Ahmed the waiter at the pool bar is absolutely amazing! Very quick service, always smiling and good English too!! Had a laugh with him. Even when he was about to go on his dinner he always made sure we had drinks before he went. Very good waiter 10/10!! Very nice man!!

Just returned home from a week at this hotel. It’s basically two hotels in one as the smaller Bluemarine is right next door & all the pools, restaurants, facilities etc are interchangeable & used by everyone. It’s a large site, but despite being fully booked this week it didn’t feel overcrowded. It’s a beautiful hotel, gardens are immaculate & you can see the gardeners working constantly. Staff are friendly - it helps to tip regularly as then they are definitely more helpful!! The pools are all well kept although during our stay a few of them had to be closed after poonamis. We are early risers so we were up & sat with coffee by the pool by 9am, never had a problem with getting beds, although we noticed the ones with shades were reserved very early - the hotel leave a polite note but they don’t remove towels. Our room was nice, top floor with a view of pool & garden, but we were quite near the restaurants & bars near reception - be warned the entertainment is all open air & starts at 9.30pm. So we were kept awake with the lounge bar singer every night until around 11.30pm. Room was kept spotlessly clean with regular fresh towels, no complaints, although the beds were rock hard! Activity & entertainment wise there’s a lot going on around the resort throughout the day if you want it. Sadly the beach is a bit naff, water very shallow & can’t swim unless you walk 300m or so out & then it’s very rocky - bring water shoes. They have windsurfers & kite surfers backwards & forwards all the time when the tide is in. The sand is sparse & also a bit like builders sharp sand - not much fun for the kids if they like their sandcastles. Not a game changer, but better to know beforehand if the beach is your thing. There are a few cabanas you can hire for an additional charge but they felt a bit pointless when the beach wasn’t very nice - the view isn’t great either - building work going on either side. For us the worst part of the hotel by far was the food. There’s plenty of it, but it feels like they use the cheapest cuts of meat & don’t make the most of the fresh ingredients at all - as a result it’s a weird mish-mash of cuisines & options, none of which go together or are executed particularly well. We are pretty adventurous with food & will try anything, but we struggled to find anything we enjoyed. Sadly we couldn’t get into any of the à la carte restaurants using the online system or via asking staff in reception at any point during our stay which was disappointing as we had 3 special occasions to celebrate while we were there. As a result we tried every other available restaurant / food outlet however we all suffered bad stomach cramps/aches & regular diarrhoea from day 2 so we didn’t feel 100%. Thankfully after reading other recent reviews I’d packed a good supply of Imodium, probiotics, paracetamol & electrolytes - we used them all!! We used alcohol hand gel & washed our hands regularly, used bottled water for brushing teeth, avoided ice & we didn’t spend hours boozing in the sun (we don’t drink!) or eat huge greasy meals. By the end of the week we could only manage a small side plate of food at mealtimes because we all felt nauseous & had bad stomach cramps after eating so something definitely isn’t right there. A lot of other guests were complaining of the same thing so we were not alone. Would we return? For the hotel itself, yes, it has great facilities, lovely friendly hardworking staff & it is a beautiful resort. Sadly for us the food completely lets it down & on that point alone we wouldn’t go back.

The hotel has 1000 rooms and they are building 300 more but it never feels crowdy with the many pools the have. Food and drinks are okay, very friendly staff in restaurants and waiters around the pool. Our Son had ear infection so we visit the hotel doctor wich was a very huge misstake, for ear infection treatment he charged us €1900!! And more people have to pay ridiculous amounts of money by this doctor. I talked with an hotel manager about this and he was shocked when he hearted the prices of this man.

My family and I spent a little over a week at the hotel, and we are extremely satisfied with our stay. The surroundings were wonderful, and the staff was helpful and polite. We were able to relax and have a great time. The meals were varied, and there was plenty of food available. Unfortunately, we had a minor unpleasant encounter with a shop assistant in one of the hotel stores, but of course, that is not the hotel's fault. The internet connection slowed down a bit during peak hours, but it's a manageable issue and was still usable despite that. The pools are great, though according to my son, it's a pity there wasn't a deeper pool for diving. The beach was pleasant, although during low tide, it was quite a long walk to reach the water. Sadly, I lost my glasses at the hotel and they weren't found, but that was my own fault, not the hotel's. All in all: an excellent place, and I highly recommend it.
