JAZ Makadi Star Resort & Spa

We stayed in rooms 220 and 228. On the positive side, the food is good, and some staff members are extraordinary: Mohamed and Abdu at the reception are very good and friendly, Hassan at the bar is amazing and extremely hardworking, and Ramadan at the lobby bar is also great. However, the rooms desperately need renovation as the furniture is very old.What completely ruined our vacation was the hotel management, which is extremely weak, and a severe security incident. A violent, completely naked tourist entered the resort, physically assaulted my friend (attempted to throw him into the pool), and repeatedly threatened to beat me. The hotel security team arrived only after all of this had happened, and even though they saw the attacker, they flatly refused to intervene or call the police that night. The management and the local agency only made the attacker sign paperwork promising he wouldn't cause more trouble, threatening him with a blacklist.Furthermore, I was shocked by the attitude of one manager who actually blamed me, asking why I didn't call the police myself that night! My legitimate question is: what was the hotel security actually doing? We were forced to contact the Tourism Police ourselves the next day. Due to the severe stress and the management's awful reaction, I suffered an acute hypertensive crisis (blood pressure spiked to 160/100 mmHg) and required emergency IV drips at the clinic, with the doctor recommending a hospital transfer. This case is now under official investigation by the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism (MoTA). The two managers leave a lot to be desired!

First time to Egypt I was a little nervous but I have to say I have never experienced anything like this hotel staff outstanding hotel outstanding beautiful rooms food outstanding service outstanding atmosphere outstanding value for money outstanding little walk to the beach but when you get there and see the fish it’s worth the little walk little far out of hurgarda but it was so quiet just what our group needed there was 9 of us and everyone has said they would definitely recommend this hotel

What can I say wow, it was my wife's 60th and our 30th anniversary and the hotel give us an amazing upgrade to celebrate this amazing time The staff. Oh my god so friendly helpfully and hard working. They felt like good friends by the time I left.. the food, Chef's take a bow. Amazing. My wife is a fussy eater any she always found something to eat. This includes beach pool bar and restaurant. The cleaners are super friendly and so helpful always there to help and support. All I can say is this hotel is amazing so friendly and they try to ensure that you have the best holiday you possibly can. The majority of hotel guests are German, but they are very friendly. Not alot of English here,but we were made welcome by all staff. Booked for next year this will be my 3rd visit. It is a quiet adult hotel. One thing to be mindful is hurgarda is 40 minutes in a taxi and is about £10 each way if you like to walk out and visit the shops. Looking to return in 2927

We stayed at this hotel for 1 week in August. Arriving up to hotel we were greeted with lovely chilled drink and cold towel. Teaken to our room which was 325 overlooking the pool which was lovely very spacious with plenty coat hangers and drawer space. Items in mini fridge were chargeable so we took everything out of it and put our on champagne and processco in which we brough with us and purchased more at airport also. Shower gel and shampoo on wall in shower and soap and body lotion on wall beside bathroom sink. Air conditioning work very well also. No rush each morning to put towels out either as this is adults only hotel now you can either go to beach or sit at pool plenty beds available to choose from. Pool bar had waiters going round every day taking overs or even giving out wrequired cleater first thing in mornings then sweets were given out, ice lollies, ice cream serve was fantastic the person who really looked after us was Abd Elrahman who had only just started at hotel a few months ago but was doing extremly well very hapy, chatty and polite. Buffet breakfast had an array of food to choice from each morning i thought a bit much but beautifully presented. Lunch time was also good along with evening meal in buffet restaturant. The Indian restuarant which is bookable on site was amazing and plenty of food on menu to choose from. The italian on site was also really good and food well presented. The people who work at ths resort are always cleaning making sure nothing is lying about or tumblers left about. The hotel had enterntainment on each evening not that i saw any as was so tired due to the sun all day but good crowd sitting outside in the evenings was very humid also. The room cleaner we had was Hamada who was excellent at his job and the room was spotless any time we went back he checked up on us each evening to see if we required clean beach towels. My husband was poorly for 1 day and he checked up on him to make sure we had everything for him we went to chemist for medication which was a 5 minute walk away got the medication which was really cheap and felt better after a few days. All stay are a real credit to this hotel and they all take pride and pleasure in working at the hotel. If you are not happy or need help with anything everyone on the reception desk are so obliging to help you. This was our first visit but certainly not our last keep up the good work Thank you.
