Rixos Sharm El Sheikh

We had a fantastic stay at the Rixos and would definitely recommend the hotel. The rooms are spacious, modern and lovely, with really good air conditioning. Housekeeping is frequent and to a very good standard, and we particularly loved that the minibar in the room is constantly replenished with a great selection of snacks and drinks. One of the biggest positives for us was the availability of sun loungers. There are plenty of loungers surrounding all of the different pools, so there is never a rush to get up early and reserve one. Even if you arrive at the pool later in the afternoon, you can still find a good spot, which makes the whole pool experience much more relaxed. The evening shows are another highlight. A huge amount of effort clearly goes into the performances, from the choreography to the incredible costumes, and the shows are genuinely amazing. Our only wish would be that they lasted a little longer, as they were so enjoyable! The animation team are also fantastic. They are all really friendly, enthusiastic and make a real effort to get guests involved in activities such as football, volleyball and other games, while never making you feel pressured to participate. There is also a great variety of food and drinks available throughout the resort, with plenty of choice to suit different tastes. The à la carte restaurants do require reservations, and some cannot be booked online, meaning you have to make the reservation through Guest Relations. You can also only have up to three reservations at any one time, so this is something worth being aware of when planning your meals. Our only real recommendation for improvement would be to have menus available around the pools for both food and drinks. It can sometimes be unclear what drinks are available when you're relaxing by the pool, so having a menu to look through would make things much easier. Overall, we had a brilliant stay at the Rixos. From the spacious rooms and excellent service to the fantastic entertainment, friendly animation team, plentiful sun loungers and wide variety of food and drinks, there is so much to enjoy. We would definitely recommend the hotel and would happily return!

Amazing time at this hotel. Food is really good, really nice to have the option of all the different restaurants. The coffee bar has been one of our favourite things. Animation team are great - lots of different activities throughout the day and very friendly. We would definitely return.

My husband and I booked the Rixos as it was our first holiday abroad without our children and it did not disappoint! It was 5 star quality and service from the minute we entered the building (which was late at night). We were upgraded to a deluxe room which was an added bonus and stayed in room 3028 which overlooked the Oasis pool and was peaceful and tranquil. We pretty much had a swim up room as could walk out to the pool, from our room which was an added bonus. The food is amazing here and the staff as so polite and will go out of their way to make your time here special from birthday balloons and decorating the room to cleaning your sunglasses round the pool. We only stayed around the Oasis pool as this was close to our room and the bar staff were so attentive (special shout out to Mohamed and Keroles who never forgot our order and brought us drinks without even asking for them) plus it was very chilled in this area of the hotel. We did walk to the beach front every day and there was lots of sun-beds available in all areas of the pools so you don’t need to get up early to reserve one. We tried scuba diving down by the pier which was lovely and there were lifeguards here too that put our mind at ease. Booking in for the restaurants was easy online or you could do it in person at certain times throughout the day. The Mangal and the Turkish restaurants were outstanding and the food was delicious. Amr and Ahmed were really friendly at the Mangal and cooked the food at your table to your liking. The food in the Palm restaurant was equally as impressive and there was a variety of food to suit everyone. We really enjoyed the beach bar at night and Abdaliha kept us watered with drinks. The ice creams at the Movenpick and the coffee at Coffee Planet were delicious and the staff in there were so polite and smiley. To be honest, all the staff were just so friendly. They work so hard and were so grateful when we tipped them. The evening entertainment was great and there was something for everyone’s tastes each night. We were so impressed and loved it so much that we are looking at booking again next year and bringing some family with us too!

We booked an 8-night stay at Rixos, but unfortunately the experience was far from what we expected. The service was very poor, and the staff at reception were not helpful when we asked for assistance. One of the biggest problems was that despite staying for 8 nights, we could not get reservations at the hotel’s restaurants. We asked the reception team to help us, but they did not provide any useful assistance. The cleanliness of the room was also disappointing and did not meet the standards we expected from a Rixos hotel. Overall, we were very unhappy with our stay. The service, cleanliness, and organization were not satisfactory. I definitely do not recommend this hotel, and I would not come back again
