Grecotel LUXME Dama Dama

We are currently staying at this lovely hotel but the aircon situation is seriously letting them down on what would otherwise be a good hotel. All the team are absolutely lovely (reception could be a bit more forth coming with information regarding the ongoing aircon situation) We have four more nights and it’s quite hard work trying to get a toddler comfortable in this heat despite having four handheld fans blowing on her!

Unfortunately, this hotel was neither the best nor the worst, but for what we paid, we expected a much higher standard. There are definitely a lot of improvements needed. The biggest disappointment was the pools. The water was always cloudy and didn't look particularly clean. Throughout our stay, I didn't see the pool water being checked, and the very basic morning clean didn't seem to make any noticeable difference to the appearance of the water. The all-inclusive food was extremely limited and repetitive. Lunch and dinner were often very similar, with very little variety. On several evenings, we ended up eating out because we simply weren't impressed with the food on offer. The rooms are very basic, with not much storage space. We also had ants in our room, which meant we couldn't keep any snacks or food in there. Another major issue was the lack of sunbeds. During our week-long stay, we only managed to find sunbeds on two days, which really shouldn't be an issue at an all-inclusive resort. The communal areas of the hotel were also uncomfortably warm, which made spending time indoors unpleasant. Overall, we really wanted to love this hotel, but unfortunately we left feeling very disappointed. In our opinion, Grecotel Lux Me Dama Dama is not worth the money we paid. There are simply too many areas that need improvement, and for us, it felt like a complete waste of both time and money

We are currently staying at Grecotel LUXME Dama Dama and unfortunately the air conditioning has seriously affected our holiday. For two nights our room has been unbearably hot. The air conditioning has been running continuously, but changing the temperature setting makes no noticeable difference and the room appears to be getting warmer rather than cooler. It was actually cooler outside than inside our room last night and again this morning. After two nights like this, we’ve had very little sleep. We have since seen another guest report a very similar experience and suggest that the air-conditioning problem may be site-wide. Several communal areas also feel very warm. Strangely, the gym is absolutely freezing, so effective cooling is clearly possible within parts of the hotel. We reported the problem and the filter was removed and cleaned, but even after running the system for several more hours there was no meaningful improvement. There is also a serious safety and security concern. We are on the fourth floor with our 9-year-old son, so leaving the balcony door open overnight isn’t an acceptable solution. Our sliding balcony door also does not lock, and our balcony can potentially be accessed from the adjacent balcony. After two extremely uncomfortable nights we have now asked reception to either resolve these issues, move us to a suitable room, or arrange alternative accommodation. We have also notified Jet2. There are plenty of things we like about the hotel, which makes this particularly disappointing. At a hotel of this standard, a room that is comfortable enough to sleep in and can be properly secured should be a basic expectation. I will update this review depending on how the hotel responds.

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!! The AC is broken (apparently in the whole hotel as confirmed by Reception), it’s impossible to sleep at night when the room is so warm. I’ve requested for the maintenance team to come, however no one came until late evening on the 2nd daye, and said nothing can be done. I requested for a room move, which wasn’t done either so far. Service is extremely slow, guest relations take 3 hours to respond to messages, and when they do the replies are AI generic responses, which are neither helpful nor result in any action being taken. Extremely disappointed with both the condition of the hotel and the way the situation has been handled. I would absolutely not recommend staying here!!

We recently returned from a Golden Wedding celebration holiday with 14 family members of differing age groups The hotel is beautifully kept and the welcome warm and friendly, the staff from reception to restaurants and bars could not have done more to serve and accommodate such a large party we particularly would like to thank Christina guest relation manager for all the little extras and surprises throughout the week to add to our celebration. We had room 837 & 835 which were very comfortable with amazing views from the balconys and other members of our party were in the family accommodation in the main building again could find no fault with it. Despite being peak holiday season with probably maximum capacity the place was spaciously set out and never felt overcrowded and packed. The food is of a high standard and we ate at all the speciality restaurants and found each to have an ambiance of their own. The main buffet restaurant was spotlessly clean with a great selection of hot and cold food, there is something for everyone and lots of outside seating with wine and drinks service so you felt you were more in a restaurant rather than a manic buffet with hundreds of people as is usually the norm. The dine out option in a Greek village was great and the food absolutely delicious and authentic.. we wouldn’t have missed that one ! Beach bar was lovely to sit and people watch and drinks were branded and plentiful… especially the pink prosecco. The pool great for families and the animation team were good fun. Entertainment every night to dance or sit and listen and an open air theatre putting on shows and kids mini discos In fact we could not fault anything except one problem…7 days just wasn’t long enough !!, Thank you Dama Dama for making this long anticipated holiday so special we all hope to return one day.
