I’m absolutely delighted with my stay at the resort. It’s a beautiful place – clean, with plenty of restaurants, bathrooms, swimming pools, shops and car parks. The cottages are brilliant. The resort staff are wonderful.

We stayed at Zaton Holiday Resort in Croatia in May 2026 and unfortunately our experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish. Upon arrival, around half of the resort facilities were closed, including the splash pools, main pools, most restaurants, and even the horse riding activities. None of this was made clear before booking, before arrival or at check-in. The holiday that was advertised was definitely not the holiday we experienced. The buffet food was also a very poor standard and not what we expected from a family resort of this size. To make matters worse, the pool areas that were open had slides closed for two days for maintenance, which in our opinion should have been completed before the resort opened for the season. We were also charged extra for a baby cot, and the cabins were far smaller than expected for a family stay. The majority of the staff we encountered were rude, unfriendly, and unhelpful throughout our stay. During the holiday we spoke with Boris, a manager, regarding our complaints. He was polite, understanding, and acknowledged our disappointment as a parent himself. He offered us a 20% discount along with meal vouchers and said he would speak with the director manager and contact us afterwards. Unfortunately, he never contacted us again. At checkout, after waiting 10–15 minutes, we ended up dealing with another manager named Mat, who was extremely rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. Despite not being present at our original meeting, he denied that Boris had offered meal vouchers and defended everything that had happened. Interestingly, Boris suddenly became reachable by phone during this conversation after staff had previously claimed he was unavailable and on a flight. In the end, the “20% discount” only applied to accommodation and did not include the buffet or baby cot charges, making the compensation far less than originally implied. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience and not the family holiday we paid for or were promised. We would not return and would advise others to carefully check what facilities are actually open before booking.

Relaxing atmosphere, safety paths for children, beautiful plants and surrounding od the mobile home. Charming mini zoo with goats and rabbits.
