Atlantica Holiday Village Rhodes

We have just had the most amazing two weeks at Blue Sea Holiday Village, and honestly, we couldn’t fault it! From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel so welcome. The staff are an absolute credit to the hotel — every single person works so hard to make sure guests have the best possible holiday. A special mention has to go to Alexandra on reception, who was absolutely lovely, so kind, caring and helpful. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and she always went out of her way to help with a smile. People like Alexandra really make a difference and make your stay extra special. The pools and water parks are fantastic, with so much to keep the children entertained. Seeing the kids so happy, having the time of their lives and making such lovely holiday memories is what it’s all about! There is a brilliant atmosphere throughout the resort, and there is something for everyone to enjoy. The food was delicious, with such a great variety to choose from. There was plenty of choice, so you could always find something you loved. The whole holiday experience was just fantastic from start to finish. I also want to give a huge shout-out to the cleaning staff, who are absolutely amazing. Our room was cleaned daily, with fresh sheets, and everything was always lovely and clean. You can really see how hard everyone works behind the scenes to keep the resort looking its best. Every member of staff, from reception to housekeeping, the restaurant team and everyone working around the pools, deserves so much credit. What really stands out is how friendly, welcoming and helpful everyone is. It’s clear that the staff genuinely care about making sure their guests have a wonderful time, and that makes all the difference. We have had the best two weeks, made some wonderful memories and come away feeling so happy. We honestly didn’t want our holiday to end! Thank you to all the amazing staff at Blue Sea Holiday Village for making our stay so special. You should all be incredibly proud of yourselves and the hard work you put in every single day. I would recommend this hotel in a heartbeat to families looking for a brilliant holiday. If you’re thinking of booking, do it — you won’t be disappointed!

Atlantica Holiday Village Rhodes – Unfortunately, Not Worthy of 5 Stars We spent 7 days at this hotel. The property itself is attractive and visually well-maintained, our room was pleasant, and the food was decent. Unfortunately, the service and the way guests are treated fall well below the standards expected of a 5-star hotel. Our biggest disappointment was the reception staff and their lack of response to reported problems. The TV did not work throughout our stay, despite several requests for someone to fix it. This was particularly frustrating during heavy rain, when going outside was difficult and watching TV would have helped us pass the time. We also encountered cockroaches in our room. After reporting this, we were told that housekeeping would deal with the problem, but the cleaner had not even been informed. She only learned about the situation from us and helped disinfect the area where the insects had apparently been found. On top of that, we had no hot water for almost two full days. This was finally resolved only after several more requests. In a hotel of this category, such issues should be treated as a priority, and guests should not have to repeatedly ask for basic assistance. Upon arrival, we had to wait 10 hours for our room. I understand that hotels have fixed check-in times, so the waiting time itself is not our main complaint. However, we noticed that British guests arriving at similar times received their rooms much sooner. This gave us the impression that guests were not being treated equally, even though everyone should be treated according to the same rules. The hotel is clearly geared towards British tourists. Most guests were British, and entertainment, activities and communication were conducted almost exclusively in English. I particularly would not recommend this hotel to families with children who do not speak English. The entertainers expected children to understand English in order to participate in many activities, which can leave them feeling excluded. In my opinion, entertainers should be able to engage children regardless of their nationality or language skills. The evening entertainment and so-called “show time” were also disappointing. Almost all performances were aimed at children, mainly British children, with very little entertainment for adults, despite our stay being outside the main holiday season. The hotel has the space and facilities to offer a more varied programme and should also consider the needs of adult guests and visitors from countries other than the UK. I would, however, like to praise the staff members who appeared to be from the Philippines. They were by far the friendliest, most genuinely welcoming and helpful employees we encountered. They left the best impression on us and demonstrated what genuine hospitality should look like. We are not the kind of people who look for problems or complain about everything. When we go on holiday, we want to relax, not spend our time repeatedly visiting reception and asking for basic issues to be resolved. Unfortunately, problems kept arising one after another, and our requests were often met with little or no action. To sum up: an attractive hotel with pleasant rooms and decent food, but the service, problem-solving and treatment of guests fall well below the expected 5-star standard. We expect equal treatment regardless of nationality, prompt assistance and entertainment that caters to different guests. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend Atlantica Holiday Village Rhodes to anyone expecting a genuinely high standard of service. In our opinion, this hotel does not deserve 5 stars.

Fantastic family holiday with our 3 year old and baby! The staff were lovely, particularly at the buffet restaurant. Rose, Kiki and Tasso were so warm and happy all the time, my baby loved all the attention from them. Our room was in the relax area, the rooms are very sound proof there was a baby next door and we couldn’t hear a thing. The beds were comfy and we all slept very well. It was ideal being on the ground floor with a buggy and we could easily walk straight out of the hotel to the beach in less than 10 minutes. We absolutely loved White Rock beach, the shallow water was perfect for my 3 year old. It’s so relaxing there with lots of sandy spots. We did also take a taxi to Tsambika beach which was beautiful but much busier. We loved the food at the hotel, I like to eat healthily and loved all the salads and fresh fish. My husband is not so healthy and he went to town on the desserts, but also loved all the hot food choices each day. The heated family pool was great and never too busy. My 3 year old loved the playground in the evenings, it was great to meet other kids and parents there. We met some lovely families. The mini disco at half 7 was right by the restaurant so really easy to get to straight after dinner. The animation team were very friendly and on our last night my son was invited on stage to participate and he loved it. It was very interactive entertainment and great for young children. The staff in the kids club were super nice, especially Aimee and Amy. They did different themes each day. It was quiet in there as it was during term time, so my son only went a couple of times. I would suggest that TUI invest in some new toys for 3-6 year olds as there didn’t seem to be much in there at all. Reception were very helpful and responsive, we had a very late flight and we were able to keep our room until 6pm for a charge. We had one of our best ever holidays and would absolutely return! It’s a beautiful, spacious resort that’s very easy to get around, really perfect for families.
