Zaton Holiday Resort

We had mixed feelings about our 10-day stay at Zaton Holiday Resort. The bungalow was excellent: clean, modern, spacious, very comfortable and located in a quiet area. The bedding was also very good. We were extremely happy with the accommodation. The beach was another highlight. It is directly accessible from the resort, with clean, shallow and safe water. It is relatively small but never felt overly crowded, and there are plenty of activities available. The restaurant experience, however, was very mixed. We initially booked half board at Mercato but had to cancel it and request a refund because of the poor food quality, limited variety, lack of healthy choices and disappointing presentation. The restaurant was also extremely crowded and noisy. On the other hand, Oliva, the traditional Dalmatian restaurant, was outstanding and by far our best dining experience. It is quite expensive, though, so not really an option for everyday dining. The other restaurants were generally okay, although we were unable to book a table at the beachfront restaurant. The biggest disappointment was the pool area. We did not use any of the pools during our entire stay because there was nowhere to leave towels or belongings unless you rented a sunbed and parasol for €10 per person. We found it unreasonable that resort guests effectively had to pay extra just to use the pool comfortably. Another major issue was the Wi-Fi, which did not work during our entire 10-day stay despite our complaints. There is only one supermarket, so it can get crowded and a little messy, but it offers a good selection of local products and we found everything we needed. Staff were generally friendly and helpful. Overall, the resort has some excellent qualities, particularly the accommodation, beach and activities, but the half-board food, pool policy and unreliable Wi-Fi significantly reduced our overall satisfaction.

Really liked the glamping village village. Ours had 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and great air-conditioning. Very comfortable stay. The breakfast buffet at the beach-front restaurant was very comprehensive -loads of food choices and a nice calm vibe. The park is very large but it copes well with the numbers. We liked having a villa near the beach. We didn't use the pools much as we enjoyed swimming and snorkelling in the sea. A decent amount of fish to see. We wore beach shoes in case of sea urchins, but they are only on the rocks. We enjoyed hiring a pedalo, paddle boards, kayak. Also enjoyed the inflatable on the sea. We ate out in the beach front restaurant and also used the takeaway restaurant a few times as the pizzas were good, not too expensive and fast service. We booked a boat trip from the holiday park to the island of Silba. We walked across the island and visited 3 different beaches, each with great snorkelling and swimming. It was an enjoyable day trip with a chance to sea dolphins (didn't see them on our day). The park is well run, very clean and tidy. I'd recommend staying in the glamping village. The beach is west facing so gets great sunsets!

Great campsite with something for everyone! Young, old, tent, static caravan, ore cottage, luxury or more modest, chic food, take away or cook yourself, shopping, lounging or activities, pool or beach, everything is possible! Even the dog is welcome, we miss only the Dog Shower by the beach! Going out in the area (with car) is also very nice, visit Nin, Zadar ore the Krka Waterfalls.

We had overally good experience, the accommodation was exactly what we were looking for. Idea of the resort is great, however there are some gaps in execution, like quite stressful breakfasts, or the prices in the resort. Still, good place for families that are ok with crowd and noise in entertainment areas. Bedrooms and camping area, as well as beaches were peaceful and allowed proper relax. Great facilities in camping homes allowed to enjoy the stay. Quite close to beautiful city of Nin with great restaurants and supermarket within a walking distance (as the internal one seems a bit more expensive and less supplied) which is additional plus.

I am very sorry that at the reception, both when checking in and when paying, my Avtokampi.si card was not taken into account, even though it was on offer when ordering a plot. After presenting it, I was only informed that they do not accept any avtokemp cards. We have been to your place three times in 1997 and 2025, 2026. Best regards, Jozef
