We are just finishing up our 2 week stay at this hotel. Still currently here. Last year it was the Kos HV so this year we wanted to try Rhodes. Arrival was fine - receptionists were great (Tygo I believe was great with my wife he told her she looked 20 odd when she was in her 40s so she appreciated him) the room was unavailable so we went for food. There was only one food van open so we went there. I had a salad bowel which was nice. We grabbed some drinks too from the pool. We stayed in the quiet relaxed area (thankfully). We have a first floor room with a view of the pool. The room itself was sufficient - the first two days we were unsure if the air con was working so I asked and it was sorted (it definitely wasn’t working), and the room became noticeably cooler! The second night we didn’t sleep well as the heat was uncomfortable but after that night the temperature was better. Lots of ants but none in our room. Every night we hunted for insects - found lizards, Beatles, crickets, not issues with them. Even saw a praying mantis too. The showers were fine - occasionally during the night they leaked. We (wife and I) didn’t sleep too great during our stay but that probably wasn’t because of the room or bed. Room was kept clean but unsure how clean it was. I checked under our bed which definitely had not been cleaned underneath for a while. Occasionally we had to ask for coffee and milk as it wasn’t replenished - no big issue however. First few days - pretty relaxed getting beds - although if you want to stay at the activities pool get there earlier as they go quicker and you have to walk across the two sites. We actually started walking in the main road outside the complex as it was quicker. After a few days - noticed more people getting up and getting the beds earlier. Again no real issue we always got two beds at least. Hotel itself looks ok - in certain areas it needs improvements - the toilets by the relaxed area were pretty bad - urinals out of order, poop left in the actual seats and the lid closed - luckily didn’t use there much. Other toilets were better but one thing that stood out was the lack of locks on them around the pool - so if the little ones went in there you would want to stand next to the door to ensure nobody entered. Some of the automatic hand sanitisers lacked any sanitiser all holiday which was a shame. Pools good - although had debris in. If you search you will notice things - like stains and algae in the drainage areas, broken tiles. Having said that in the activity pool there was a light hanging off the side of the pool so I reported it and within a day or two it appeared fixed. One issue we didn’t like were being able to replace our towels every two days or so! With kids this is no good! Food drinks and sun cream all in one day and then having another day or two with the same towels. Entertainment was fine - HV reps great with kids albeit repetitive. One of the reps we recognised from Kos - very talented singer. Overall no issues here - kids programs always repetitive. Ours did the body boards, the inflatable course, the inflatable balls, we did the pool bingo, pool party and foam party. All were great. No issues! There is also adult pool activities like water polo and Carter was very amusing with this. Evening entertainment very kids oriented which was fine - kids got involved and went up a few times on stage. Food at the hotel was decent - we went to three al la carts - all three very disappointing. We all had burgers in the American one and all of them we left. Practically untouched. Mine were undercooked and pink (acceptable for some but if frozen then I wouldn’t accept), Italian was nicest, Greek was most disappointing. The break and dinner buffets totally acceptable - no issues The pizza is the best food there - the man is a legend and worked constantly to get beautiful pizzas out for the queue of people! Puddings were fantastic too! Morning coffees always appreciated and the workers here against worked hard to get coffee made for the queue of guests!! The bread was always great too! Salads were fab! Never eaten so much salad on holiday which is nice! Hardly touched the bacon and sausages etc. Drinks were standard - I don’t drink alcohol so mainly water and coffee and some fizzy drinks - I’d maybe suggest brining your own squash as I am not a fan of fizzy drinks or kids having them and drinks are limited for kids. We had two trips planned and ordered the lunches from the hotel - although not really for us (no sandwiches etc just fruit bars and rice cakes etc with water and fruit juice) they were still appreciated. Overall - this is 4 star at a push - Did we enjoy it? Yes! Did the kids enjoy it? Yes!! Would we return - yes no issues for us. Maybe other issue is there isn’t a lot to do around the area - this is ok if you plan to stay in the hotel!
Great staff experience from the Operational Managers, Stavros and Antonis. For the day to day experience, Dimitris in the Deluxe Pool Bar was a great host and works hard to keep all happy. The buggy boys France & Co work hard too, transporting between the two sites. Many thanks !! Jamie
I had an amazing full body massage and facial with Vicky, it was utter bliss! Such a calm space and she was a fantastic therapist. I would totally recommend taking time out of your budy holiday to take some time to relax and unwind! Thank you so much ❤️
Food is 10/10 quality not quantity although there was a fantastic selection not as much as some other large scale hotels, but that suited me perfectly. I had a fantastic facial from Vicky in the spa who had a lovely soft touch. Rose who worked in the Olive buffet was fantastic and very friendly and sweet.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing Family Holiday – Highly Recommended We had an incredible stay at this resort from start to finish. Check‑in was smooth, with prosecco on arrival, friendly staff, and golf‑cart porter service that made everything effortless. Our upgraded swim‑up room was beautiful, spacious, and came with a four‑piece bathroom and a stunning view. 🏖️ Resort & Facilities The relax pool was peaceful and never crowded — even at 09:00 there was no rush for sunbeds. A short walk took us to the activity pool, pirate ship, lazy river, and Olive restaurant, making it easy to switch between quiet time and fun. The pirate ship and slides were a big hit, though some water features could use a little maintenance. The park at night was perfect for our little one, even with the entertainment being slightly loud. 🍽️ Food & Drink Food throughout the resort was fantastic. The children’s self‑service section was a brilliant touch, and there were plenty of options all day thanks to the food truck, snack bar, ice cream station, and swim‑up bar. Staff were consistently friendly and respectful. Our son loved ordering his own drinks — especially the Spider‑Man mocktail — which made him feel so grown up at just four years old. The Italian restaurant was our favourite evening, with excellent food and the option to add wine to the experience. Late dining meant we could still grab ice cream afterwards, and again, staff were wonderful. 🎉 Entertainment & HV Crew Entertainment was fantastic, with activities running all day and night. The pool party was a standout moment, especially with the crew joining in. The HV team — Daisy, Ruby, Lucy and the rest — were exceptional. They remembered our son everywhere they saw him and made his last afternoon at the club truly special when he was the only child there. 🛍️ Local Area & Helpful Staff The gentleman in the local shop was very helpful, giving great advice on nearby beaches. The welcome brief was informative, and throughout our stay the staff couldn’t do enough for us. 💆 Spa & Departure The spa was a lovely experience, though slightly expensive. On checkout, we were offered a shower room for an hour at no extra charge, plus porter service for our luggage — a thoughtful touch that made departure stress‑free. ✈️ Travel Note Rhodes Airport could benefit from more seating and charging points, as it was very busy. 🌟 Overall This was an amazing holiday with outstanding service, friendly staff, great food, and brilliant entertainment. We would highly recommend this resort to families looking for a mix of relaxation and fun. We left with wonderful memories and will definitely return.
