The positives first: The grounds are beautiful, with lovely palm trees that were kept immaculate every day. Pools are lovely and clean! Friendly staff overall. Ayman from the bar and Karam entertainment are our favourite. There are plenty of sunbeds around the pools, and they are honestly the most comfortable loungers we’ve ever used at a hotel. My worry on holiday is having to struggle for a sunbed and you won’t here , the beaches and the pool is full of very comfy beds and umbrellas. Anytime of day! Amazing! The swim-up bar is lovely too just a shame the kids jump in the pool and splash rather than this be a relaxing area. The activity pool is for that. We personally liked the quiet Pool as nice to relax. Does depend on the guests using it as some days guests would play their own music and kids would run riot and jump off the rocks into the quiet pool which was really annoying. Sometimes life guards would sort it, Sometimes they ignore it. Bad parenting and selfish behaviour spoilt it some days for other guests . Entertainment First week two of the young men were friendly and enthusiastic, although sadly we hardly saw one of them after the first few days and then the week after Nardar left too both boys were great , however after a few days everyone was sacked including Nardar (ironically the review from Soss below - they joined August and wrote only about the entertainment team so I think it’s them seeking revenge) Unfortunately, one member of the entertainment team the first week we were there Ragda (I believe that was her name), was rude and unapproachable. She struggled to organise games, people regularly walked away because they didn’t know what was happening, and got snappy with guests. It felt like she didn’t want to be there or like anyone. Very very miserable girl but she’s now been sacked aswell. Turn over for entertainment staff not good. The new entertainment team arrived on our second week and I praise karam he is very good and fun and gives 100% ! The entertainment manager also very good. Food We aren’t fussy eaters, but much of it was cold, bland and lacking flavour. The buffet restaurant was so busy as only one restaurant open for two hours in the evening . People were constantly pushing past each other, long queues so meals never felt relaxing i didn’t enjoy going down it was hectic. I’d recommend pavilio a two minute walk away for great drinks , cocktails and food great price! Drinks The all-inclusive drinks selection was disappointingl! If you enjoy cocktails , don’t expect much choice. There were about three cocktail options - all gin. no Piña Coladas, sex on beach , woo woo , Blue Lagoons, peach schnapps-based drinks, sparkling wine, cava or sangria. I love a wine but the all inclusive wine was watered down, not good. Selling One of the negatives was the constant selling. Every day we were approached several times around the pool to buy massages, facials or , eat at restaurants , have a hair cut , buy a photo or excursion even a tattoo! I appreciate these staff are simply doing their jobs and rely on sales, so I genuinely felt sorry for them. However, when you’re trying to relax, being approached several times a day becomes annoying. Housekeeping The room was nice and spacious very happy with room , but there were a few details that shouldn’t happen in a three or four -star hotel. When we arrived, the balcony table still had dried-on food stuck all over it. It only took a wipe to clean and I did this , but guests shouldn’t have to clean up after previous occupants. There was also no shampoo in the room, which I think is a basic expectation for an all-inclusive hotel. Every day the first week the beds were made with the duvet cover back to front and inside out , with the open end left by the pillows instead of at the foot of the bed. Also we sometimes a towel short - they made up our room so would have seen how many people there are. Some people got amazing towel displays we didn’t - I think it depends who you get . Beds comfy enough and pillows very comfy. We slept well. Air con is perfect !!! Shuttle The complimentary shuttle buses were good. You can go Nama bay, soho square, old Market , two beaches for free- The beaches pleasant for a few hours - coral bay is a MUST amazing snorkelling - we would recommend an afternoon slot as morning is hectic we had reserved our places but still ended up standing on the bus because it appeared some guests simply boarded an earlier bus instead. Everyone pushed to get on first, it was a challenge to get off the bus when we arrived as everyone was pushing to get on - again the clientele were the issue - a better system of checking reservations would make it much fairer and less stressful. This wasn’t really the drivers’ fault, but it could definitely be organised better by ticking people on the bus they booked. Or perhaps different cultures could adopt the English mannerism of queuing to make it just nicer for everyone and not a battle ? WiFi Was good throughout day by pool and reception , lagged in the evening in the room but as expected when everyone is using it. Did have to frequently get a new WiFi code from reception to be able to use it . Overall There are definitely positives here, especially the beautiful grounds, comfortable pool area, rooms , staff and shuttle buses. But with everything we have said above , as an all inclusive guest we would rank this a 3.5 star. For us, having experienced other four star hotels in Egypt at a similar price point, there are better options available. TOP TIP - don’t use Indrive for taxis this happened to a few people- read the reviews online our easyJet rep recommended it and told everyone to download it BUT - we had a very scary experience where he wouldn’t let us leave unless we gave him four times the agreed fee on the app! It went from 3 dollar to 20dollar for a five minute trip - Everyone just loves to scam a British tourist in Egypt - be on guard !
Second year coming here just because we had such amazing time last year we booked as soon as we went home. Everything about hotel is just lovely staff and entertainment could not be anymore accomadting to us all. I have had spa treatments (facial and massage) by the wonderful Hana, I would highly reccomend St George we are here with age range of people and children and each of us have had a brilliant time from start to finish. We are sad to go home but will definitely be back!!
Everything about this hotel has been amazing! The level of service from laundry, room service, salon, massages, facials and pedicures, breakfast, lunch, dinner and the whole service overall has been excellent. My full body massage and Indian head massage was done by Ghada. She was lovely and friendly. The prices are very good too. I would highly recommend.
Great shave with sabor!! Really great service
The whole experience was amazing, would definitely recommend the full treatment. 2 hours at a really good price. Eyman was so lovely. I felt very looked after.
