The resort is very well maintained. The green areas are immaculate, the grass is soft and perfectly trimmed, the trees and plants are cared for daily, and the pathways are always clean. In terms of the materials used, the resort feels like a strong 4‑star property. If we look strictly at the reception, the finishes, and the way the garden and trees are maintained, the level is easily 5 stars. It’s clear that a lot has been invested in the infrastructure and the care of the outdoor spaces. Housekeeping cleaned the room every day and the staff was attentive, but the bed linens and towels were visibly worn, with a grey‑brown tone typical of textiles used for too long. Still, every day we found a towel animal waiting for us, which our kids absolutely loved. One day we even took them from the pool saying, ‘Let’s go see what animal we have in the room today!’, and their excitement made up for the lack of fresh linens. The food presentation was excellent: a varied buffet, nicely arranged salads, well-prepared appetizers, and always something good to eat. I really appreciated that we had food and drinks available at any hour. The only inconvenience was that at the reception bar you couldn’t get bottled water, only glasses of filtered water, and in Egypt many tourists prefer bottled water. In our group, some digestive issues appeared: I had two evenings of discomfort, others had up to six. Access to the sea was difficult. You couldn’t enter from the beach because of the corals, and the only option was the pier, where you could go down the steps directly into the water. The problem was that there was nothing to hold onto or lean against while in the water, and if you wanted to stop or rest, you had to climb back onto the pier and enter again. For families with children or for those who are not strong swimmers, access to the sea was limited. At the pool we sometimes felt a bit of discomfort, as the level of hospitality wasn’t the same as in other areas of the resort. We tried to improve the situation by tipping the bartenders, and it helped to some extent, but they didn’t always have time to act like waiters for us, no matter how much we tipped. Service depended heavily on how busy the bar was. The swim-up bar in our pool was never open during the day, only once in the evening for an event. I would have loved for it to be open during the day so we could grab a drink directly from the water. There was another saltwater pool where the swim-up bar was open, but that was a relaxation area and children were not allowed. The activity program was varied and fun: beer pong, darts, mini golf, and amusing games like pushing a tire or running ‘horseback’ on a stick. The activities were enjoyable, though it would have been more motivating if there were prizes. The best part for us was the kids’ club: we left the children there at 10:00 and picked them up at 12:30, then again from 15:00 to 17:30. They had a great time and the staff was attentive and involved. Another issue we experienced was that the electricity went out several times, sometimes for a few hours. Every time the power was down, the air conditioning stopped completely, which made the room very uncomfortable in the heat. When the power finally came back, the AC unit started with a loud jolt that made us jump. This happened repeatedly during our stay. The WiFi was also a constant issue. Every time you locked your phone screen, the internet disconnected completely. To reconnect, you had to go into the WiFi settings, forget the network, and connect again just to trigger the pop‑up where you entered the room number and booking reference. We had to repeat this process every single time we picked up our phones. Considering we were traveling with small children who couldn’t do this themselves, I ended up reconnecting their devices constantly throughout the day. One aspect that significantly affected our stay was the insistence of the sellers, both inside the resort and in town. Approaches were frequent and sometimes aggressive, and if you refused or mentioned that online prices were better, reactions became visibly upset. The price of any product or service we wanted to buy was made up on the spot, based on the ‘evaluation’ of the customer. There was no clear pricing, and the amount asked varied depending on who was asking, which created discomfort and uncertainty. Because of these interactions, we ended up avoiding shops altogether to avoid ruining our day. In total, we (2adults 2 children) spent around 1200 USD on activities, transport, tips, and visas. Another unpleasant aspect was the access to the hotel next door, where the water slides were located. We initially thought entry was free for guests of our resort, but once we arrived, we were asked for a 30 USD voucher per person. It would have been helpful if this information had been communicated clearly from the beginning. For context, we paid around £10,000 for 6 adults and 3 children, and we booked the holiday during Black Friday 2025, so we expected a consistently high level of service throughout the stay. Overall, the resort is beautiful, clean, and well maintained, with friendly staff and many facilities for children. However, the constant pressure from sellers, the difficult access to the sea, the repeated power outages, the unstable WiFi, and several logistical issues influenced our experience. After this vacation, Egypt is no longer a destination we would place at the top of our list when choosing future holidays.

We stayed in this hotel for a week and we had a really great week. Starting by Ahmed at the reception that welcomed us and made sure we had everything we needed through our stay, always with a smile and a solution. Also Alhousani and Mohamed at the bay watch restaurant, they were both outstanding and always made sure we had everything we needed. Important to mention as well animation team, they were absolutely great and you could see they were organized and every activity was planned perfectly. Kudos to the mango festival that was really fun, and the musical quiz. I didn’t go but my mom was in the foam party and she really enjoyed. This team really knows how to make your evening fun, I usually never go to the animations shows and this year I went to all as they were always fun and it was always nice to watch! Also mention that all of them are super nice and make sure to always say hi to you and care about every single guest. I am super picky with food and at this hotel I must say was very good, I tried several different dishes and there were a lot of options. The snorkeling was amazing and the guys at the beach were super nice and friendly, they even showed us type of fishes we can see there and we’re always ready to help everyone, we saw a turtle in the first day, so make sure to look for it 🐢 If I had to mention one downside of this hotel is that there’s no service at the beach, so you need to go to the bar to order, personally we don’t care as is not that important for us. We will come back as we really had a hard time, would have stayed longer for sure! Thank you to everyone who really made it a memorable stay!

I have been to Egypt several times, and Serenity Alpha Beach is undoubtedly one of the best hotels I have stayed at so far. When it comes to the hotel services, the rooms are beautifully furnished, clean, and spacious. They look exactly like they do in the pictures. As for the staff, whenever there was an issue (which, fortunately, was not very often), they were always kind, helpful, and happy to give us advice. They genuinely tried to do everything they could to make sure we were satisfied. When it comes to the food, there was a really wide selection. However, some dishes were repeated quite often. For me, the breakfasts and dinners were definitely the best. The lunches were a little weaker, but the snack bar was a nice bonus and offered a bit of variety. I would also like to mention the entertainment programme and, especially, the animation team. During all the years I have been travelling to Egypt, this was undoubtedly the best and friendliest animation team I have ever experienced. They regularly came to check on us to make sure everything at the hotel was okay and that we were not having any problems. They also regularly invited us to both daytime and evening activities. However, if you did not want to participate, nobody ever pressured you, which is a big plus for people who are simply looking for a relaxing holiday. There were plenty of activities to choose from, including beer pong, darts, aqua aerobics, and many more. In the evenings, there were shows at the Theatre as well as programmes held directly at the hotel, so there was always something to do and we were never bored. A very special thank you goes to Joli, the Czech animator, who made the whole holiday even more enjoyable. Without her, it simply would not have been as much fun as it was. I am really happy that we had the chance to meet her. ❤️ Of course, a huge thank you also goes to the rest of the animation team, who managed to turn an ordinary holiday into an unforgettable one. ❤️
