We arrived home early hours of this morning after 2 weeks. 16 people, 8 adults and 8 kids from 16 - 9. Our honest review... Visa form handed out on the plane, 2 minutes to check and pay at Hurghada airport. 10 minute transfer. Check in easy, welcoming and friendly. Sat in lobby at a table, while they checked us all in. Took us to rooms and opened restaurant at 11pm. Rooms are dated and could do with some decorating/fixing and 3 out of 5 of our rooms had daily issues with aircon and power or keys not working. Beds were ok and the showers were tiny and very slow running water. I struggled to rinse the shower gel off. We sat by the wave pool every day which was perfect for us, near the bar, water park, Botanica restaurant and rooms. Botanica was a calm and relaxing restaurant with less food choice than Gusto but would prefer that to the absolute mayhem at Gusto. Queues to get in, people stood by you waiting for your table etc. Some entertainment by the wave pool, aqaugym, zumba, yoga, archery, volleyball, darts. Very loud though and odd music most of the day but the other pool was quieter and nicer to swim in. We spent a couple of afternoons on the beach, it is lovely there! Would definately recommend a visit. AI restaurant and lifeguards will find you beds. Waterpark slides were good fun and ran well by the friendly lifeguards. The kids made friends with them all. Outside of hotel We popped out to the strip outside the hotel a few times, the pestering to go into shops annoyed me but they are quite easy to say no to. Some nice looking restaurants but we didnt eat at any. Some nice shops. Food Themed evenings every night: seafood, tex-mex, Asian, oriental, Mediterranean, italian and Indian. The food was lovely every night, lots to choose from and all fresh and tasty. We ate at the Italian restaurant 3 times, the food and staff were amazing! You get so much food, would definately recommend. Sickness!! 15 out of the 16 of us were ill! 😪 All on Antanil and running back and forth to the rooms to use the loo...very handy to have our room so close, not sure what would have happened if there was a lift or stairs involved with the urgency that was involved! We were all vigilant with water intake, hand sterilisation and avoiding salads. I suspect it was the heat and excess fluids, different food etc. People ALL staff were amazing! Friendly, chatty, couldn't do enough for you. They work so hard all day. Honestly cannot praise them enough. Evening entertainment The entertainment was not for us, the alchemy (show area) was very warm and humid and most shows were the same people dancing the same dance to different music. Mini disco was great for the kids but repetitive. Excursions, We did the Dolphin adventure trip. 30 USD per person, booked through the hotel. Trip was 6 hours. Didn't see dolphins as there were lots of boats chasing them. Snorkeling was great; good instructors and safety but we had several divers with us so there was a lot of waiting around docked, doing nothing. Wouldn't do it again. Overall, we loved the holiday. The people working there were the best we have encountered on previous holidays. Lovely hotel but we were so put off by illness, we would not return to Egypt.

Before I start this review I really wanted to give it a 5* as we have had the best Holiday & we would return just a little few things that have made me rate it 4* We arrived at sinbad at around 9.30pm it was so hectic but they had put late night tea on for late arrivals that was nice touch to arrive to . Our room was across by the pool bar . Walking into the room I don't think I've ever been more disappointed in a room on any holiday I've been on . The size of it for 3 of us wasnt great. My daughter is 13 and the camp style bed wasn't ideal she stuggled to sleep on it. There was no storage we had to live out of suitcases for 2 weeks it was chaos. The bathroom was that small you had to stand in it to close the door ....but in saying all that the room was only to sleep in (unless you get ill🫣) Now on to the positives After the initial shock arrival the next morning with sun on the pool made everything better . The pool is beautiful. The aqua park is brilliant. If you don't mind we're you sit you can always get sunbeds in the aqua park there is a bit of sunbed wars at the quiet pool . The staff in this hotel are best staff I've ever had . They work so hard . Are so welcoming . The guys who work at bar & life guards at quiet pool were fantastic. There was a few 💩 in pool during our 2 weeks stay and mohammed and the lads were fantastic trying to sort the situation. The food is really good , fussy eaters even found something. The 3 onsite restaurants a Asian theme , Italian & Lebanese were all really good too. And you can use them as many times as you like during your stay . We never went the entertainment as we went out some nights down to marina or local area as there is also lots going on outside hotel too . I was sad my holiday came to a end . Like I said I wanted to give it a 5* but the room and the pool being closed 3 times due to 💩 knocked a star off. That being said I would certainly return.

