic. The nighttime entertainment was poor. I had read reviews but wasn't expecting it to be that poor. Silent disco, silent film, same singer if you were there more than a week, I felt like the hotel really wanted silence after 10.45pm , including taking the candle lights off the table leaving people sat our in nearly enough pitch black. People were smoking around the pool and also on the nighttime terrace part. My partner has COPD so this wasn't good for her '- usually a smoking area is availble for people. The Sauna, steam and spa was beautiful , super clean and the staff were really friendly. I had a 45 minute back shoulder and head massage which was great I got a discounted price when she was coming around the pool for €65. Lisa the Tui rep was really nice and friendly and made her way around the pool to say hello and make sure everything was okay every shift she was on. The food was not great - a lot of options but nothing really went together apart from the taco night. We booked both a la cart restaurants but make sure to book as soon as you arrive as there was alot of people who didn't get chance to go. From the hotel one I had the beef and my partner had the salmon mains these were lovely, and from sands bar my partner got the massive 750g Pork chop which was cooked to absolute perfection and was a real treat , i had the lamb skewers which melted in your mouth. The scenery was amazing looking over the sea with the moon beaming down. We didnt find out until 2/3 days before leaving if you skip the lunch buffet and go to eat at 2.30pm you can actually have a served meal we ended up dokng this for those last few days. It was nice to get a Greek salad as there wasnt this option on the everyday buffet which I thought was strange. We did a walk 1hr to the right along the sea board walk and i can safely say there was nothing down that way maybe 1 fish restaurant but not sure on opening times etc. We made some lovely friends here and they were really happy with the turn downs on their beds and little chocolates on the corners of theirs beds. We didnt receive this treatment i think all rooms should have the same service so this was dissapointing. When going for lunch and dinner with others the staff were not happy about sitting use together although they did you could see they didnt want to. It really felt like they wanted you silent all the time. We were a quiet 6 and not causing any issues but even on a nightmare if you laughed there was funny looks dished out. Overall the hotel itself is lovely, the staff are lovely, the food is average, the location is tragic. Although we enjoyed our break we wouldnt return due to the location. We went on 15th August and this was super hot hitting 45 degrees. Be careful not to leave your flip-flops out in the sun.

If you want to experience a retirement home vibe with a bonus of a small pool. Over crowded like sardines. Then this is the place for you. Absolutely nothing around. The only good thing we can say is the sands restaurant was lovely. Everything else was not worth the money at all. This hotel is way too small for the amount of rooms they have. Cats begging for food constantly too which is pretty gross while you’re trying to eat. Don’t waste your money

What a beautiful hotel! Super clean everywhere. All staff are super friendly and helpful there especially after the 2nd day there when my partner proposed to me, they had a glass of sparkling wine ready for when we returned to our table, Dean the head of the restaurant staff and who also does the wine tasting experience in the hotel (which is a must) he is one of the most kindest, friendliest professional person you will ever meet he went above and beyond his job. The food is amazing there! The pool is lovely always at a lovely temperature. All staff couldn’t be more helpful always offering drinks, entertainment staff are really friendly without being pushy. Rooms are comfortable and all you could ask for really. Also this hotel well 2 lady’s there looks after all the cats and kittens that they possible can do, there is a donation box near reception that lots of people miss to help them continue to look after all the cats. This place holds a special place in our hearts and we will definitely return.
