Hotel Horizont

The hotel is definitely not worth as many stars as stated in all locations. The hotel simply needs a complete renovation because it can be seen that it is worn out. The condition of the rooms, furniture, air conditioning indicates the fact that at least 10 years have not been invested in maintenance and/or renovation. You take a room with a sea view, which should be an added value, and when you sleep with an open window, sleeping before 1 a.m. is not possible because of the noise from the

We have been here for 2 days now and are extremely disappointed that there is no pool bar or drinks service. Never been to a hotel without this facility. Questioned this with reception and they told us that they haven’t got the staff. However we can get drinks from the upstairs bar. Which is very awkward as the gate on the stairs has been locked which prevents us access. Would have been helpful if they had told us this situation upon arrival. Get some pool waiter service or Open the gate!!!!

The hotel is quite dated, not in a "needs complete renovation"-way, but it is quite old-timey and getting worn. The overall structure is good with a lot of potential. The staff were great; friendly, service-minded and timely, and really the best part of the stay. The wellness area is nice, and could be great with the right touches. Someone clearly had a vision here some decades ago, and it is still comfortable and the kids loved it. Unfortunately the staff did not follow up on the rules set for the area, which leads to a lot of "towel-reservations" of sunbeds in the morning. The breakfast is nice enough, but the dinner buffet is quite disappointing, a new low was reached with fish-fingers and tater tots. It is good to cater to the young, but the adults were not satisfied. We had a nice stay, and overall it was ok value for money, with the staff really being the best part of the stay. Not the hotel's fault, but the bar right across the street makes for a lot of noise in the early night for the rooms facing the road. I believe that the Hotel Horizont has great potential, and still gives families a nice stay at the coast of Croatia, but top notch it is not.

Nice hotel but lots of children. Pool area quite small for amount of people and not enough sun beds so went to the beach instead of using pool. Location is very good, close to beach, restaurants and harbour. Nice walks rould the coastal path. Rooms are quite spacious with a small fridge, not other facilities and the hairdryer was rubbish. Shower above the bath very high so not good for short legs to climb in and out. Staff ok but not all staff friendly.

Requested a kettle from reception staff Marino before my trip and got the kettle on arrival. Staff all friendly and welcoming in the dining room , buffet style but a nice choice at mealtimes . Kristina and the older gent Redo I think his name was were friendly always smiling. All reception staff were attentive and happy to assist with enquiries. Spa was good and most importantly clean. The receptionist at the spa was lovely . Went early season so there wasn't entertainment but I enjoyed my stay. Room although outdated was clean and adequate for my weeks stay. Hotel is situated in a lovely area . Bars, shops and restaurants were all locally situated. All in all a pleasant stay and would stay again as travelling solo i felt safe.
