Mixed review really having stayed here for a week in July. Arrived late at night and invited to one of the restaurants for some food, upon entering the restaurant there was only 1 pasta dish which did not look edible, water/ juice machine but no cups. We had booked two rooms upon checking in we were informed the two rooms were on different floors but in the same block which wasn’t ideal with children. The rooms were not close together which was the first time this has happened when booking two rooms so slightly disappointed. Managed to get sun loungers most days around the pool, when they were all gone there were normally some left on the beach/pier area which was lovely. Can’t fault the pool and beach area was lovely, 1 of our rooms opened out onto part of a quiet beach area but everyday by 7am all the sun loungers outside our room had towels on and were taken. We seemed to be the only English family at the hotel, it seemed to be 95% Germans. The food and drinks for the all inclusive were the worse I have ever had at a hotel, very little choice at all, the restaurant set up is slightly strange with 4 very small separate restaurants all in a row next to each other but they all have the same food inside with very little choice or variety. Staff came and asked once what drink you wanted but never asked after that. There was no staffed bar you could go to for more drinks, you had to loiter where staff were getting the drinks from and ask someone who was doing table service once, Most meal times there were no glasses/ cups for the water/juice machines and often spent time having to go to each separate restaurant looking for a glass or paper cup. Similarly with the deserts, there were never any spoons/ forks next to the desert section so often had to go and find one. The only saving grace was the fresh pasta station at evening and the pancake/omelette station at breakfast, the fresh pizza oven was also a saving grace at lunch time if it wasn’t for this we would have gone very hungry all week! Despite this being an all inclusive hotel there are NUMEROUS drinks not included which you have to pay for including popular cocktails such as sex on the beach, pina colada. Staff are constantly walking around trying to get you to buy the drinks not included and even at the bar asking you to order paid cocktail rather than the free ones, they are clearly on commission for them. Even the paid cocktails don’t even contain the correct spirits e.g. no peach snaps in sex on the beach. Spirits there was very little choice- vodka, rum, whisky, gin. The cocktails both free and paid for are so weak you can’t even taste the alcohol in many of them. The milkshakes, smoothies, ice cream sundae all have to paid for also, I had a sundae which was very bland and plain despite paying for it. Staff are constantly walking around pestering. you to buy trips, drawings, spa treatments all day every day despite saying no they will still ask every day. Trips are very overpriced, especially it seems if you are English, you can knock them down a bit but we still paid a lot more for a snorkeling trip than a scuba trip in Sharm last year. It is much cheaper to book with a local company than book with the hotel. The hotel wanted £70 each for a trip that was £20 locally, huge difference. On the last day we asked for late check out but it wasn’t available, the only showers could use we had to book a time slot for a spare room, upon asking for the key it hadn’t been returned yet by the previous customers eventually we received the key 25 minutes late into our time slot. There were 4 of us to shower and get ready, the minute our time slot was up reception were constantly ringing the room telling us the next customers were waiting, despite knowing we had received the key 25mins late. Despite telling the staff member this on the phone I think there was a language barrier he continued to phone the room constantly telling us the next customer was waiting. Upon returning the key it was handed to the same staff member on reception who was fully aware we had received the key late, there were no other shower facility at all in the hotel despite there being a gym and there is no baggage room either. The only positives to this hotel are the location, pool and beach, everything else was very negative. Sadly having been to Egypt numerous times this is the worst hotel I have stayed at and I would not stay here again.
Lovely hotel. Having stayed at arabella last year, we thought we would try Arabia. It was great. Rooms spacious. Friendly staff especially Abi. Super smile and absolutely fab!! Plenty to see and do. Well maintained. Would definitely return
Every thing is great and good here very beautifull location and views
amazing experience great staff and food
Just returned from an amazing week-long vacation at Arabia Azur Resort 4* in Hurghada that I took with my husband, and I am so excited to share our experience! The hotel itself has a unique, charming layout with its own lagoons and a gorgeous coral reef right off the coast, which was a huge plus for us since we love snorkeling. Our room was spacious and clean, overlooking the beautiful blue water, and we really enjoyed the relaxed, peaceful atmosphere in the evenings while watching the Red Sea sunsets. While the resort offers its own activities, we wanted to explore more of Egypt, so we decided to book our excursions outside the hotel. A massive shoutout goes to the local company Sheriff Egypt. You can easily find them by searching their name on the internet. Booking through them was a breeze, and their prices are significantly lower than what our hotel guide was charging! We followed their recommendation and booked two unforgettable trips:The trip to Cairo in a small mini-group of up to eight people with a personal guide. It felt so exclusive and comfortable compared to those massive, crowded tour buses. We got to see the Pyramids and all the major sights at our own pace with a guide who answered every single question we had.A boat excursion to Hula Hula Island. The yacht we sailed on was brand new, incredibly sleek, and very comfortable. The crew and guides were super professional and spoke fluent English, making the whole day filled with swimming, crystal-clear water, and great vibes absolutely seamless. If you are heading to Hurghada with your partner and want a mix of great hotel relaxation and reliable, top-tier excursions without overpaying, definitely check out Arabia Azur Resort and book your adventures with Sheriff Egypt!
