Tasia Maris Beach Hotel & SPA

Wow water is chargeable …… really when partner has heart disease and you need water for medication Good job there’s a supermarket over the road to buy water a total necessity Have to buy water when I’m in an all inclusive hotel ……. Never ever before have I ever had to buy water Will not be coming here ever again

We had a fab time at this hotel - would recommend! The hotel is clean and modern. Rooms are standard hotel size and cleaned daily. Free safe in room. Both breakfast and dinner had a variety of different dishes. Staff were very friendly. Nice pool area with decent sized pool. Vathia Gonia beach is close with plenty of sunbeds which are reasonably priced. Nissi beach is a 15 min walk but very busy by midday during the summer! Bus stop nearby which we used to go to the waterpark and Protaras (Fig Tree beach is lovely!) and €2 for a single journey (cash only). Would recommend a visit to Zorbas bakery too. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here. We stayed half-board so can’t comment on the AI experience, however it was the perfect hotel for what we wanted.

We had a lovely restful & enjoyable holiday but have mixed feelings about Tasia Maris & we have taken many all inclusive holidays for the past 20 years & never encountered a 2 tier all inclusive drink system. Main concern: Confusion re all inclusive & All inclusive plus. As a TUI customer when booking there is NO explanation what (AL PLUS) is & not able to select it, can only select: Half board, Full board or all inclusive. Note: All inclusive does NOT allow you all drinks (no brands). AL plus option causes confusion & delays. On an all inclusive package we drank a local spirit long cocktail for 7 nights & then had it declined two evenings by a rude head bar tender, confusing the poor waitress who actually refereed it to Manager Christina. Very unnecessary over a drink! eg: strawberry daiquiri was NOT all inclusive drink. More staff needed for evening drink service as too slow & over complicated due to AI & AI Plus. Swimming pool: Amazing with an excellent gradual safe walk in slope with handrail. Able to get loungers daily no problem, with great quality towels daily from the Spa. SPA: Amazing, had a massage & scrub package - really recommend, it was great. FOOD: Great food throughout our holiday, always a variety on offer. Clean dining area. The 5One roof top “Al La Carte” restaurant which you can have 1 visit was exceptional & would highly recommended you visit, there are some options with extra cost eg fillet steak €14, well worth it, delicious. We did really prefer the lunch time food self service option from main restaurant (only done once on a Sunday). The other lunch menu (by pool) labelled “Al La Carte” service is sometimes slow at peak lunch time 1pm & appears a lack of staff, creating longer waits to order food & drink. Note: they dish up huge portions “for lunch”. Some great hardworking waiting on staff, who work so hard. Cleaners do an exceptional job keeping everywhere spotless. Location: superb Entertainment: average, does need improvement as repeats after 1 week. (2 week rolling program recommended) Room: Patio door unsafe, no lock at all. Looks liked been hacked off, definitely an historic issue that’s not been addressed & we discovered this after unpacking & didn’t report as surely they already knew as cleaners in daily (see photo) & we just couldn’t be bothered to be moved rooms after unpacking. Our room was tight for space, limited clothes draws & no where to hang a long maxi dress as wardrobe had a shelf. A fridge in the room, & nothing is put in the fridge, no cold drink refreshments supplied daily as part of all inclusive, (never known this before) only 1 bottle of water supplied on arrival so had to go to local shop & buy water. Basic water is a necessity in a room on a daily basis as many people need to take medications. Bathroom in our room: needs improvement, very small & tired with poor lighting in shower space. Overall, despite above we did enjoy our holiday & met some lovely people & do totally understand the repeat “safe” customers who return yearly. We all have our own standards & can all judge on past holidays, if you like the standards of TUI Blue or a RIU hotels etc the Tasia Maris may not be for you.

Overall we had a great holiday at Tasia Maris. The hotel is very clean. Rooms are simple but have everything you need. We had a room with sun beds on the balcony - this was great as there were few beds available around the pool after 9am. However, the balcony had full sun until late afternoon so got very hot. We went poolside each afternoon and could find a sun bed by then. The pool is lovely and the pool bar serves great cocktails. The food was very good - we always found plenty to choose from. Staff were friendly and helpful (especially Ahmed - he was great!). The nearby beach is lovely - it costs 10 euros for sunbeds and an umbrella for the day. There was very little day time entertainment. Evening entertainment was ok - although we really enjoyed 'Freddie Morecurry', who was great fun and an excellent singer! The only issue we had was that on arrival there was a bottle of water in the fridge in our room - but after that you had to pay for more! We have never been to an All Inclusive where you had to pay for water!!

It was one of the best experiences we’ve ever had. The hotel was very comfortable and peaceful, with no disturbances at all. The staff were extremely kind and friendly, and the rooms were very clean. A special thanks to George, the manager, who was incredibly helpful and kind to us. He always greeted us in the morning, checked if we needed anything, and was always ready to help with whatever we needed. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we really enjoyed our stay at the hotel.
