May Beach

Great hotel, kind of boutique hotel just a bit larger, outside the crowded Rethymon but easy to reach from there. Nice garden and pool, Very clean. Lovely people, seems to me it is one big family, all with passion for the hotel and their guests. Good buffet in the morning and evening, we had half-pension. Drinks are not to expensive. They made a path through the dry river to reach the beach, beach is then only a few minutes away.

We ended up at the May Beach Hotel due to our original hotel being cancelled 10 days before. However, the May Beach hotel was perfect, the family ran business made sure our stay was everything we hoped for. We had a lovely room, decorated in a modern style with a comfortable bed and plenty of storage space. The bathroom was on the small side but we managed. We were all inclusive, the food was excellent, always plenty to choose from throughout the day. The drinks menu was what you would expect for all inclusive, however the cocktails were disappointing as served in regular glass with no fruit or decoration which would have been nice considering we were on holiday. Be aware that all-inclusive drinks are only served until 11pm and after that you have to pay. The location was perfect for the local village, which was a 10 minute walk, where there was plenty of restaurants, bars and shops. A visit to the old town was either a cab or bus ride away and we visited this area twice. The beach was just down a short pathway and easy to locate. The family were always present and worked along side their friendly and helpful staff to deliver excellent service and a feel good vibe. On the whole we had a quiet, relaxing and enjoyable stay at the May Beach Hotel.

Lovely hotel, special requests granted. Very easy check in very helpful & friendly personally escorted us to our room a very special touch. Huge room, very clean and comfortable beds. Staff very friendly, calm and clean all areas. Well maintained gardens and gym area. Food is plentiful. Some cocktails and coffee not included in all inc but labled. Outside hotel maintained with 2 beautiful water features. Pleasant relaxing stay will return. Every day the front desk are so pleasant and friendly, always a friendly good morning. Anything you ask they go way beyond with there local knowledge. Fantastic place. Only 1 negative the afternoon filter coffee is barely warm served in flasks.

Stunning hotel, big and calm pool area, clean rooms, very helpful and friendly staff and delicious food thats never the same, lots of options! Highly recommend! Travel agent arranged a 1 week stay at this hotel. Was impressed by everything, staff, facilities, room quality & food. It's rated 3 star, which is surprising considering the above. Room was very comfortable with really effective air conditioning. Pool area was excellent, clean and well maintained. There was a well equipped gym area. The beach was a short walk away as was a supermarket and local shops & restaurants. Would highly recommend to any traveller type, particularly families with small children.
