Serenity Alma Heights

**Absolutely amazing – we will definitely come back!** This hotel exceeded all our expectations. I travel quite a lot with my children, but I have never experienced a holiday where we had so much fun and felt so comfortable. Even though I was travelling alone with my children, we never felt alone. We truly felt like part of a family. The service was absolutely perfect. The waiters were incredibly kind and attentive. Whenever they noticed someone sitting alone, they would come over, have a little chat and make sure that person felt happy and welcome. That really touched me. The rooms were spotless, the whole hotel was beautifully clean, and even the water and all the facilities were very well maintained. The food deserves more than a 10/10 – everything was delicious and there was always something for everyone. The location, the atmosphere, the cleanliness and especially the amazing staff made our stay unforgettable. My children are already missing the hotel so much! For us, this was a truly beautiful experience, and if we travel to Egypt again, we would absolutely come back here. We can’t recommend this hotel enough! ❤️

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely wonderful stay at Serenity Alma Heights! We had such an amazing holiday at Serenity Alma Heights in Hurghada and couldn’t recommend it enough! The hotel itself is beautiful, clean, and well-maintained — the whole resort feels lovely, relaxing, and in a perfect location. The food was fantastic — so much variety, always fresh, and something delicious for everyone no matter what you’re in the mood for. We never got bored of the dining options! The animation team honestly made our holiday extra special — they work so incredibly hard from morning right through to evening, always full of energy, friendly, and ready to get everyone involved. The shows they put on were brilliant, really entertaining, and clearly put together with so much effort — they did an outstanding job keeping all the guests happy and having fun! A huge special thanks to Sami — he helped us out so much throughout our stay, went above and beyond for us, and was such a lovely, helpful person. Also, big credit to the boss of the animation team too — you’ve built such a great team, and it shows in everything you do! We also want to say a massive thank you for the beautiful birthday celebration you organised for my sister — it made her day so memorable and really added that extra special touch to our holiday. 💛 All the activities were great fun, the atmosphere was perfect, and we left with such happy memories. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️½ Serenity (Sun Ray) Alma Heights – Makadi Bay, Egypt Overall Rating: 4.5 Having visited Egypt three times now, I can honestly say this was my best experience so far, largely because of the exceptional service we received from the hotel team. 👨‍💼 Staff & Service – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ From the moment we arrived, the hotel staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. A special mention has to go to Ilhab, one of the hotel managers. I can genuinely say, without exaggeration, that he is probably one of the best and most hospitable managers I have come across. Every request I made to Ilhab was dealt with, and he went above and beyond to make sure my family were looked after, he handled it with incredible patience, resilience and professionalism. He personally kept in contact with me throughout our stay to make sure his team were providing us with the service we expected. Even when there were issues, he took responsibility and worked to resolve them. My room’s air conditioning was a major issue on the first night, but Ilhab managed to get it resolved by the following day. Ilhab, you’re a top guy and a top manager, below is my honest review. 🛏️ Rooms & Cleanliness – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️½ The rooms are modern, upgraded and well maintained. Cleanliness was not an issue at all. Room service was also good, with towels, an iron, bottled water and pretty much everything you would expect in a hotel room provided. The only major downside was the Wi-Fi. The wireless connection was extremely poor inside the rooms and in many other areas of the resort. The signal was much better around the lobby, but it wasn’t consistent throughout the complex. For a resort advertised as 5-star, I believe reliable Wi-Fi throughout the property should be a basic expectation nowadays. This was probably the biggest factor that stopped me from giving the resort a full 5 stars. 🏊 Pools & Aqua Park – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If you’re travelling with children, Alma Heights is very suitable for families. There are plenty of water facilities, including: * Aqua Park * Outdoor heated/warm pool * Children’s pool * Wave pool * Multiple pool areas * Pool bar and snack area The kids absolutely loved the facilities. We also had access to Alma Alpha, one of the sister hotels next door. It has a different atmosphere and, in my opinion, felt more suited to couples and adults, although it also has plenty of pool space and snack facilities. 🏖️ Beach – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The beach is not directly outside the main hotel, but getting there is very easy. A shuttle bus runs approximately every 10 minutes, and the journey takes around 2 minutes. Alternatively, you can walk there in around 10 minutes, although obviously you’re walking in the Egyptian heat! The beach is connected with the Alpha Alma side of the resort, where you can also access beach food and drinks. 🍽️ Food – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If you’re staying all-inclusive, you’ll have plenty of choice at breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is a good variety of food available, although, like many all-inclusive resorts, I personally found the buffet options started becoming repetitive after around three days. One important tip: book your three à la carte restaurants as soon as you arrive. They fill up quickly, so don’t leave it until later or you may be disappointed. 📍 Location – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The location is fine if your intention is to stay mainly within the resort. However, Alma Heights is one of the furthest resorts out in Makadi Bay, so local amenities and other areas are not particularly close. Expect around a 15–20 minute drive to reach more amenities. For families who simply want to arrive, relax and enjoy one resort without needing to go out every day, the location isn’t really an issue. 🎭 Entertainment – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️½ The entertainment team worked hard to keep both adults and children engaged throughout the day. The pool entertainment was particularly good, with activities such as foam parties, dancing and games helping to keep the energy going. The evening shows were decent and could perhaps be improved, but ultimately, my priority was making sure the kids were enjoying themselves — and they definitely did. The entertainment team genuinely tried their best, and that deserves recognition. Final Verdict I would rate Serenity Alma Heights 4.5 For families with children, I think this is a very good choice, particularly if you’re looking for a resort where you can spend most of your holiday without needing to leave. The pools, Aqua Park, children’s facilities, entertainment and overall family atmosphere are the biggest strengths. The biggest improvements needed are definitely Wi-Fi coverage and, to a lesser extent, food variety. Would I recommend it to families? Absolutely.