Good family hotel, but is it really 4-star? I never book a hotel without checking TripAdvisor first, so it’s only fair I leave a review! I’ll keep this fair and balanced because there are definitely some very good things about this hotel, but also some things that let it down. The good stuff We had a family suite with a balcony — two very spacious bedrooms, with two double beds in one for the kids. The rooms were clean, but definitely a little dated, with marks on some walls and doors etc. (see photos). I’m not normally a fan of all-inclusive (but school holiday prices and cost needs must 😂), but I have to say the food was really good. I’m Italian and love my food, so I’m probably quite fussy! Every night there was something we could all enjoy, and the kids actually tried loads of different food rather than living on pizza and chips 😂. Food was always hot and plentiful. Breakfast was as expected — eggs, pastries, fresh pancakes etc. The salad selection wasn’t great and the fruit wasn’t particularly good either. Puddings looked lovely but somehow all seemed to taste the same! We tried the Italian and Asian à la carte restaurants. The service was brilliant, but the food was disappointing. Yes, I know… what do you expect, you’re in Egypt and you’re going to an Italian restaurant! 😂 The staff were generally lovely and friendly, although there were a couple with a questionable attitude. One barman and I had a small debate after he left my drinks at the opposite end of the bar rather than where I had actually ordered them. Nothing major, but noticeable. The pool areas were clean and the sunbeds comfortable. There are several areas, so despite the usual sunbed wars 😂, we never actually struggled. We wanted to be near the slides and found a lovely little section at the bottom of one which felt almost private. Be aware there are jusy not enough toilet locations, whilst they were always spotless, it was always a fair walk to get to one depending on where you sit in the pool area. The beach is gorgeous. Water warm and crystal clear. You probably need to get there early for a sunbed directly on the sand facing the sea, but later on they’ll put beds under the palm trees, giving you a lovely mix of shade and sun. It’s literally a 5 min walk across the road from the hotel so very easy. The location is also good. Walk out of the hotel and you’re straight onto a strip with shops and restaurants. Perfect for an evening wander when it’s not 40 degrees and you can tolerate the constant “Come into my shop!” 😂. We also hired a private speedboat for the day and visited White Island and Orange Bay — absolutely stunning and we even saw dolphins. Around £200 for five people and one of the best days of the holiday. The not-so-good The hotel is HUGE. We asked if our mum could have a room close to ours and were told she would be on the same floor. Great, we thought. In reality, she was about a 10-minute walk away! So if you’re travelling as a group and want rooms together, definitely clarify exactly what “close” means. Our biggest issue was unfortunately Pharaoh’s Revenge 😂. From day two, all three adults and both kids had constant diarrhoea. We were extremely careful — bottled water for brushing teeth, no ice etc. — but we all succumbed. Nobody was vomiting or felt particularly ill, but it definitely takes the edge off your holiday. And then there are the drinks… Quite honestly, the worst alcoholic drinks I’ve ever had at an all-inclusive. Apart from a few beers, I couldn’t enjoy an evening drink, which for me is a big negative. The main restaurant is also very much a tale of two halves. Inside is busy, noisy and cramped and feels like a canteen. Outside is much nicer — bright and modern — and although there’s no air conditioning, I’d take it every time! Overall We did have a lovely holiday. Great slides,(for kids and adults and no long queues) really good food, lovely beach, clean hotel, good clean pool areas and a good location. But for me, the dated rooms, awful drinks, disappointing à la carte restaurants and sheer size of the hotel stop it feeling like a proper 4-star experience. 3.5 stars feels fair to me. Would I return? NO. Would I recommend it? I think most people would have a good time here but I can imagine there are better but perhaps that comes a higher cost or booking earlier to get something a bit higher end. And finally… go and meet Diana, the hotel’s resident pelican. She’s sassy, she’s cute and probably deserves her own TripAdvisor review! 😂 A few top tips Take euros and/or some small Egyptian pound notes. Everyone wants a tip! And, to be fair, it isn’t a lot and the staff do rely on it. It does wind me up a little though because you barely get the chance to sit down before someone is expecting a tip 😂. I tipped our cleaner a few times and basically retired after that. You do get some lovely towel art in return though! 💊 Do yourself a pharmacy haul. Egyptian pharmacies are brilliant and lots of things are available over the counter that aren’t in the UK. Things like skincare, including tretinoin, can be very cheap. Just be sensible — there’s a reason some medicines are prescription-only in the UK. I have a medical background and saw people buying medications without really understanding what they were taking. If you do buy anything, make sure you know exactly what it is and whether it’s appropriate for you. And if Pharaoh’s Revenge gets you, pharmacies commonly sell treatments such as Antinal (nifuroxazide). I’m not saying everyone should take antibiotics — definitely check that any medicine is suitable for your age, health and circumstances, other than my 12 year old we all had to take it. Want to see the pyramids? Plan it BEFORE you go. I’ve seen them before, so we didn’t go this time, but you can fly to Cairo and the earlier you book, the cheaper. Alternatively, it’s a 6+ hour bus journey. No thank you! 😂 DON’T get the hotel/holiday transfer from the airport. The airport is really close to the hotel, but our transfer involved sitting around waiting for ages. At one point the driver apparently told people we could be waiting a couple of hours before leaving the airport! A few of us ended up having a rather heated debate with the easyJet rep. Just book a private taxi before you go — it’s very cheap and absolutely worth it. 🛍️ Don’t be afraid to ignore the shopkeepers. The constant “Come into my shop!” can be a lot. I spoke to a lovely Egyptian guy about it and even he said the mentality is crazy because they don’t realise it actually puts people off going into the shops. Just keep walking and imagine you have music playing 😂. It isn’t rude and they won’t be offended. If you’re LGBTQ+, just be aware. I wouldn’t describe it as particularly gay-friendly. I went with my partner and, of course, everyone assumed we were brothers 😂. God knows who they thought the kids belonged to! We did see a few couples who I suspected were gay, but definitely not somewhere that you can be at ease, just respect the culture and law and you will be fine. I prefer lightly more liberal countries when I go on holiday but that’s of course purely personal. Do White Island by speedboat. We hired a private boat for five of us and it was fantastic. Orange Bay was beautiful too, and seeing dolphins was the icing on the cake. Overall, go with the right expectations and I think you’ll have a good holiday. Just don’t expect everything to feel like a 4-star hotel because it doesn’t! And remember: Diana the pelican is a 5-star experience. 😂
