Tasia Maris Beach Hotel & SPA

Our second stay here and it was fantastic. We were half board and enjoyed fabulous food at breakfast and dinner. Cocktails at the pool bar were €6 so happy days!. The evening entertainment was great, singers, karaoke and bingo depending on the night. Great location, walking distance to beaches and the centre of Ayia Napa and only a 45 minute transfer from the airport. Best of all…the staff, Sultani and Demetri at the pool bar (perfected my Long Island Iced Tea), Katarina on reception, Sultani (again) & Mirela in the main bar were all so friendly and helpful. The housekeeping team on the 5th floor were always so polite and friendly too. All in all nothing was ever too much trouble. That said, a special mention to George Evagorou, the restaurant manager, what a legend. Remembered us from our first stay in 2024 and an absolute credit to the TM team. We will definitely be back.

Review of our stay at Tasia Maris August 2026. This was a first visit to the hotel for a weeks stay after a Marella Cruise. This are my personal opinions/thoughts. On arrival at the hotel it was before check in time, so understandably we had to wait for our rooms to be available. However we were able to access lunch and have a drink before check in. Check in was very basic, not much information provided, for example what was included in AI versus AI plus, restaurants and facilities available etc. We since discovered this information was on a channel on the TV or on the board by reception. As travelling with family had contacted hotel in advance with some room requests, so that our family could be on the same floor. We were not however, one room on the 1st floor the other on the 3rd floor. At check in, we went to find the first room on the 1st floor, and it was still not ready, maid still cleaning/making up the room, despite reception saying it would be ready. Had to take all luggage to the other room whilst we waiting for the room to be available. Rooms were adequate for us, the 1st floor room did overlook the entertainment stage, so could be noisy - but most entertainment stopped before 11pm. The 3rd floor room was on the side but we could see the sea. Room layout did vary, 3rd floor room had a very small bathroom, but 1st floor room had a larger bathroom but poorly lit. We found enough storage space and left cases by the patio doors. Fridge and tea/coffee facilities. Fridge is not stocked, one bottle of water in the room. But please ask at the inside bar and they will refill your botttle, don't buy water. We only found this out by asking reception. Have seen alot of posts about buying water!!💦 Food - There is a variety of food available for breakfast and evening meal. Omelettes and poached eggs to order at breakfast, and make your own pasta at evening meal. Did find out that in the evening desserts did run out quickly, so if you see something you like, get it earlier! Personally found the large silver serving dishes hard to open, and the fear they may tip over. During the day, snack menu available from 11am-1pm and 3pm-6pm, then al a carte menu for lunch from 1pm. Select from a menu, warning some portions are huge. On a Sunday there was special lunch buffet which you went to fetch from inside, to then sit outside. Drinks - AI menu, with lots of different cocktails. However seemed some discrepancy on what entitled to. One guest told us about a Bailey's coffee on AI, but when we ordered was told there was a charge. Also the iced coffees, checked with reception on the AI menu, and said they were chargeable. At the bar towards the end of our stay saw an AI guest order an iced coffee. So we asked if chargeable for AI, and the bar staff said no, so we had iced coffees free. Really confusing and a shame we only found out entitled to at the end of our stay. We also only discovered the icecream for AI guests by chance and only knew about 5one restaurant by seeing an advert in the lift. We did use the 5one restaurant one evening, arrived for our booking time and found doors still closed! There was a mistake made by the kitchen/waiting staff on our main courses, so three of our party had to eat, whilst waiting for the final meal to be cooked. No explanation given, also thought desserts were rushed and were waiting as soon as plates cleared from the table. Paid a small supplement for some of the dishes. Entertainment - day time the staff do their best to engage guests, aqua aerobics seems to be the most popular. Evening entertainment is on a rolling programme. The best act in our option was The Ages of Rock. Could do with some more stage lighting though, and maybe some announcement the entertainment is about to start. There was also bingo, karaoke a poor circus act and a greek night. The pool area did get busy and sunbeds are reserved very early before 8am, even earlier on some days for guests with a preferred spot! The beach is walkable, but we also used Nissi Beach which was about 15 minutes walk away either on the main road, or via the costal path. The staff make this hotel - a few names we remember are Mr Dimitris in the restaurant, waiting staff Ahmed, Manoj, Subas and Dani, and Andri on the inside bar. Not forgetting George and his dancing. Would we return - probably not

This hotel is one of the WORST hotels I have ever ever been to. You are not at all getting what you expect, the rooms are absolutely tiny for 3 people your practically sleeping on top of one another and no room for clothes that your either living in a mess or out your cases. And bed sheets never ever changed so bobbly and uncomfy and even when you ask they change them to older bedding full of bobbles and stains. The balcony door does not lock, 4 times we had to get it sorted and their reply was”well I can do it” which is absolutely no use to anyone. The food is absolutely horrific always cold and not a big variety. Jacket potato cake out with rock hard filling almost raw, pasta overcooked, meat completely dry. And don’t ever ask for the soup of the day or the arrogant rude Christina will answer with “tbh sir I don’t know” which ha been done to us a few times. You order your food and they forget to bring half of it out or starters after mains then try to blame you as if you haven’t paid to come here. Only nice things are the chips. You can’t even get a bottle of water on all inclusive so what you think is all inclusive actually isn’t and ends at 11 and some nights 10 realistically whether you catch them in a day they can be arsed. You go to the bar to get a drink and u get screamed at to sit down because apparently it is table service when not one person has come to your table and if they have they ask for ur room number and leave. The only friendly staff are the ones at the pool bar. The food options are not good for fussy eaters as your presented with things such as “tumeric pasta” which isn’t the most appealing. Only thing I can say is do not come to this hotel

Beautiful hotel, everywhere in this hotel is spotless, all staff are so friendly from reception to the maids to the fantastic Restaurant Manager George who is the best. He has so much compassion for his job, he is very friendly with all the guests and nothing is too much trouble for him. Food is always nice and fresh and a great variety, if you get a chance definitely recommend 5 One restaurant it’s fantastic, could do with more music round the pool and more entertainment on a night as the e current entertainment is ok but doesn’t last long enough then bingo. Definitely recommend this hotel.

We have had a fantastic holiday here, this Hotel is great , from the friendly welcome to the lovely rooms , daily cleaned rooms and fresh linens . The pool area is great and it has a really good vibe , plenty of sun-beds around the pool area , great pool bar- the barman looks like Romeo Beckham LOL - good fun with our daily water aerobics and the entertainment staff are lovely . The staff all over the Hotel are fabulous, Lotta in reception and Mariel who takes or drinks , but George is the Tasia Maris - best host ever and lots if fun . He makes up for the Manager who is very sour , not as lovely as Lassio . Get yourself booked and experience this fabulous place for yourself . JanieK