Fantastic Family Holiday – Highly Recommended especially the Serentiy Alma side. We had an amazing stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it, especially for families with children. Everything was kept extremely clean at all times. The pool areas and surrounding spaces were constantly being cleaned throughout the day, which really stood out to us. The staff were absolutely amazing – friendly, helpful and always working hard to make sure everyone was enjoying their stay. They couldn't do enough for us. The kids’ club was spot on and kept the children entertained. The funfair was also brilliant and a real highlight for the kids. There were so many food options available, with lots and lots of different choices, so there was something for everyone. The younger children loved the kids’ pool, while the older kids had a fantastic time on the big water slides. Another big plus was that the queues for the slides were not very long. Overall, we had a brilliant family holiday with plenty to keep the children entertained. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would happily return! The daily entertainment and party's that the animation team throw are amazing we particularly loved the pink party. In particular there was a young Lady called Adela and honestly she absolutely made our holiday that much more special, she was so lovely, friendly and just overall amazing. She came to lunch was us a few days, came out on a boat trip with our family and just honestly made our holiday that much more special. We actually cant wait to go back and see her especially x

The hotel's location was excellent, and the beach was close by. The atmosphere in the hotel was great; we received a warm welcome at reception and were offered a welcome drink. The bar and restaurant staff were very friendly and fun to joke around with. The entertainment team was also fantastic and sociable, making the activities ten times more enjoyable; they were great people to talk and laugh with. The rooms were spotless, and hygiene standards were strictly maintained at the pool as well. The restaurant was clean—both the buffet area and the poolside—and I loved how the housekeeping staff would create fun towel art on the bed. The room itself was excellent, and having a balcony was a real plus. Noise levels were low enough that I couldn't hear anything in my room or get woken up; generally, I wasn't bothered by noise at all. The service was outstanding—if something was dropped, they cleaned it up immediately, and they usually came right over whenever called. The facilities and overall value of the hotel were superb. I would definitely return to this hotel; we truly enjoyed our holiday. I made many new friends there and was really sad to have to go home.
