Pickalbatros Aqua Blu Resort

The room is exceptionally clean.Food was excellent with many choices.The Waterpark is amazing.I had a wonderful stay at the hotel and truly enjoyed moment. We will come back again

Just returned today from this hotel. All in all it was a pleasant hotel, its very big but just right after 2 days you get your bearings. Was greeted at reception and a golf buggy took my family and i and luggage to our room. Very friendly staff and service. The room was very basic actually and i was a bit disappointed. Dated wooden sliding doors, old tiles that need replacing it really wasn't as good as advertised. The beds were ridiculously uncomfortable and i ended up with a cricked neck! The tiles all around the hotel and near pools are SO SLIPPERY! BE CAREFUL AND WEAR SHOES. The slides were greated. Manned by life guards at all times. Some complexes have their own private pools with manned life guards, which was nice. No more than 5 or 6 families using the pools and right on the door step which was lush! Lots to do for the kids, tons of slides and the use of aqua park next door is a great touch with some good slides! In the evening there were bumper cars, entertainment and the VR room however as noted on another review below me the vr room was limited with only a few machines working and only for the younger kids about 10 and below. Food wise.. yeah okay, breakfast was good fresh juice, donuts waffles and sauces. Tons of salads at dinner and lunch, a burger bar, and pool bar with snacks. Yes we did end up with egypt belly but it was controlable and only because i think its a diet change, heavy oils and spices just irritate your gut. The bakery was lovely! Cocktails were watered down, i didnt drink much anyway because it was ridiculously hot. People approaching you every day selling excursions, spa treatments, massages, beauty treatments. Really annoying ( PRO TIP: tell them your leaving the next day) i booked my excursions via the viator app so much cheaper. Our room smelt strongly of petrol! It was really concerning and we didnt want to sleep in there on the 2nd night i called reception via the phone in the room and they sent someone to clean the air con, it still stunk super bad but it gradually faded and i think we figured it was the cleaning products they were using like a varnish / polish on the floor prehaps ? But yeah very concerning. All in all not a 5 star, 4 star at best but definitely get your moneys worth and id go back for sure! Its about 25 mins from airport, 25 mins from soho square and about 10 to old market. Recomend visiting both! Also! Book the neverland show at aqua park at the reception, they pick you up in a bus and provide a 3 course meal and the hotel is just UNREAL! a half decent evening out ive inclided pictures from that hotel/ show and aqua park also

I stayed at the hotel with my 12 year old son for 4 nights The positives: The hotel is very clean and well maintained. Although you can see some 'behind the scenes' building work and rubbish storage as the areas are often left open It's basically 2 resorts in one. Not sure how everything works but there didn't appear to be any restrictions between the Aqua Blue and Aqua Park. We walked between them to use the water parks/buffet/snack bars. The a la carte restaurants are in the Aqua Park and you book at the Blue reception Good water park with some really big slides The negatives: The water park might advertise a ridiculous amount of water slides but the majority of them are small kids slides - there are about 10 good slides across the 2 parks, and the opening times for them seem to be arbitrary. Unless it's because there aren't enough lifeguards to man all slides at once? Also, all slides and ALL POOLS close at 6pm! Which is crazy. It's still red hot in Egypt at 6pm. At least half of the VR machines are out of service, and the majority of the ones that aren't are only for use by kids 10 years old and younger. I asked when they'll be repaired and the staff member just laughed. There are lots of drinks machines but no zero options - all drinks are full sugar unless you go to the bar and ask. Seems like a small thing but it's frustrating The room is very basic but functional. They definitely need updating. I had to wrestle our wardrobe to get it open every time I wanted an item of clothing but it was fine for a few days, I wouldn't have wanted to stay there for a week. The worst thing is the food. I've had worse but not much - there was very little that was edible. We actually had McDonald's twice and braved Egyptian street food once because we couldn't find anything worth eating (there are only so many chips you can eat). As far as all inclusive hotels go - and I've stayed in a LOT of them - it was awful I'd only recommend the place if you get a bargain deal and are happy to eat chips for a week

Everthing was absolutely perfect.The staff were friendly and helpful.Food was amazing.Big thanks to Chef Mustafa and his team.The hotel itself is huge,with a massive park that has everthing you could need. We had an amazing time and will definetely come back again

We arrived to hotel only for 2 nights we had nice and clean room ,, Aqua park is cool.. Servise are not happy they wait for tip after they feels better.. Food 🥘 is like in Hospital after operation…NO TASTE at all.. we had like 35C they givu small Cup with water all inclusive.. You need to drink by bar min 5 cups.. I advise you sta in this hotel only If you have no choice..
