Hotel Laurentum

This was our first visit to Laurentum and it has been a very positive experience and quite a surprise in every possible way. Laurentum is not a large hotel - it's not a resort-style hotel with kids clubs, large pools and activities - what it is is a perfectly sized hotel for Tucepi, situated at the best possible location. This means that it's never really crowded, not at the pool, not during breakfast and there are never lines or long wait times for anything. From what we've seen most of the guests are families with children and young couples. Hotel recently underwent a complete renovation and they did an amazing job! Everything feels new and it's done with an incredible taste and with high quality materials - from room design and furnishing, to hotel lobby, spa area, pool... We stayed in "Superior double room" (2 kids and 2 adults). Room was very spacious, with double balcony and a beautiful sea view. Everything in the hotel was spotless clean - and even pool area and toilets, which can get very messy in hotels, felt like in some high-end spa hotel. AC works perfectly, which means a lot when it's close to 40 degrees outside. Pool is not very large but it is large enough for occasional swim/cooling during mid-day pause from the beach and to take a few last swims for the day before dinner. Tucepi has one of the longest and best beaches on that part of the coast and pool is really just a great complement to the beach. Considering that Laurentum is a very short 2 min walk from the beach, combining those two made for a perfect experience where kids were basically spending entire days swimming. Breakfast follows the same pattern as the rest of the hotel where quality is prioritized over quantity. It's not the largest breakfast buffe but it has a great variation so there's something for everyone. One very nice touch was that eggs are made to order, so guests can enjoy a great and fresh omelet every morning, as we did. Hotel staff is amazing! From our first contact with them via email, through our stay and departure, everyone on staff has been incredibly flexible, forthcoming, polite and always happy to help. We were never greeted with anything but smile and genuinely people working at the hotel are some of the nicest people in any hotel we've seen so far. Parking is also very convenient, directly next to the hotel. Coming in and out is a breeze and it doesn't take more than a minute to get on the main road. Price wise, for the quality of service, rooms and other facilities that it offers, in relation to other hotels on Croatian coast, at Laurentum you get a lot for your money and it's definitely worth it. The only area of improvement, for me personally, would be to invest in a few more machines for the gym. Gym is very clean, new, feels fresh but it's just missing some more equipment to make it fully useful for gym enthusiasts. For recreational gym goers it's probably good as it is. We would definitely recommend hotel Larurentum to everyone and especially families with children where combination of pool and proximity to the beach and evening events in Tucepi will help them make the most out of their visit.

What a surprise, we only stopped for a night while traveling up the coast, we could easily have stayed here more nights. We got a suite on the 4th floor with great view over the harbor, side beach and two balconies. Clean, spacious, bright, two air-con systems, big bathroom with ok pressure to wash my hair. Beach is on both sides of hotel. Restaurants and small grocery store just near by. Seemed to be end of high season, lots of people at the beach but very few at the pool.

Our third visit to this lovely hotel! The staff is always super sweet and helpful, the location is superb! The room has everything you need, I especially love the Nespresso machine, the luxurious pillows and the big rain shower. The cleaning is great, new towels every day, you get a bathrobe and slippers on arrival. The aircondition is also much appreciated. The pool and pool area is small but cosy and you can order drinks and coffee while sunbathing. Free towels at the reception. Don’t miss the beach though, it’s magic! The breakfast is really good, plenty to choose from and you can order the eggs you like. My boyfriend is vegan and never left the breakfast hungry all though a vegan youghurt and cheese alternative would be nice. We left super early and got a breakfast package when we checked out. You must let them know in advance and they will happily make it for you. Another lovely stay at this super hotel, will be back!

This Hotell is Clean and the Staff is very friendly.Not optional for Children.Do Not book half board the dinner was not god(You order from menu). I did also miss hocks in the Bathroom for towels.This place is very quite and good for couples or older people.

The hotel was immaculate, every where smelt so fresh and clean, the cleaners worked well cleaning the rooms, fresh towels changed every day. Rooms were cleaned to a high standard. The staff were very friendly, always said good morning or afternoon. Breakfast was nice , plentiful. Lovely side sea view, sun set was amazing. The only negative point was not enough sunbeds by the pool, people would get up early hours to reserve a bed. We spent 11 days at the hotel and not once we couldn't sit by the pool which was annoying. We had to go to the beach which was over crowded, we struggled to get a spot. So we walked about 20 minutes each day and found a beach that was less crowded with a nice beach side restaurant . Also bought beach mats because sunbeds were 20 euros for two beds plus 5 euros for a brolly. Overall a great holiday, Tucepi is a lovely resort with lots of nice restaurants.
